HD remixes are nice but they suffer from being made for normal tv's when they get on HD screens, often you see how well shabby they look in HD, I like it, but also often such games are a bit behind in terms of story-telling etc overall compared to expectations, I don't think they are there to make a quick-buck but overall it is often a TV-def version with more resolution nothing more, not better animations, not better face expressions, overall it just is .. not worth it .

I never liked Halo that much either. The only part of the game that excited me was the menu music. PC FPS's still have it all over console. It might be a very long time before things change.
Also: I'm all for good quality remastering of old games. Like LucasArts Monkey Island series... It's no different in my eyes as a fan, of remastering Star Wars in HD or 3D.
I think HD remakes are a nice way nice to make players discover old great games that they didn't get to play at the time they came out and that would look bad now without the hd treatment, you don't have to buy them if you already played them when they first came out really.
The only HD collection I have purchased so far is the MGS one. I'm a fan of the series, and it will be nice to play Peacewalker on the PS3, as I don't have a PSP. I got rid of all my PS2 stuff a long time ago, so it's nice being able to play MGS 2&3 again, and the fact that they even look a little better is a nice bonus.
