shittest pacifist weapon ever. head shot everyone with it and now i have one skull showing up....wtf?!!!! tried leaving the body near two guards and firing a shot to see if they'd wake him up and see if it's just a visual glitch, but nope...i'm fucking screwed for the pacifist achievement it seems. stupid bug testers. this is a game breaking bug.

tranq rifle is only effective against the weaker enemies once you get further into the game it's pretty much useless

@RenzoGames tranq rifle worked for me all the way to the end. however a shot to the head with it can be a lethal dose. in case someone wants to go for pacifist remmember it

@ReallyBadSanta69 I think I read about that in a comment of another video. When you're 7 minutes or more in the Sarif Industries headquarter, the game treats the side mission as lost.

Once you have left Sarif Industries time doesn't matter anymore, though. So take your time exploring the level. You can explore the Sarif Headquarters after all after the level with the hostages anyway.

The Revolver with the Burst is pretty epic. One shots easy people.

deactivating the bomb is so lame why dont you just shoot the poison containers or throw a garbage can at it

Eventually the tranquilizer becomes bad due to the fact you will eventually find enemies that have to take more tranquilizer than Brtiney Spears can to go down.

Tranq rifle is the best gun in the game. Seriously. Absolutely silent and it doesn't kill. Ammo is annoying to stockpile though.

I love doing this game with the tranquilizer and takedowns that don't kill. Too bad the tranquilizer can accidentally kill the person you shoot, same goes for the not-killing takedowns...

@Tordah26 I don't like the tranq rifle.. I was sooo in love with it until my first shot. I shot the guy 4 times and he never reacted, just kept patrolling around. I tried my best, but i just end up wasting all of my ammo, killing everyone in other ways. You can even see the numerous darts on their bodies. The second playthough this glitch went away - but i passed the whole game (except the last 3 bosses) without anything in my inventory. Crossbow bolts have 70% chance of breaking :(

@akburst510 I agree, its a nice weapon but not for pacifist walkthrough and not for range. Also you cant take down a whole room like that without getting noticed

@akburst510 Pistol is lethal while tranq. rifle is mostly non-lethal, since there's a random but small chance that somebody may die from the dart..

@TheMasamune444 don't remember sorry, I think you can upgrade it 3 times. So if you find a fourth upgrade then it cant be used again. Reload speed upgrade works and heat seeking (or something like that)

If you examine the upgrades you can sometimes read what weapon you can use it on.

If you're not seen, you get Ghost, which is worth 500XP.

I pretty much finished the game without engaging most of the opponents on the 1st playhrough. It's really stupid that game isn't awarding even more exp for sneaking past them. Most of the Tai Yong Medical level can be played by freely moving around, without guards bothering you if you will pull out the right words. That's what I love this game for.
