If he wanted to play a melody like all the other bass players in the world do over maiden voyage so the audience who paid a cover charge could hear it, he would.
In his defense, I would like to see more people sound like something unique instead of the SOS!

Totally unmelodic. When he can't think of a melody he resorts to finger patterns and tapping tricks.

@lewisnatmcmahon True. I was too hard on the guy. He's a great bass player, just not my "cup of tea." Amazing technique.
