@AmnellAndreas hey man it looks like you like your marshalls, but im in debates on getting one because all of the ones ive tries like the jcm 2000 and the avm just sound muffled and has a poor tone to my ears, so ive been looking at an orange but would like to see how you cleaned up the tone on your amp thanks

@jitk1 depends on what settings u use on the amp, and what pick ups are in the guitar, and what guitar u use. The JCM 2000 is a great amp, that I'm actually considering buying.

It also depends on if you can handle the marshall amp good and if you can play guitar :)

I'm not saying I'm a great guitarist.. But a marshall is a great amp and in the right guitarists hand (which would be many guitarists) its a great weapon ;)

So nope, these amps were bought for my own money.. I've saved hard to be able to buy my stuff

@Gromaxxy well.. I own several guitars. I just tend to favor that Les Paul. It's my first electric guitar. And it's the one that feels best to me.. You know, everything isn't about brand, a lot is about if you feel comfortable with the guitar and if it sounds good. Mine is comfortable, feels great and sounds really good!

@Gromaxxy Stupid post. I guarantee you, that you will not sound nearly as good as this kid, with the most expensive guitar on the planet. If you get lucky and end up with a guitar that plays/sounds great, then fuck it. I have a '74 gibson LP custom, a three year old (roughly) gibson LP billy joe signature model, and an '05 Epiphone LP Classic. Guess which one sounds AND plays the best lol? Great playing and equipment, Amnell.

I played one a month or so ago at guitar center.I was like"..I can get this easily" with my Rocktron Pirahna setup. I went to buy an MXR 78 badass pedal this evening at GC..They have a full stack AFD.some kids were playing it with a very nice amber GIBSON les paul traditional.asked me if I wanted to try and said sure"..I played My Michelle and that amp F"n ROCKED!. Man' thats how a REAL Marshall is supposed to sound! I regret selling my 79" JMP head I payed $550 back in 2001.F- -K"!

The reason i prefer the 800 would probably because its so easy to use and its a great rock amp.. If you use a tube screamer with it you can get real great lead tones out of it :)
