@lojathise When you are being targeted you get a slow beeping sound

when you are locked on you get a constant tone.

Once the missile is fired you get a rapid high-pitched beeping sound, this is when you should release the flares, it works better with a gunner since you co-ordinate your flares.

The stall maneuver is quite nifty and I don't quite use that enough, so thanks for the tip there. Death spiral? That made me chuckle.

You've left out the trick where when you do the pop up and go over the other side, or whenever heading for cover, if you press D and spin the chopper round, it loses altitude and turns rather quick. Give it a go if that makes any sense, if not then I shall make a vidya of my piloting skills too. :)

I am a keen chopper pilot in the game - some suggestions -

Maybe include introduction to the basics, e.g. hovering, gaining speed, using momentum, landing, landing on a slope, emergency landing, etc

And for the advanced - hiding under bridges and using structures to shelter from incoming locked on missiles, taking out jets, load-outs for killing vehicles from extreme distances, "pumping" the chopper for more speed, etc, you get the idea, a lot of content, good luck.

I personally think gunning is easy and common sense, but I keep getting people hopping in the gunner's seat just for the nice view and don't kill a damn thing. @866152 not at all. the guns are fairly balanced and DICE is doing what it can to make it better.still the frag rounds are stupidly OP and should do more damage to the user at close range + have lower effct range. but yes the vehicles should handle the same to maintain balance, skin them size them all you want, but create tradeoffs at the least. The viper is so much better than the havoc that its game breaking. the havoc doesn't even deal more damage or take less damage) same with jets US>RU

Asking for "balance" is naive to say the least cuz then it just wont be fun anymore. what i like about dice games are their attention to detail.

@866152 Hmm im afraid youve lost me there. You need to put more hours into both helis and go up against skilled pilots. You will then realize that 9/10 you will lose in the havoc and win in the viper. Look across the board, any skilled heli pilot has way more kills in the viper than the havoc...sure you want to make the bigger russian heli fly slower? No problemo, just give it a buff on damage output or armor amount. then it would be worth it. ORRRR just make it fly the same

I have a set of x52's to fly with (won them off a forum years ago). They aren't as responsive as mouse/keyboard even with the sensitivity turned up max within the game. I refuse to use mouse and keyboard because I enjoy the experience more.
