Hmmm, No it is not an eQ2b! It's real mechanical siren! You can hear that it's real. If you look closly at the drivers front corner on the extended front bumper (as well as a clip from this fellows other video you'll see it) It's a stripped down mechanical siren with a red front. I'm going to guess it's a Federal model 28. Especially with the quick wind down on arrival. It's a shame the video quality is poor.

Theres so many false rumors as to why they dont use Q's its not even funny...BUT...one of the real and the main reason is....from a very good source, they dont use Q sires b/c of the seagrave warranty. And if they drill holes into the rig the FDNY will be brought up on charges. So most houses find very creative ways to mount there sirens....ive seen duct tape, zip ties, rope, etc. Personally, I hate the Eq2b. Sounds like a cat with a finger (or paw w/e) up its a**.
actually i was talking to my asst. chief who is in FDNY and he has said they (city) are starting to reconize how effective the Q is and i believe they are allowing them to install them, but thing is it's dumb to say about something with a warranty, why, there are so many other dept.'s out there with a Q on them and it does'nt effect the whole apparatus.
The warranty also prohibits the self installed Q's b/c they have to tap into the electrical system. Since a Q2b draws so much power, it can can take away power, shorten out, or cause failure to other more important features of the rig putting FF's in risk of injury or death God for bid. (I should have mentioned that in the first one but I can only type 500 characters on the comment so i couldnt fit all of this.)

using 3 and 2 is usual for a 10-75 a fire. but most of these fire alarms arent related to fire.. a lot of bs alarms.
