@leefuji some motif sounds are nice and better, but im still exploring the sounds of the my kronos. the piano is far better then motif. the motif has no life, and yes its clearly a video of a video recording for the kronos piano. not reliable at all, be serious. korg has a way better ep sounds, and korg sounds, and more options for sampling and creating sounds and synths. better sequencer and user interface. Ive used only motifs before i bought my kronos, and the better choice is clear.

You all have to understand that Kronos plays in a another league. The Motif XF has

740 Mb Sounds. Kronos has 30 GB Sounds. The Motif is also good but when you play the Kronos you will forget the Motif and of course the Korg M3 and Triton:-) I was always a yamaha fan but now i had to chance my opinion. This video is not objective because you they have choosen a very bad Kronos Demo with bad audio quality and a moderate performer. Whatever - people will test before they buy a new workstation.

@micha8877 Kronos has 30 GB internal hard drive, not waveform memory. And the strenght of the Kronos is not the sample bank memory size, but wide range of synthesis types. Anyway, Motif is a great tool in hands of pro, as well as M3, Fantoms etc. Vid's title "which one is the best" is kind of misunderstanding....

@jwesKeys there is no problem with his Korg kronos videos . the answer is really is .. The Yamaha Motif XF is superior in sounds compared to the Kronos which didn't add anything new. That's why you liked the Yamaha videos more due to the authenticity of the sounds.

I'd have to say the Kronos out of the Korg lineup. I've owned the Triton and the M3 and they both had amazing sounds. Basically the Kronos is an upgrade from both those boards and an improvement on the sound.

However, I am sad they didn't put the pads on the kronos from the M3. : (

now for yamaha goes, those boards sound amazing. Plus yamaha has the best feeling keys, with Kurtzweil. Due to the fact they are the only ones who make actual pianos so they got their stuff down tight.

As long as ppl use their synthesizers as sampleplayers, they will always need a new synth to get new sounds. And new sound can never be a substitute for missing musical ideas or lack of training on the keys.

If I had the money would get a Kurzweil PC361. Look for a video with Geoffrey Gee presenting a Kurzweil. Not less amazing than this video.

No offense but I would rather have a studioBLADE. It's tons more bang for your buck than the kronos, motif, fantom, anything. It's basically an open labs, but at the same price as the kronos, with better specs than an open labs model. Plus it's upgradable

It's hard to compare the new Kronos to the motif, the kronos isn't made for making hiphop/pop etc... It's specifically for cinematic music for movies/films/video games etc... The korg may be great with piano's from what I've seen but the rest of the sounds are pretty average, the motif is still king for everyday music.

sorry, 1st you compair sounds from your directly in with a very bad record of the NAMM video, but even if you do that, the Kronos CX-3 is more fat and the distortion is warm not as on the Yamaha ! You also need to play the different pianos on Kronos.

And even your y can´t this be love sound is great ... You must play the Kronos !!!

I play korg triton extreme and i like korg pax3 (new sax,trumpet,harmonica...)too,b­ut i have a band and i dont interesting for arranger keyboard.I like only good sounds on the keyboards and i dont want 9,10 or 11 engines...milion moogs,and 0 pads.Piano 4.7gB?I will turn soon on youtube my digital piano ymaha p 200 and you will see what is mean AMAZIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING piano sound.Best regards.

I am BOKI TATKO with green watch on left hand,but you probably meen on my friend Miljan,who is amazing in playing 1000 of sounds in one song(Rosanna) on just one keyboard (KORG M3) in real time. By the way,he met Lukhater here in Belgrade and took him by car to his concert. :) He is his biggest fan,as you can see.

Off-course you play other stuff well, and I like ToTo very much, thing is, many people play ToTo stuff which was initially played by a keyboard player on a keyboard, so it's not a big deal,.

In my opinion, taking an ethnic wind or string instrument, and play it on a keyboard so it sounds authentic - that a hard thing most keyboard players can't.

Only problem is, you are such a good player that I'm sure you'd make the Kronos sound good as well...

Anyway, there are lots of keyboards players who can play a piano sound on a keyboard , but there are very few who can bring the other sound come to life like you can.
