I feel like something is lost from them both though. :( I can't quite word what it is, but I feel it when I look at the new version. I am EXTREMELY excited about its release coming up soon though!! @BumBumBumma I saw a trailer on another section. Iason is much crueler in appearance and act as opposed to the sexy\beautiful. Before Iason had this composed authoritative sexiness about him, kind of quiet danger. But the trailer I saw was just a normal dominate. Before Iason didn't really have to punish Riki, he kind of keep control merely by intimidation, not now. The new one just looks like a kind of albino to me-sickly and too pale.
I'd only be happier to hear about a Silmarillion made in Final Fantasy style than about this Ai no Kusabi remake.
Please let there be more Katze and Raoul in this and less friggin Riki's gang who nobody gives a crap about anyway. And please, please let Sho Hayami voice Raoul again, if we cannot have the same unbelievable voice for Iason. (he won't even be Iason to me if he sounds different.)

Also you have to remember that a Manga-Ka's / Anime artisit's skills change over time. Also the anime should be out in September 2009.

That's the original art from the novel, that not really something to go crazy about. I have the novels, the art is just the original before they put up the anime. Seriously if you don't believe me check out google and type in the Ai no kusabi they will give you the anime ova and the novel covers.

More episodes are great (the old one was really short and looked like not to be complete), but I´m not sure if I am going to watch, because I like the old one graphics look much more better. I am almost crying about Iason´s new look Y_Y

The official wesite does not tell the release date for Japan so i'm thinking its going to start coming out in the Winter. Umm Aarinfantasy normally does the subbing so maybe January if it all falls or maybe eairlier than that for the subbing im really not sure it all depends on how much personal time the subbing people have hope that helped a little... :D
Hey! I think you should watch the original OVA's first, that way you can get a feel for the upcoming new OVA's. Plus, you'll be informed on many other things like, characters, plot, scenery, etc... ^_^
From what I've seen Riki has a stronger face, and Iason is kind of girly for me...like it's reversed, really... and I wonder about the voice cast... I dunno...I will watch it as a full new anime, not a continuation

i'm 80% sure the new VA for Iason is Ohkawa Tooru (FMA: Roy Mustang, Bleach: Jin Kariya...) and Riki would be Itou Kentarou (Junjou Romantica: Kamiya Hiroki, Ikoku Irokoi Romantan: Ranmaru, Bleach: Abarai Renji...) why? coz i've listened AnK's drama cd remake which had those 2 voiced the characters...besides, there were Miki Shinichirou & Koyasu Takehito involved in the drama cd too...hopefully the VAs for the new OVA remain the same as the drama cd's but it all depends on the producer/director

Just came across this video & I yelled "YIPPEE!!" Not only do I have the old Ai no Kusabi but the novel Taming Riki, Vol. 1, parts 1 & 2 by Kira Takenouchi. Sadly part 3 will never be due to the author deciding to no longer write yaoi. Some of you will know of what I speak.
I like that the new Ai no Kusabi will be more intailed. Hope the ending will be happier. If not, maybe Becca Abbott's Wasteland...?? The story resurrect s Iason & Riki. Will just have to wait & see with the remake.

I can't wait because I actually just started reading the novels, and just a few days ago watched tyhe original so it's gonna be great!!! Hopefully it will originally be released in Enlgish too so I can buy it on DVD ha ha

Ok well there isn't a real cast yet they are still looking for people. and for the sex its is Adults only! (Contains explicit sexual content) so yeah im guessing there is a lot of sex cuz its of the Ai No Kusabi novels hope that answered you guestion^^

i'm 80% sure the new VA for Iason is Ohkawa Tooru (FMA: Roy Mustang, Bleach: Jin Kariya...) and Riki would be Itou Kentarou (Junjou Romantica: Kamiya Hiroki, Ikoku Irokoi Romantan: Ranmaru, Bleach: Abarai Renji...) why? coz i've listened AnK's drama cd remake which had those 2 voiced the characters...besides, there were Miki Shinichirou & Koyasu Takehito involved in the drama cd too...hopefully the VAs for the new OVA remain the same as the drama cd's but it all depends on the producer/director

did u mean the AnK drama CD I mentioned b4? it's in Japanese but the story is more or less same as in its novel..I'm downloading the 3rd part titled RESONANCE...the 2nd part is NIGHTMARE...so far I heard the tracks it follows the novel storyline so if u have the novels, no problem to understand it XD

They've casted a new guy. Ookata Tooru. Even Riki is different. He's played by Itou Kentarou.
Don't know about the sex though. It'll suck if they leave it out though.

It will be on a dvd like the original. ANK would never be put on television due to the content. Maybe on a pay channel that has lat night entertainment loike Cinemax after Dark.

i thought they died, too, and i think it will end like that for the remake. if it's 13 episodes i think they will elaborate more the relationship of Iason and Riki. still, I'm hoping the ending would be different, but I suspect it's unlikely. who knows .... I'm so looking forward for it. It's one of the most beautiful love stories of all times

Just came across this video & I yelled "YIPPEE!!" Not only do I have the old Ai no Kusabi but the novel Taming Riki, Vol. 1, parts 1 & 2 by Kira Takenouchi. Sadly part 3 will never be due to the author deciding to no longer write yaoi. Some of you will know of what I speak.
I like that the new Ai no Kusabi will be more intailed. Hope the ending will be happier. If not, maybe Becca Abbott's Wasteland...?? The story resurrect s Iason & Riki. Will just have to wait & see with the remake.

Saving up so when the remake comes out can buy it.
Knowing the TR Vol. 1, Part 3 will never see the light of day makes Pts 1&2 all the more precious. Maybe Kira will get tired of writing non-yaoi and return to her true calling. With her anything is possible.
