@peque1204 There is very often a prompter in opera productions to make sure the singers do not forget their script. It is not always used, but often is there.
This is actually terrific. A true Verdian singer with fantastic art. From the technique standpoint, every single note and passage is well supported, there is not one single scream or push. Her acting is just right, this is bel canto, not verismo. Her italian is nearly impeccable. I saw her Leonora live at the Met earlier this year. The recording devices do not do her voice full justice for her sound is very, very complex, rich in overtones and nuances which can only be heard live. Marvelous.
@EnriqueCross most Verdian sopranos have been bashed throughout the generations, hence the bashing against Muzio, the hatred towards Callas, Tebaldi, Milanov, Price, Millo and so on. Spinto or lirico-spinto sopranos who learn bel canto, carrying a highly focused line of singing sul fiato (on the breath) that resonates on the mask, have not been easily taken or understood. However, the result of their art on the stage will eventually prove their unjust and enviously fed reputation wrong.
@EnriqueCross I don't doubt that you are a skilled musician, but I cannot agree with your assessment here. I agree with soundfond that she is wonderful. In some ways I think that she will be this generation's Tebaldi. I'd love to see her doing Fanciulla at the Met next season instead of Voigt, whose voice is wrong for the part. I think Sondra could sing the hell out of Minnie!
she sings spectacular, but I don't like in this video hear someone says to her the script.

@Menckenperson Yeah, I feel the same way. It's pushed together, more solid. I love the duet in the end:)

you have got to be kidding. This is hideously out of pitch.
I have heard it live with a group of young singers and they were horrified how bad,
