I 'jai ho' could win an oscar for Rahman, then almost all his songs can win oscars for him. Honestly jai ho isnt his master piece. His work in Vinnaithandi Varuvaya, Roja, Bombay, Duet, Guru, Jillinu oru kaadhal and countess other albums are waaaaaaayyyyyyy better than jai ho. Jai ho is any other Indian song. Nothing unique compared to other Rahman musicals :)

@JamesWhannel Thanks 4the frank opinion. I think, If I Rise was much deserving. AR Rahman himself had admitted he gave so little time for composing SM compared to his other scores. For most of us except Latika's Theme, SM movie score was a mediocre work 4 his standard. But that is my opinion. Respects your opinion too. Thanks for liking AR Rahman music.

I never saw this movie but the snip-its shown makes me wish to view this movie. It appears to me the Gentleman is DO-ing a dream considered 'illegal' to do possibly in another country.
