Some of the comments here prove that some people will never be strong willed enough to resist the brainwashing that goes on in this country. Northern Ireland is a very nice place. I was recently in Belfast actually, and it's now a buzzing place that's growing in optimism. The younger people up there are wonderful and will be the making of Northern Ireland in the future. Both communities of NI need to realise that they are actually similar and should co-operate and learn to trust each other more. The reality is, both communities will have to get along and live side-by-side in the future, whether it's still in the UK or part of a UI.

THE LIE IS THAT THE UK IS A NON-VIOLENT, PEACE LOVING COUNTRY1 Look at the statistics of violent crime in London & large cities in the UK. IT'S worse than MANY in the USA. All the gun-control & laws didn't change human behaviour.

The biggest lie is that laws concerning objects (guns, drugs, or liquor) can change a society. Social ills are remedied at the root causation; not at the inanimate object, that is a symbol that rallies votes from the uninformed & fearful.

Only dissident ones. Generally, the IRA and Loyalist paramilitaries are on the decrease. Communities dont want them anymore and have come to realise that they are not protecting communities, they're exploiting them.

Mentallity is still the same really, but people are finding better ways to express this without resorting to violence. But then again, this is the start of the riot season, so we just have to wait and see i guess.
