kinda looked like Bruce. I thought Bruce Li was better. Probably the best of all the imitators. Plus he actually knew various martial arts including Taekwondo boxing, and wing chun. He also did gymnastics.
This was from one of the worst martial arts films on the planet. "No Retreat No Surrender" It was also Jean Claude Van Damme's american debut. They even had a stereotypical black guyinthe movie dressed as michael jackson. "shudder"
holy cow, my god people. Bruce lee died in the 70s and this movie is in the mid 80s. no shit this isnt the real bruce lee. its a movie, their all ACTORS lol. In this movie, bruce lee comes back from the dead to teach this kid kung fu. lol hokey, yes, its a typical cheesy 80s film. I love them
i didnt know that !i coudnt see the credits of this movie(fucked up)always wanted to know who this guy is,thanx; and why he said he was "lee dai gar" ,on the movie?.Again what happens to the credits on this movie gee!
I loved this film as a kid but whilst looking for it on here on youtube, things dont seem right. has the soundtrack changed? Has Bruces voice changed? It could just be me remembering it better than it was???
Why are people posting that it is not the real Bruce??? Obviously not seeing that he died about 10 years before the film was made, you see his grave in the film and its supposed to be his spirit training the guy!!!! dumb asses!
That was NOT Bruce Lee. Bruce Lee followers beware, for there is much fraud out there. Movies starring "Bruce Li" are afoot. Know your sensei. Avoid the imposters.
So if I don't live with the soda and utilize CHEEEEEE, I'll have the result of powah?
Oh, and to deepin2urheart, size doesn't equal being successful in a fight. Arnold's not actually that big in person and would've had his ass whipped by Bruce even in his glory days. Bodybuilders don't develop functional strength, whereas fighters train strength with intention and a purpose. Look at the world's strongest man competition, do you ever see bodybuilders in that?
I heard that Kung fu is a meditational theory which strenthens your mind, concentration as well your resistance ability to withstand punches and kicks...
I think Kung fu teachings must be mandatory in all schools
true. true. EXCEPT... arnold never trained to fight. he'd probably lose any fight, unless he got a good hook in. it would knock your jaw off. and he IS that big. not tall, but wide. like, he blocks out the sun. but bruce could beat anyone. i hate UFC, but i wish bruce was around just to own someone
Both muscles and height are overestimated. I train full contact karate and I know an ex-bodybuilder turned karateka.Suits your description perfectly:tall, really massive muscles and heavy body. But he was slow. This guy suffered terrible muscle cramps durng a kumite (sparring). Powerful blows in a big muscle makes it painfully stiff. Bigger muscle-worse pain. That`s why competitors can`t stay on their feet or walk after powerful lowkicks; leg muscles are big. Muscles are flesh after all not iron.
Take a ruler and measure how far your extended fingers are... It's typically about 4-5 inches right? So it was really more then a once inch punch. A one inch punch would be to place the first joint after the knuckles that you punch with on the person and punch from there, though on me that's still 2 inches, lol. Try it yourself.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
It's not the called the one inch punch because of its distance its called that because of the move and very few people can knock someone down with that punch from that close
Lol...yeah ok..It's called a 1 one inch punch because that's the distance it's delivered from. Your statement made no sense. That is why Bruce Lee used to do the punch starting from the knuckle joint closest to the fist, generally considered to be about 1 inch is distance. From the fingertips is generally 3-4 inches, though it's called a 3 inch punch.
Lol..yes, when you practice it enough. I have a student that has a football player build, 5'9" and 240lbs. I sent him back about 4 feet and he stumbled and fell from a 1 inch punch and was shocked at the power. When you train right with tendon strengthening, breathing and chi circulation and other physical techniques you can generate a lot of power which can be very effective at close range where most fights occur.
ya he replaced bruce in game of death 1 n 2 but wow thats pretty bad how he cant actually do the 1 inch punch, because he said he wants to "train hard like bruce though he wont become anything like him."

JUST A SIMPLE QUESTION TO ALL THE VIEWERS
WHO YOU THINK IS MORE POWERFUL
CHINESE WITH SLIM, SHORT, COMPACT BODY KNOWING KUNG FU or OR or
AMERICANS HAVING TALL, TUF, MASSIVE, HEAVY BODY KNOWING KUNFGU..
SUPPOSE ARNOLD SCHWARZNEGGAR KNOWING KUNGFU AND BRUCE LEE KNOWING KUNG FU REALLY FIGHT WHO WILL PROBABLY WIN
deepin2urheart 3 years ago
the small kung fu guy because muscles are heavy and slow you down and the kung fu guy would probably have more stamina.
