I used the handle of an old disposable Gillette razor the one with 2 razor blades in the head. Just remove the razor head for safety and chop the rounded part of the handle off and you got a nice long hollow part that runs along the handle. It works perfect sewing thread type cord all the way up to 550 para cord. Hope this helps.
