@OsakaSmallFry: actually, Carol Ponder is the woman playing Fatima in this video. Janice Copeland was the actress that played Margaret in "It's Me Again, Margaret" as well as Sister Bertha in the "Mississippi Squirrel" video.

OMG! I almost forgot about this song! My grandfather played this song till the record died! I was 4years old and knew it by heart!!! LOL Thanks for the laughs :D
Eatin on rasin, grape, apricot, pomegranate, bowl of chitlines, two bananas, three candy bars, sippin on an ice cold Coca-Cola, listenin to her transistor, and singin "Does Your Chewing Gum Lose Its Flavor?"
Just switch Coca Cola with RC, take out the pomegranata and apricot, and put Allison Kraus in there and you've got my beautiful girlfriend.
I love this song, but I think I know which version kitekunisaki2000 is talking about... It's the one from the "Ray Stevens Collection." That recording of it is my favorite.
@kitekunisaki2000: By newer version what exactly do you mean? Ray wrote this song and originally recorded it in 1962 and then he re-recorded it in 1969 and then re-recorded it a third time in 1995 which is what we hear on this music video. There have only been three recordings of this song from Ray. If anyone else has recorded this song then it's news to me.
hilarious music video. I first heard this song back in the mid-late 1980's when my grandfather purchased a Ray Stevens "Greatest Hits" cassette tape. That collection from 1987 is where I heard several Ray Stevens songs for the very first time. I became a fan for life at that moment.
@ACcountryFan My grandfather also purchased that same album and that's when I was first introduced to him. I still have the tape here in the house, although, I just about wore it out.

He is from Georgia and that is actually the way half the population in the south pronounce it, kinda like they say EYEtalians. It is a southern thang
