The LS1 is 346 Cubic Inches and if anyone has ever owned one of each from the same generation, you will realize the Camaro handles like a boat. The Mustangs are more poised but definitely still need more work on suspension.

@SDHUMPUP The sound all depends on what you put in the car (pipes, headers, muflers, NO cats vs cats, and cut outs).  It has nothing to do with manufacturer (V8 Chevy vs V8 Ford). I'll post my camaro when I pick it up in June (flying home to get it then). Then you will here the difference.

Sounds like a VT Stage 2 NA Cam, off road x pipe, and SLP Loud Mouth 1 exhaust. It also sounds like it could be stroked.

Type in SLP LM1 302 Stroker... It should bring up a red Mustang from a guy named Warrior. Sounds identical and he lists everything he has done to make it sound like that. Jason

you dont have to lift the engine...all you need to do is take off the covers, and remove the girdles or caps, depending if you have a windsor or romeo, but put an air compressor over the spark plug hole so the valves dont drop, then replace the springs one cylinder at a time with the air compressor keeping the valves up so u dont drop them...then put it back together, its not hard, but itll take u awhile
