This song says alot. I left two days ago to afghanistan and had to say good bye to my girlfriend of 14 years. I have been deployed 4 times to Iraq and Afghanistan and each time I had to say goodbye and I would be back for her. She always says she will wait for me like she has for so many years. I promised I would marry her when I was laying in the hospital bed after being shot on our last deployment. I will do that. I love her and promise I will make it home for you. This is the last deployment.
