But MACAU and HONGKONG has retured back to China eventually. Taiwan will be the next.
Oh, and boycott won't suddently free tibet, and bring human rights to China, it'll only create more bitterness and resentment on both sides, reducing the amount of dialouge and discussion.

Even if the Australian government does not boycott the Olympics, I hope all the world's athletes ask themselves this question: Do I want my glory to be bought with the blood of the innocents? Do I want to take part in an evil spectacle that will be the Beijing Olympics? I hope at least some athletes will do the right thing and boycott the Olympics.
Also note that previous boycotts occurred in 1980 and 1936 and that didn't work. It's a pointless exercise. That's why I say good on the Australian athletes for not boycotting and good luck to them in Beijing.
You would not expect any aussie goverment to have any real backbone when it comes to issues of morals or ethics, maybe if the yanks gave ye permission to boycott ye might think about it.
