You know what, I understand how hard it is for deaf parents to teach their children to sign. My husband and I have struggled with it for the last few years, but it's necessary. I may be hearing, but their father isn't. If someone spoke Spanish, French, or any other language, the kids would be expected to know that language. Signing is no different

1st offence: explain why behavior is not ok, firm warning

2nd time: removal of privilage for day or timeout

3rd time: removal of bigger privilage for longer time, ex: no tv, no going outside, no video games, or the worst thing i as a parent have in store..grounded to room for night. believe me the threat of this is usualy enough to get my boy to cut the bullcrap real quick. when life gets boring they cut it out.
