I use a iphone 3GS and it works great. I also use ipod touch 4th generation and that works great. I don't own ipod touch 2nd generation so I don't know why your having problems. I would contact sendstation maybe they can help you. Or upgrade your ipod to a new generation.

Audio will come out at a fixed setting. You might need headphone with volume

Control built into it. Or head phone cable adaptor with volume dial

@DeAdLyTuRk Yes. Every Ipod, Iphone, ipod,touch I have ever owned sound comes out two ways. out headphone jack, and out the 30 pin dock connector. Audio will come out at a fixed setting. You might need headphone with volume control built into it. Or head phone cable adapter with volume dial
