Who ever marked my post spam please do not. My Dad's 64 Dodge Dart named 'Billy's Goat' is on the video between 2:48-2:54. He passed away in December 2008 from Lou Gehrig's disease. If anyone knew him or have any old Dragway 42 photos with his car in the pits (even if only a fender) please contact me. I was too young to have memories of the car but I do have two photos of the car - but from the rear only. I am hoping to build a model of the car if I can get other images.

My dad raced a 56 Corvette called Purple Haze with a ultra psychedelic paint job at 42 and Thompson..wish I could find a the video of it running......5 speed small block and wheels up launches...I was about 2 years old......These videos are great!

Such great memories. My dad raced at 42 for many years with his BB/A Fiat. Even raced his tow car (57 Chrysler 300C) which he still hs today. Thanks for posting this!

John Wasilloff's CLARK AUTO PARTS "IT" Anglia Prefect was my favorite car there as a young teenager...it crashed there one weekend...it's crunched body sat on a scrap pile at the corner of the pits for a few years....his Corvette push car was pretty cool too.

Thanks for the comment, just to set the record right, I was John's partner on the "IT" and I drove it from 64/66. He crashed after we parted ways. The Video is from the time I was with John. I still wish I had kept that 1960 Corvette, sold it for $1500 in 1967.

I like the way they have the shutdown area going up hill at Island Dragway they had a cable that cut the roof off a Willys going 160 on fuel and hit the rowlbar.
