  • its not awful they just put chlorine and flouride in it to make it cleaner

  • top fin, right? I have a top fin 10 gallon tank to. ur tank looks awsome. Check out my Pet intro video about my red eareed slider.

  • go to londontip9 on youtube by the way great vid

  • dude i dout thats 10 gallons

  • @anthony1234883 Do you have a reason why I would say otherwise?

  • @nerice6 sorry it just looks alot bigger but either way awesome set up

  • @nerice6

whith yellow sliders do i need to treat my water before addin them

because i think there fresh water turtles

and i think there water needs treating

  • do you ever take it out of water? (can it come out?)

  • finger... ohh nom nom nom nom nomz!

  • what kind of water do you need to use bottled water sink water idk

  • @sk8turboy1 I just use tap water. It doesn't matter. They're turtles. They naturally live in pretty dirty water anyways.

  • @nerice6 ok. Thanks

  • @nerice6 yes, but use tap water conditioner, tap water isn't very well, it'll do but better to use conditioner, it's cheap

  • @nerice6 no no no dont use tap the difference between dirty pond water and tap is that tap has flouride and chlorine even tho they dont necesarily drink it . it hurts their skin and they get it in their system when they eat

  • @sk8turboy1 you can also use tap water but cleanse it with these special things like a stress coat which clean water and protect your pets

  • Thats an awesome setup and great turtles =)

  • that tank looks awsome land on the top and water on the bottom im thinking of gettin a turtle good video

  • Comment removed

  • I really want to get a Slider Turtle like 3 of them. Can i use a fish tank? i have a pretty big one and what do they eat

  • @Lufios Yeah, definitely. That's what I've been doin'. I give my turtles Reptomin food, fruits, and veggies. Google certain foods though before you give it to them because, for example, mushrooms can give them gout.

  • dry shrimp

  • i have that same filter =)

  • @ReptoBoi That's cool. But now I have a new one (my latest video)!

  • I created a site, showmyreptile com, where you can upload pics, videos, start discussions, chat w/ other members, and start groups. Looking for members, would love for you to join. Thanks!

  • ur turtles are living the life!!! what a nice place to live

  • @momowowo16 Aw, well thanks. They sure are happy!

  • what do you have them in now? i know they got huge as bricks by now.

  • @kellydjelly Check out my latest turtle videos.

  • Hello! :D I love your vidos. I'm getting two babies soon, a Common Musk Turtle and a Yellow Slider. With my huge garden and many large Dogs they will always remain inside. Will they try to hibernate? :o I can't seem to find any solid research on the matter, and it would be better to ask someone with experience anyway. Thank you! :D

  • @RobynGemma Hello there. Thanks! Congrats on your two new babies. =) Turtles are just so much fun! You'll love them to pieces. If you're keeping your turtles inside, they won't need to hibernate. The environment inside your house will be room temperature. Only when they live outside and it's very cold will they need to hibernate.

  • @nerice6 Oh okay, thank you very much! :D You have a beautiful singing voice by the way. And a heat lamp is a must have, right? I am definitely going to buy one, just checking. ^_^ Thank you again! I'm really excited, never had them before. <3

  • @RobynGemma Aw thank you for the compliment. =) I didn't get a separate heat lamp. I just used the light that came with the tank. My turtles like it. I also take them outside sometimes for good ol' natural heat from the sun... they also get Vitamin D from the sun. Have fun with your new turtles!!

  • @nerice6 Thanks again, it really helped. :3

  • @RobynGemma You're welcome!

  • ok thx b:)

  • our the easy to look after ?

  • @mercedeslego Yup. Give them a tank, light, food, and some love.. and you're good to go! They enjoy the outdoors too... so let them walk around outside sometimes while keeping a close eye on them. They also get some natural vitamin D. =) GREAT PETS!! I've had them for almost 4 years now, and I've enjoyed every minute of them (as you can probably tell from all my turtle videos, lol).

  • whats that on the ground.i got two baby turtles but one is so lazy is that normal

  • lol my turtle likes to race every time i put him with the other he wins

  • i have the same filter as you for my african sideneck turtle

  • whats the rule of thumb for the amount of water in the aquarium. Most i see in stores is half the amount of yours, with way bigger turtles. Not dogging, just a question.

  • @NewEdge04GT 10 gallons per inch of shell

  • that music was easy to listen to. HOW OLD ARE YOUR TURTLES?

  • very nice tank setup

  • i got the same island as you and also i got 2 turtles

  • i really like your tank, it's super clean ^^ i have the same rock :D

  • really nice tank man so clean i bet they love it! you should check out my videos

  • wow nice tank!

  • i have a juvinial turtle he eats live fish and krill and veggies and pellets how d oyou keep that water so clean please tell me i cant get myn clean

  • @Gregorybot I clean the filter a few times a month. And I clean the entire tank (along with its accessories) when it gets very dirty.

  • 4 my opinion, i thinks it's because of the rock's to reflect the light to the tank. so like the rock's make the tanks water lighter for some reason, and that makes the water look kind of clean. Im going to put rock's into my fish tank. Hope this help's out.

  • new report my turtle eats shrimp krill and healthy stuff you know why cause i went to buy some cool hes really healthy and happy and a air pump works okay for me and he is trained by noise commands and chopstick do you still have turtles cause what do you feed them my turtle lives in a 8 gallon something

  • @metalgear1997 Everyday, I give my turtles Reptomin food. I also give them fruits and veggies.

  • where did u get the pebbles.... where did u buy them? i checked a lot of places but i couldnt find them...

  • @MayLiu16 local pet store

  • @MayLiu16 I got mine at Hobby Lobby. You can also get them at Walmart or the dollar store.

  • I just got 3 baby painted turtles. i have no idea what i should do with there tank, how exspensive are the lightss?

  • @bullettprooffbabee the lights are5$ you should make a half water half land tank i have one with newts and a baby lobster to prepare the tank i would recomend plants and sand the land i put a roch slab and used a 10 tank

  • am so happy i got my first pet turtle i know its diet size and health its very healthy and very pretty shell its a boy i named him joey and hes active and happy am so happy thumbs up if turtles and so adorable mine is so cute it nibble on my finger and hes pretty fast and well trained for now

  • sorry if you thought I was concerned. cause really im not. I was just stating a fact cause the turtle was listed for sale. I just figured whoever bought it might of killed it by now. Thats what happened when I sold my turtle. no offence to you.

  • @yournamehere954 MY turtle was listed for sale?

  • @guppy23highway Aww, I'm sorry to hear that. =(

  • this turtle is either sold or dead by now

  • @yournamehere954 They're both about 3 1/2 years old now and still very healthy and happy. Thanks for your unneeded concern.

  • One day when i get a bigger tank I wanna get a turtle! ;D

If I did get one would I HAVE To have a place where they can get out the water or can they live in water fully time?

  • @MrRawrllyX you need a place for them to get out of water with a heat light lol =P

  • @funkyskiller Oh ahah :D

  • @MrRawrllyX That's cool! Yeah, they need to come out of the water to bask.

  • @nerice6 Ahh lol thanks

  • Nice job :)

  • i have the same tank

  • What types of turtles are they? And where did you buy them? Turtlesale?

  • where did u get ur turtle

  • i want a turtle! but first i need to sell my piranhas i think, but check my tank on my video and tell me how much gravel i need to buy, if i need a dock,if so where, any fake plants, more stones,or any information plz tell me i rly want a turtle! i have a fluval 206 filter that was expensive so i think i can keep the tank clean, plz tell me what turtle i can have, and look at my tank on my channel so it will be easyer for u to give me info, plz reply quick wanna sell my piranhas.

  • haha aw :/ :P

  • cam you please answer this as fast as possible? the question is when ever my turtles are on my docck and i come in the room they just zoom right off its very annoying.

  • @sgtpanda100 They're afraid of you. It takes them awhile to feel safe staying up in their basking area with people in the room, especially when you first come in, and they are startled.

  • Very nice job you did with that tank! Congrats!! However, I don't like that there is no light at the bottom. Couldn't do anything about that?

  • @8hertzi Thanks. I have a new tank now. The tank in the video was just fine for the turtles because they like dark spots to sleep and they sleep a lot.

  • thats a nice setup

  • can they live with goldfish lol?

  • @emilybaby09xx They could... but then you probably won't see them there the next day. =P

  • @nerice6 lol

  • @emilybaby09xx well the turtles whould live not so sure bout the goldfish though lol. long answer short as feeding fish yes as pets living together no.

  • i have the same ramp thing

  • i got my first turtle 2 days ago in the second day the tak cold down and my turtle keeped going over to the heater and getting stuck but he ha stoppes

  • will you move them into a new tank or will that be their permanent tank?????

  • Hehe, I have a bigger tank now.

  • @nerice6 hehe why is it funny i d get it

  • i had 2 res in a 10 gal for 4 months and they were fine but after that they needed a bigger tank

  • are they comfortable in there, i want to get 2 red ear sliders in a 10 gallon but everyone says its too small of a tank

  • Yes, my turtles were DEFINITELY comfortable in a 10 gallon tank. Don't listen to everyone, hehe. My turtles had a lot of room to move around... and they are very happy and healthy! =)

  • Thank you very much, i am looking forward to getting my turtles very much. Do you fed them feeder fish?

  • You're welcome! I fed them fish once when I had to leave the house for a couple days. I heard it's not good to feed them fish a lot though.

  • @mrJBKfilms 10 gallon tank is fine if they're babies but they grow to be VERY BIG and you WILL need a 55 gallon +

  • @ wefdeas you can make your own go to youtube and fill in turtle topper it is verry handy =)

  • i have a 2.5 inch 3 striped mud turtle and how much cm cubed would it need?

  • i want a turtle dock but i live in Thailand

  • i really like your setup

  • beast job on the set up looks great for the turtles 5/5

  • sweet, i like the bottom pebbles

  • nice tank setup, u should try a 20 or something though, but 5 stars

  • Thanks. Well, NOW I have a 29 gallon tank. Hehe.

  • Nice tank set up. Hey do you know the music? The song title or name of the music artist? I like that type of laid back music. Thanks.

  • Thank you. The music from my videos are always in the tags at the end.

  • Very cute setup. I wish you luck with them - and anyone else keeping RES's. I've rescued two a long time ago and I've hit a bit of a hard time with them. Their HUGE.

What kind of filter is that your using, with the little waterfall thing? Can you remember the exact make? I'd like one of those a lot. I'd really appreciate it if I got a reply. x3

  • Thank ya. Yeah, it's amazing how big the turtles get! And all I remember about the filter is that it came in a package with the tank... the name brand is AquaCulture. I got it at Walmart.

  • Cool, cool, I can possibly find it with just the brand name, I'll do an image search on Google or something. Thankies. : ) They dont sell those here in UK in Asda (Wal-marts branch in UK) so I guess I'll have to order one through local petshops. Sad. I hear tell they be good filters.

Thanks again! ^_^ Good luck with the lil guys!

  • visit a park with a pond you will see turtles dive and comeback up a lot, i live near a park thats filled with wild RES and i own 2 captive RES of my own :)

  • Yeah and ponds and lakes can have currents in some places like if theres a river joining on to it which means the turtles would from time to time have to be very strong swimmers. That is a very nice tank mine will look like that soon whn I get more money I'm kinda broke right now :)

  • all good sept for the fact itsway too deep..turtes rnt fish whie they do swim well its a struggle and they tire quicly..i know its hard since they r so small but they should b ble to touch the bottom and stll stick their head out...just a suggestion

  • Hehe, you obviously don't know my turtles. They swim up and down ALL THE TIME. And you do know that red eared sliders' natural habitats are in lakes and ponds... and those are deep.

  • what is the name of ur filter and how much is it?

  • u dont no what ur talking about. Turtles love to swim. Btw nice tank set up.

  • is it normal for them to climb into the bars holding the dock? mine keeps doing that and he peeps his head into a small gap that is between the glass of the tank and the dock itself... its fked up. I will take him and put him onto the dock but hell just swim back to the same old spot lmfao. does yours do that?

  • Mine would do that sometimes. They'll make anything a toy, lol. Eventually, the suction cups just weren't holding anymore (you can see it in my "feeding my turtles - also getting bitten" video). So I just took the whole bars off and let the dock float freely.

  • lol i was wondering the same thing, my res does the exactly same thing with the bars holding the basking dock

  • You got a nice video there. And a good set-up as well. I also have 2 red eared sliders but i don't know their age. I don't have a basking dock but i did put some rocks. Unfortunately, the rocks gets wet. And i don't have a UV and heat light bec. it is an outdoor set-up. I seldom see my turtles bask. They are always staying in the water. The other one has outgrown its partner.

  • Thanks! So you have an outdoor set-up huh? Cool. I'd like to see a video of it. =) I saw your koi fish video... very cute fishies!

  • So you viewed my videos??? hehehe, ...!!!! Actually my tank gets very little sun light. Every morning, when i don't have a class i put them in a separate container so they can have some natural UV lights. Also, i don't have a filter so i clean my tank every 3 days or as needed. Anyways, i'l try to p0st a video of my turtles maybe this week or next.

  • hi there!!!

i've already uploaded my first turtle video. hope you'll enjoy it. the video is not that clear but i'll try to make a clear one.

  • wow i have the same tank lmao

  • I have a question cus my cousin just gave me 2 turles. Do i feed them everyday or once a week

  • Feed them everyday. Your turtles will hate you if you feed them once a week. =P

  • if they are babys or young then every day if adult then a couple times a week. feeding an adult could be bad for them

  • I don't think feeding an adult is bad for them. =P

  • i had the same set up... u can gt that combo in walmart.. anyways that filter dnt wrk to gud.. its not 4 turtles..

  • You've just got to maintain your filter... clean it every week and it'll be fine.

  • U need a smallet basking dock what id they get stuck under the water because of the space and die?

  • lol... I don't get what you're trying to say...

  • i was saying u need a smaller basking dock so they have more space to wsim and could get trapped under the big one.

  • I've upgraded everything by now. My turtles had plenty of room to swim around... the dock was just at the surface of the water anyways... not like the turtles would only swim on the surface with their heads sticking out of the water constantly, haha. And they never got trapped. They're smarter than that... and quite strong. =P

  • Ok cool ill remember that when i get mine thx! :)

  • i go with that cookie person use sand its better because sand is weasier to digest than huge rocks lol or gravel

  • Sand will clog up the filter... and it'll make cleaning the tank harder.

  • oh okay im sure youll probably switch tanks wen they get older anyway lol

  • Tip: u shouldnt put gravel when they get bigger they can swallow them

  • mine is a hatchling to i have im in a 22 gal long tank

  • hey i have the same sized tank but i feel mine is longer and shorter lets compare check my vids, also how old are ur turtles?

  • They have different measurements of tanks. I have the basic one from Walmart.

My turtles are 2 years old now.

  • yeah i think i got the basic one two just tat they look different,

so their 2 years old, cool how big?

  • They're between 4-5 inches big.

  • damn dude (girl right? l0l sorry) there bigger than my RES's and their 4 yers old, but i got them living in a ten gallon 2

  • It's all good. You can call me dude, lol. Wow, are you sure they're 4 years old? Hehe. Oh well, don't worry cuz I've seen videos of turtles that were supposedly a few months old and they were like 6 inches big...

  • l0l ok. yeah my turtles are 4 this summer i think 2 day or like july or august i forgot wen i got them lol but their around 4 they were just hatchlings. and the month olds that huge are like fed lots of protein i hear and are in like hot weather, i envy them l0l, but then again my turtles are more awsome they never grow !! l0l

  • HAHA, I wish my turtles would stay 1 inch forever. =) But when they reach 10 inches, I'll still love them just as much. =D

  • yeah i know wwat u mean l0l

  • oh yea and nice turtles :P

  • Thank ya.

  • you have really thin fingers lol :)

  • I sure hope I do because it would be wrong if a skinny girl had fat fingers.

  • so my turles should itless get out of the water once in a while and and have a lamp like urs for light?

  • What do you mean by "should itless"?

Yes, turtles should be able to bask and dry off under a light that produces some heat.

  • o nvm about the itless but i didnt kno tat turtle needed to get out of the water once in a while

  • Yeah, reptiles are cold-blooded so they need heat.

  • if i filled upthe tank half way wif a platform how should i feed my turtle since i only have those food sticks to feed them and they dont eat them when they get too soggy

  • You can hand feed them, or just put the pellets in the water.

  • where can i get a lamp tat can provide heat for them

  • Anywhere... pet stores, Walmart, etc.

  • when i bought my red eared slider the pet shop owner had it in a tank with about 3 or 4 inches of water but on youtube all you guys have like 50 gallons on yours what should i do i dont want my turtle to drown =(

  • Is your red-eared slider a hatchling? If so, they need to be in shallow water till they get a little bigger and are able to swim well.

  • i bought my turtle about 4 months ago and its living in shallow water but my turtle is really energetic

  • ラスボスオメガ戦 - メトロイドフュージョン!

  • What size tank is your setup? What size basking ramp is that? Medium? Do you have a UVB lamp?

  • i think thats a large ramp cause i have a medium in my ten gallon and its smaller, and tats a ten gallon if u would read the description

  • 10 gallons

    medium dock

no UVB lamp; I take them outside

  • Do you use an Incandescent or Halogen bulb??

  • I use the 2 incandescent light bulbs that came with the tank.

  • oh okay... makes sense

  • What size tank is that length x height x width? and what gallon tank is it?

    great video - gonna subscribe

  • ok thanks

  • can i just put a regular water heater in the tank from my fish?
