  • Excellent. Constructive at the same.

  • In other countries their elected officials don't take hundreds of thousands of dollars from health inusrance companies or pharma to protect their stranglehold of the public.

Send a red light to every elected official who takes money from one of the health insurance cartels. They can hang the red light outside their office. Let them show how proud they are that they sold us out.

Take away health care from those whom we elected. Let them buy it in the FREE MARKET.

  • This is a Great Video, thanks for the upload man, Respect

  • good vid. tryin to figure out who this guy looks like..like a mix of juaquin phoenix (sp?) and somebody else..hmm

  • wanting new friends

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TALK TO ME u2

  • Everything this poor schmuck has just said is absolutely wrong or distorted, anyone with the bare minimum of logical skills who cares to, please feel free to ask me to explicate &/or send you wonderful reference material.

  • Haha, that is, everything "toeg" has said not "davisfleetwood". I'm just talking to myself probably, but it helps me think, sorry. What this ignoramus would learn if he read "Economics in One Lesson"(he won't, ignoramus)is that the practice of economic thought is the practice of looking at how everyone is affected by a policy or action. Every dollar given to a worker above what the market value of his labor is worth is a dollar taken from someone else who would have been more productive with it.

  • mpotzkill,

    Shall we continue?

Side note: down South is grammatically incorrect. You may want to return to grammar school for further assistance. in the South or down south would be the correct answer.

Again, South, capital S, south of Detroit, doesnt identify a location within the US known as The South. Please refer to history books and Rand McNally if necessary.

Please learn the language in which you type before demonstrating your ignorance.

  • For any non-burnouts interested I wanted to make clear the 1 point this buffoon thinks he has me on. Europe is not monolithic ofcourse. When I said living off of GREAT-grandfathers' production & capital investment, I was thinking more of places like Sweden. But they are all mixed economies now & they are infected with Keynsianism & as Mises said: "Keynes did not teach us how to perform the 'miracle...of turning a stone into bread,' but the not at all miraculous procedure of eating the seed corn"

  • mpotzkill,

Interseting. Just to bring you up to date. Here are your lies in quotes:

"Europe they are living off their great-grandfathers' capital stock" that's just plain ignorance

"Unions cause unemployment, oh slow one, There's also: minimum wage laws, working conditions laws, employment protection laws, peddling laws & child labor laws, comparable worth rules, unemployment insurance..."

You would repeal child labor laws??? Are you serious??? You are one sick person.

  • Fuck Jap and Korean cars!

    Wake UP! Buy American cars!

    White power!!

  • i think someone doesent have a job.. come on davis fleet wood.. educate urself, and try to so something to change this.. dont waste any time on this.. it doesent result in anything. u cant change anything from a stupid, hypo critical video.. and btw, watch ur language.. ur acting like my little sister who's i third grade.. / the norwegian

  • AMEN!

  • god this is stupid

  • What a ham!

  • Interesting. I wrote congress & they replied:

"Congress passed and the President signed into law H.R. 6, the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, on December 19, 2007. Section 136 of this law established the Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing Loan Program, a direct loan program intended to provide up to $25 billion for domestic auto manufacturers to retool existing facilities for the production of the high technology, fuel-efficient vehicles consumers were demanding."

  • Second comment - first "poor" - I meant" Rich"

  • And when poor people moan about paying more tax to subsidize the poor they never seem to ask the question - who are my employees who work so hard for so little enabling me to be so fucking rich!

  • As a Brit I can't understand why a country like the USA doesn't have a health service paid for by the government from federal taxes so that the poor have basic, free cover and the rich have the choice whether to go private or not. That's what we do, it aint a perfect service, but it certainly helps poor people, low income people and anyone subjected to an accident when their credit card has already hit it's limit.

  • We DO have a health service for the poor. It's called 'Medicaid'. Plus, doctors here can't refuse life-saving medical care for your 'maxed out credit card/accident' example.

  • True, but 1 day after you woke up they throw you out...

    Why ?

Because you are costing them money ! and a lot of it because everything that touch healthcare in the US is ridiculously expensive. Sometime private sector is LESS efficient than the public one and healthcare is one of those few.

  • 1. Life Line Legislation can end all this insanity.

    2. the 90-100 year mortgage with 2/3s less interest and payments could have saved the housing market.

The American People are so STUPID!

    To believe these criminal dummies.

  • I'd like to see those learned CEO's express interest in redeveloping electric streetcars. The same ones that were bought up by them after the Second World War, demolishing them, and relegating them to the heap of good ideas and ideals that our now garbage.

  • Before the globalists busted up America's in the 50's and 60's, We were actually a SELF-RELIANT country. Today we don't make our own shoes, hats, purses, tv's, toys, radios, chinaware and increasingly our cars are being built overseas. We either buy chinese or we go NAKED! Is there anything more anti-thetical to LIBERTY than being RELIANT/Dependent? We used to have a televsion industry until the globalists allowed Japan to conquer it by dumping SOny sets below costs in our market.

  • "Single-Payer...EVERYONE covered."

"I don't see any reason why people like you...couldn't hold on to your overpriced, profit-based health care."

You are uninformed, and I feel sorry for you. Do you not see the conflict in your two quotes? With one breath you say 'single payer', then all of a sudden, I can continue on my current health plan. Which is it? Let's also bear in mind that under Dem health plans, you are REQUIRED to be covered (B! B!) and it makes seeing a private physician illegal.

  • The canadian "socialiazed" health care ain't so bad. I had only one important surgery in my life: one mourning, I went to see a doctor and... I got my surgery during the night of the SAME day. When it's important, they treat you. People complain because they wait 12 hours and even 15 hours at urgency for a cold but... it don't kill anybody.

Now, in the US, their's some treatment that could save you but that you won't get... because it cost too much.

Which system is the worst ?

  • The problem in Canada is that a lot of people go to a Hospital when they have a cold/flu instead of a family docotor. Canada is very low on Nurses and Doctors so a family doctor is only available to 1 for every 3 Canadians.

  • The Canadian system rocks! Stop drinking the HMO koolaid! In Canada, every single person is covered. In Canada, the average cost of health care per person is $3950 per year (thats almost $3,000 cheaper than here in the U.S.). Canadians live 1 1/2 years longer than Americans. Do the math people. You're being sold a line of crap by TV and its corporate ownership (who have a "dog in this race", eh?!).

  • true

  • I have noticed the same thing, little johnny gets a sniffle and off to the doc he goes to be told what everyone knows already about the flu,it just has to run it's course. I say a small cover charge per visit would curtail some of the unnessary visits. best regrds.

  • You know what is amazing? Ford is pushing their new F150. Do they even have a clue?

  • First this guy chastises the executives then he turns around in the same breath and asks the American Public to provide health insurance to workers that get a paycheck. In his words I think he is shoving shit up our ass.

Why not just give everybody in America a $30000 check then we can all buy new cars.

    Crazy Man Crazy.

And Freedom is not a Mustang. Freedom is a Myth. Yeah.

  • Do something right? OK. No Bailout! I ain't bailing out failure. No body has ever bailed me out except my father.

Next we should have the government bail people out of jail at taxpayers expense. Haha

  • right on dude, i had never thought about health care in that sense before. We just gotta be careful about it, as a dual Canadian-American citizen, i've seen how shitty socialized healthcare can be. But i think if we can do it right like Davis is talkin about here, we got it made.

  • "TAKE A FUCKING BUS!"

    great vid 5*

  • You NAILED it,Davis!Universal,SINGLE PAYER health care is morally, socially and ECONOMICALLY

the only way to go.Every single person needs to contact their representatives and tell them to support H.R.676.

  • what about all those repulsive banks CEO's that are still going to get about $70 billion in bonuses along with their way over the top salaries, expenses and perks. compliments of our gov. bail out money. I want a video about that now please

  • F#$KING DF in F#$KING HD... that's whats up. Nice work and once again FINALLY some one got it right!

  • Comitatus

  • P.S. Keep up the good work, Davis!

  • I definatley think that we shouldn't bail out GM. We're fucked as it all ready is. Thanks to dickhead Bush proposing a $700 billion dollar bailout and congress approving it. Our debt will go to 11.7 trillion to whatever the hell it will be if they approve that bailout.

  • Gasparro18 - Hey Dude,

Are you coherent? Why are you blaming Bush for the bailout when it is the Democrats that want to jam it down the American Public's throats? WAKE UP! Your fingers are moving faster than your brain.

  • let fucking GM and the rest of them collapse, the toyota plants will see this and buy the plants and build more toyota cars for there would be a lack of vehicles in america (plus they build better more reliable cars than our shitty auto industry)

Bailing out the fuckers that bankrupt their companies with shitty decisions and golden parachutes is not the way to go.

Bailing them out only extends the recession.

  • GM killed the electric car. FUCK GM! LET 'EM BURN!

  • Don't get started on it, it would of solved nothing.

  • I love how liberals are clamoring for a 'national healthcare' plan right at the very moment our nation can least afford it. Auto bailout, sure. Bank bailout, sure. Airline bailout, probably. Couple of trillion dollars down the drain, and all of a sudden - 'why is there no national healthcare plan? *whimper whimper*' Guys, the functions of government per the Constitution are census, mail, military and money minting. Try living on your own for a "change".

  • We currently spend $7,400 per person in this country on medical care (with only 2 out of 3 Americans properly covered). Single-Payer (HR 676) would cost about $4,000/year/person with EVERYONE covered. Only people who can't read or pariahs living off HMO profits have any excuse to be parroting bullshit about the inefficiencies of "socialized medicine". Its not "conservative" to spend more money and have 18,000 people die yearly. It's certainly stupid, mindless and short sighted, though. ;-)

  • And it's not 'liberal' to want to penalize me for wanting to opt out of Big Brother's health plan. What if I LIKE my current plan and want that instead of the Uncle Sam special? What if I don't want to depend on the government for my healthcare? My kids' education? My protection? What else do you all want from the government? Free housing? Free food? Uniforms? You all seem to think that the evil rich in this country can pay for everything, but even their pockets have bottoms.

  • I just want to say that the us are the only ocde country to have no public health care system and that it is in the us that it is the less affordable. Why ? Because health care and phamaceuticals companies don't sell their products to A government but to A LOT of LITTLE and POWERLESS consummers.

Second, how can you treat health care like any other product while you cannot say: hmm it's too expensive, I won't buy this heart transplantation that I need so badly...

  • Health care IS 'any other product'. If you want it in the private sector, well, you may have to pay for it more than you think you should. Get the government involved, and you'll WAIT for it longer than you should. I'll take my chances and set up a payment plan with the hospital.

Surely you all must realize that 90% of the insurance issues in this country could be circumvented if people would simply read their insurance plan? But no, we want the government to figure that out for us too.

  • Then, if you are right, I guess that all other developped countries are just dumb !

Who would like to have an access to any treatment based on urgency instead of insurance company policy ? Who would like the idea that every one get the same service even if they are poor ? Who would like health care cost to pass from 16% (US 2006) to 10%(CAN 2006) of the GDP ?

It can't worth your freedom of choice between few insurance companies that have almost the same exclusions designed to save money !

  • I just explained that true single-payer health system would be about 40-50% cheaper than what we are currently paying. Did you not understand this. Also, rich people don't pay for shit and are usually stuck to the corporate welfare teat so tight the nipple comes off if you try to drag them away! They are the trues socialists in this country, not the working class. I don't see any reason why people like you, who ignore the facts, couldn't hold on to your overpriced, profit-based health care.

  • What if I LIKE my current plan and want that instead of the Uncle Sam special?

sounds like Obama's stance on health care.

  • Obama's stance on health care is to remove free-market competition and inject government incompetence. I want to know what's going to happen to all the CRO's whose job it is to advance medical knowledge - where's the incentive to do that anymore? Does every new advance have to be approved by Congress now? People are going to wake up one day and realize that the only thing the government does well is collect taxes, but by that point, we're all going to be on government toilet paper coupons.

  • bitches!

  • Genius, just genius, Davis! Such a terrific point: give America health care, and that would benefit the auto industry....duh! "Stay in" so I can learn more from you, man! Thank you; 'tis excellent! Yours, e

  • brilliant, as usual.

  • Healthcare needs to get out of the insurance driven model, insurance and the Government regulations is the reason our heathcare is in the ICU. We need to stop paying 1/2 of the hospital bill to Insurance/Government billing clerks and start paying the Care Givers and others who provide the real services.

  • good video.

  • This is a back door piece of propaganda.

No money to the auto industry! No government health care to the auto workers!

    I ain't paying for it.

And I am dropping my subscription to your channel.

From a Vietnam vet, "You are a snake in the grass!"

  • knight, I hate to break this to you but you ALREADY ARE paying for other people's health care.

If you went to the hospital and they gave you an aspirin, how much would they charge you for that single pill? I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it will be more than an ENTIRE BOTTLE of aspirin would have cost.

Why do they charge you so much? Because they need YOU to make up the difference for all the people whose insurance DID NOT PAY!

    So you pay for them.

  • His solutions are socialist but he is dead on about desribing the problems... Calling Low life piece of crap lawmakers "Corporate Whores" is not only funny, but right on...

Your Right, who wants Government anything?

  • Well put, Davisfleetwood. You have exactly stated what is what again.

  • Davis I don't care if your right or wrong...you have a great delivery and should have your own prime time TV show! OK your right too, but that's secondary to your show. If my company doen't do well I don't go to wash and ask for money (at the end of the Bush Admin.) I CHANGE and compete better in a declining market place...fuuny how that works.

  • How is socialism working out in Iceland?

  • Davis, I have to disagree with you respectfully on this one. The auto makers are insolvent so they should be required to file for bankruptcy. Period. I could debate you on socialized medicine too, but others could do it better than I.

  • JiveDadson & DavisFleetwood

You both have valid points! Bankruptcy, such as Chapter 11 would be prudent. But do realize that all three American Auto makers have filed for bankruptcy in there past. The Chrysler bail out in the 80's actually made the government money so it is a coin toss.

On health-care, Davis is correct. Socialism medicine is long over due. For profit hospitals are not a good idea via conflict of interest. In nursing 10 plus years here.

  • The Chrysler bailout may have made a little money for the government, but not nearly enough to make up for the damage it did to the economy. When the government takes money from productive people and companies and gives it to mismanaged companies, the effect is inevitably destructive. There is also the problem of moral hazard. Every bailout is supposedly "the last time." The managers know better. They swing for the fences, going for the big bonuses, knowing the ump will never call them out.

  • Nancy Pelosi has said that "bankruptcy is not an option." It shouldn't be. It should be mandatory. But congress will pass yet another bailout and Obama will sign it. Why? Because the unions vote Democratic. Retirees' life savings and the future earnings of generations yet to be born are for sale to the highest bidder. The banks and the unions bid big. Corruption, corruption, corruption.

  • Because "unions vote dem"? Please tell me you are not serious. How can you possibly blame unions for the plight of the big 3 auto-makers? The unions don't decide what to produce. It's the executives that have been running the American auto-industry into the ground, not unions.

For their part, the unions are coming to the table to GIVE BACK some benefits to ease the financial woes of the companies. But the executives are the ones who've done the damage, and are the ones asking for the bailout

  • I wasn't blaming the unions for the plight. All they've done is sap the company for everything they could. That's the job of a union. What I am saying is that the Democrats will pass a bailout because unions vote Democratic and donate Democratic. I don't blame the pigs. I blame the career politicians who pour the slop from the public buckets.

  • I love my 2002 Camaro Z28. But GM needs to file for chapter 11 bankruptcy. Bankruptcy does not mean that crews show up the next day with wrecking balls to destroy the factories. Men in white coats do not lobotomize all the trained workers. No one takes black markers to all occurrences of the words "Chevy" and "Cadillac." What happens is that the assets are sold to new owners and the company is entrusted to more competent managers. That's the way it works in free markets. Remember those?

  • Now they(Big 3)want $34 Billion Bail Out. Those %$#@!#!! in Congress will pass it and screw us again!

    Great video!

  • Hey Davis isn't GM one of the largest health care companies in the world in addition to being a car giant? Didn't they have to create a company to handle all their employees health care plans?

  • Why aren't we questioning how the Gov has handed over trillions of taxpayer dollars- w/ few questions & fewer stipulations- to the War Lords of Wall St. & the big bellied bankers; but, now, have serious reservations about bailing out one of the last industries in our country that actually makes anything & provides jobs to the very taxpayers who will be taxed for the trillions of dollars they've already given away to those who've crashed our economy w/ immoral speculation & outright lies?

  • I love you Davis Fleetwood.

  • Or how about we just get rid of the income tax, maybe even get rid of market regulation. Then, operate in a TRULY free market, as it seems you want to do

  • When did he suggest that?

  • I guess he doesn't lol. I just assume people want what works. Propping up a corporation with health care instead of bailouts is just silly. In a free market they would have to innovate to compete, they would crash just as soon if we cover them for health care. What say we stop forcing them to pay 500 billion dollars collectively in taxes and regulations to fund government programs for things we should be providing for ourselves.

  • The big 3 automakers should allow themselves to go bankrupt so they can renegotiate their contracts with the auto unions. Toyota is paying their workers $32 an hour in U.S. factories while the big 3 are paying $75 for cars most people don't want to buy. The bulk of that 25 billion dollars is just going to go for auto unions pensions and health care while the underlying problem will remain for the big 3. Unions use to defend workers from company abuses but now they're the one doing the abuse.

  • I agree with you up until' you throw in the Healthcare part. I understand if you threw it in to say " Don't give billionaires more Billions but give Billions to healthcare for the people. " but then you go into " Freedom "

Freedom is the Freedom to choose, Freedom to live, Freedom to pay or not to pay and so forth. Not to just say it because it sounds nice...

  • This is a fabulous observation, that had passed right by me: "Who cares about the citizen, who cares about the consumer, but when it strangles american companies, that's when finally we see this window of opportunity to do something that's right."

  • Germany has a better health care system than Japan. Japan severely underpays doctors. Germany is a good mix between free market and coverage for all. See Frontline's Sick Around the World for info.

  • the FEDERAL GOVT used to get 99% of its revenue from tarriffs on IMPORTS. we taxed IMPORTS at 40% and taxed workers' income, savings, corporate profits and consumption a 0%. As a result the U.S. ran TRADE SURPLUSES every year from 1893-1967 and had a healthy savings rate and smaller govt.Today we tax INCOME, SAVINGS, and consumption at 40%, and IMPORTS at 0%! The result? A trade deficit of $765 billion, were swapmed with foreign goods, and we have a national savings rate in the negative.

  • Yeah and in a national health care system who is going to pay for it? The broke ass government that is 10 TRILLION in debt?? Yeah right.

  • Paulson bailed out his Jewish buddies on Wall Street so why not give them some money.

  • Completely agree, however if the market doesnt continue to crash they can't introduce the Amero, that has be there plan all along. So most likely they will get there bailout including some form of socialization of the automotive industry.

  • As a national policy we should declare that all cars sold here in the United States should be made here in the U.S.Period. NO imports. This is called PROTECTIONISM. Protecting AMerican manufacturers from an army of cheap imports made under conditions that are illegal in the U.S. "To hell with the protectionists!" This is the globalist dogma in a nutshell. "we will soon import products from Jupiter"! TO hell with American jobs give us Free trade! BUt protectionism shows a lack of manliness lol

  • tell me, then if we return to protectionism, why should Ford bother to invest in fuel efficient technology? Why invest in cars that last for a long period of time? Wouldn't it be in Ford's interest to sell you cars that don't last and that constantly need to be replace?

Ford is where it is now because they relied on their name power for too long, which other companies scratched and clawed their way, until they made a better car then the US auto makers.

  • Your talking about technology. Im talking about TRADE Policies. I don't care If Ford builds cars that can run on water, they still need to BE PROTECTED from imports. The AMerican market should be guaranteed for AMERICA's manufactureres not Japans or koreas. Japan and Korea understands this. GO to these countries and you will see very few American cars. Why? Because the Korean govt slpas a 25% TARRIFF on all car imports, which PROTECTS companies such as KIA. THey want KIA to stay in business

  • Yo Davis, what happened to the basement?

  • It is the un-american, alien ideology of "free trade" that is destroying Detroit. Japan now owns 37% of the U.S. auto market. Why? Because theres a host of reasons none of which have to do with incompetence in detroit. GM was the number 1 corporation in the world for decades. They know how to make cars. The problem is the lack of TARRIFF WALLS that have been knocked down and have caused american jobs to be sacrficed at the altar of globalization

  • ANd "competing on a global scale" is the problem. The globalists are the problem. Due to press and political propaganda, the average american, including Davis fleetwood, simply think Detroits wounds are self-inflicted. They are not SElf-inflicted. Detroit has been backstabbed by its OWn government who has sacrificed the American aouto market to the god of globalism. You want to know the Solution? guarantee the U.S. market for U.S. auto makers!

  • I got even a better idea then a bus fleetwood for these corporate pigs! ride a FUCKING BIKE!! Private jets!? Give me a break...try using a method of transportation that costs less money and less money for the consumer. Greedy pigs been squeezing everyone with gas guzzlers and high oil prices...and then suddenly oil drops and car companies are on the verge of bankruptcy ....well amen to that looks good on all you shameless bastards and may you all burn in hell have a nice day!!:)

  • Davis, I usually pick at every little thing in your videos. I usually find something to disagree with. But this video I 100% agree with.

  • guys.. don't fall for the stupid jet crap. that was a set up. the globalist bankers want to destroy our manufacturing base. this is a national security risk. that said.. i am no fan of the auto industry execs. but come on.. we give the criminal bankers 7 trillion and they caused the econ meltdown. but the media demonizes the auto makers .... they could have a field day with greenspan... he is the architect of the bubbles. he gets a free pass because he is special.

  • i think the jet thing was more to point out that they aren't making sacrifices to save the company.

the point is that your auto industry isnt WORTH bailing out if it cant become competative again. america would be better off forgetting shit that doesnt work anymore and coming up with a new plan. use bailout money to start new industries.

  • no offense brettah but DUH!!! i know why they focused on the jet. the media is demonizing the auto's so there will not be a bridge loan. they want china to buy them. the oligarchs have been working to destroy our manufacturing base for decades. this will be their crowning moment. i just pray a few of you are smart enough to grasp this dynamic. please go watch RepMcCotter's channel for the truth.

  • lol dont say duuhh to me when your original comment was worded in such a way that made it seem like you favored bailout packages for everyone.

and why are these oligarchs trying to destroy the manufacturing base? thats where they get their money?

  • They care only about THIS QUARTERS Profits. They can move their investment money in a few hours. Their is no loyalty to any company or even nation

  • seems like you are the only one that didn't get it.

  • sneer away, i missed ur point. sorry.

  • dennymclain, i also can't believe everyone has picked up on the jets but ignore the 140bn bush\paulson no strings attached corporate giveaway. what about the 700 + bn on top of the 700bn initial bailout. what happened to the first 700bn? 25bn is nothing when compared to the sums used to give failing CEOs a 6 figure golden parachute and write off their debts.

  • i am no fan of the auto exec's.. fire all of them and that is fine with me. and it is $7 TRILLION NOW... according to bloomberg. the bankers that caused this crisis are getting 7 trillion with no oversight and complete amnesty!

  • Denny,

I'm with ya all the way. 7 TRILLION DOLLARS, and barely a peep from the MSM. But 25 billion steals all the headlines. Those who orchestrated this mess are being given money out of thin air that we will have to pay for for decades, yet everyone is concerned about a few jets. I'd love to see the list of those execs who went to Washington on commercial flights. That's gotta be the smallest list known. Let auto die, give us back the 7 trillion.

  • Thank fuck I live in Japan and not the fucked up US of A.

And I haven't even driven a car since I arrived here. Everyone has a bicycle, even grandmothers. And yes, everyone, EVERYONE has health care.

WHy the fuck did a smart guy like Obama want to take responsibility for that fuckn mess?

  • Non,

I find that people who have never lived overseas, haven't a clue how the world is run. The US is 37th in health care, and Americans STILL think it's the best. They cry over GM. Why??? Because the MSM tells them to. The MSM dictates what they listen to, watch, and believe. Read the responses above. 7 trillion, and they say, "Oh well, too late." Then a measely 25 billion and they are crying about jets and stuff. Gimme the 7 trillion, and I'll let them play their crying game for 25 bill.

  • GM has already promised money they recieve from the Gov "bailout" to a manufacturer in Brazil...WTF?...How is that going to help the American economy, or American citizens?

    Link to article- laht()com/article()asp?ArticleId=320909&CategoryId=12396

  • 700,

Thanks. BRIC is actually a good investment. And I thought China was going to buy out the three. I didn't know a deal had already been signed with. Congress. I'm glad to see posters from the rest of the world weigh in. Japan has health care, much better than ours for a lot less money. This is a set up. Denny's entirely right. You guys are bawling over pennies, but you're letting the thief get away with the loot. Jets?? Who cares?? 7 trillion!!!! Follow the money, not the smoke screen.

  • 700,

Be careful. Ford asked for the possibility to borrow up to $9 billion if it finds that it needs it. This is a loan, not a bailout. Ford is saying that they feel fairly confident that they can survive another year without the need of a bailout.

  • Finally a Fleetwood message I can get behind. I won't be holding my breath, but it was great to hear a sound solution for a change instead of whining that was going nowhere.

  • Who is jerking Off Who! Congress can't represent the masses because they don't represent us. Bail Out detroit by Life Line Legislation. 1 % per annum by each detroit Wheels Worker, paying their own way. Why bail them out when the detroitee can work their way back to green backs after China Takes over the Auto Industry. The American Auto Makers are too greedy to do Patriot Duty. The chinese not laid our railroad, now they will re run our auto industry as well. Send Me a China Doll Jimmy Hoffa.

  • fuck american carts.

buy european made or japanesse or korean or dont buy.

send a statement to the staremen

  • I really see unions as being the source of this issue. overexpensive labor is a serious problem if we intend to exceed in a global market.

  • statictwo,

I have a question to ask you. If you are right, and all of this is only due to the unions, then why is the US the only country with this problem?? The unions in Europe would make their American counterparts blush with envy. Worker's rights around the world are enormously better than those in the US (not all, of course, but a great many) yet there is no solely-union-based destruction of their economies and industries. How come they have good unions and we only have bad ones??

  • @ toeg: Yeah, they make those kids in the streets of Paris blush with envy too.

  • mpolzkill,

Your statement makes about as much sense as tits on a warthog.

  • Unions cause unemployment, oh slow one.

  • Wow,

What a paradigm shift. You know, up to now it's been bad management and bad marketing that's caused unemployment. Thank you for sharing your incredible insight.

One question, though, Can you please name the union that toppled Lehman Bros?? Oh, and while you're at this great discovery of yours, please tell me the name of the union that destroyed Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and AIG. You need to get the word out to everyone. "Management has NOTHING to do with unemployment, only unions do."

  • You shouldn't assume I'm as simple-minded as yourself. That was the ultra-short explanation, I should say labor unions are one of many things that cause umemployment. There's also: minimum wage laws, working conditions laws, employment protection laws, peddling laws & child labor laws, comparable worth rules, unemployment insurance, regulations, licensing & - a biggie - government money creation causing misallocation of labor. I never said anything about management. In America, the government..

  • ..basically teamed with big business some time ago forming a quasi- or neo-fascist system. Cartelization was the goal & they allowed unions to try to cartelize labor as well. No the Government & "management" stink as much as the unions. Back to the destructiveness of unions though, answer this question: the not as politically connected car makers down South who pay their workers around half as much, why are they kicking the crap out of your beloved big-three?

  • I see you screaming all over here about the bank cartel scam. Yes, that was the biggest heist in the history of the world. It dwarfs the heist the big three are trying to pull off. Happy? But somebody already nailed you before, to paraphrase: your car was stolen, so you let someone else steal your wallet? Cracked me up. I didn't see any response you may have had to that one.

  • mpolzkill,

I'm glad to see that you are able to switch reasoning in mid-stream. Say one thing, then switch when exposed, well done. Since I don't know from whence you hail, I cannot answer about the "down South" you're talking about. If you would be so kind, however, to explain one of my previous statements, I'd appreciate it. In Europe they have unions galore, yet they aren't bailing out their autos. If the unions are this destructive here, why aren't they just as destructive there?

  • Whew, we'll have to go REALLY slowly for you, South, capital S, south of Detroit, like, you know, Tennessee. I switched nothing, I knew being a union-guy that you were an economic illiterate but I didn't know I'd have to give you remedial English lessons as well. Here goes: Dogs produce feces. That's a factual statement that does not preclude the fact that cats produce feces. I will admit though that I deliberately truncated my statement to see if you would straw man me with your lame argument.

  • mpotzkill,

You really need to get out and see the world more. The whole world doesn't revolve around Detroit, no matter what you say. I'm not a unionist, but thanks anyway. As far as living off of some older generation, you have no clue obviously. You see, last century there were two world wars. Both in Europe. There was nothing left to "live off of." Your ignorance of geography, Europe and the economy doesn't surprise me though. Most ignorant people do the same thing all the time.

  • You're slow in every way, I can't wait an hour between every post, I've got to go to bed. In conclusion, leaving aside your sorry anecdotal evidence, if you actually wanted to know why unions are destructive it is because among other things, they tend to maintain wage levels above productivity levels. See: Detroit. And yes managment's bad too - let Toyota or someone else buy the plants, the capital structure & start over, MINUS the preposterous 72$ an hour. They'll do as well as down S-outh.

  • You don't know where I've been, aren't you a little old to assume so much? You're on here defending unions until you're blue in the face, you're either a unionist or impersonating one. We're talking about the American car industry, Detroit is the center of that, does everything have to be spelled out for you? I said the South, capital S, & I'm ignorant of geography? I guess I WAS ignorant of the fact that ALL of Europe was destroyed in WWII? Ignorance? You're blowing me away here.

  • Please tell me about the details of when all capital structure & all farmland was destroyed in Sweden, Holland, Denmark, England, France & the rest of Europe. Was it nukes or what? Were there any survivors? You know absolutely nothing about economics & you want me to describe it all to you in these tiny boxes! That's a joke. Do you want some references? I can find you some real beginner stuff.

  • mpotzkill,

Sorry to make this so difficult for you. I've tried to simplify it all for you. Your listing if countries in Europe demonstrate that you haven't a clue what happened. I didn't know they had "capital structures" in Europe. But they do indeed have many advantages over workers in the US. I know you don't know them, so I'll go real slow for you. They have a 13th month in Europe. This is an advantage unknown to Americans, yet American companies overseas often go for more.

  • Uh huh. Capital structure, ignoramus, no "s". Tell me if you will, I won't assume (that's your gig) but I'm guessing you hit the drugs pretty hard back in the '70s, didn't you? Reading your ramblings & total incomprehension of simple statements in that other long argument you had here, I should have known better than to give this a go. Because I didn't list Germany, which was devestated (though not nearly to the extent that Hitler wished in the end), that tells you I don't know what happened..

  • (cont) ..in WWII? You said all of Europe was destroyed, I listed European countries [It's dawning on me, I'm just talking to a moron] You have profound problems with logic. I retire, your head is way too thick for me. If you wish to talk about economics & not sound like such an imbecile though, (I don't know what can bring those brain cells back however) I recommend you google: "Henry Hazlitt" + "Economics In One Lesson". Goodbye, you sad, confused man.

  • It's called a 13th month. There are other perks as well, but that's one of the biggies. If you wish to quote me, please do so correctly. Don't paraphrase, then make monumental leaps into imbecileland.

European workers have many perks not widely known here in the US. The fact that you've never heard of them doesn't surprise me at all.

    You wrote this:

"when all capital structure & all farmland was destroyed.." I was trying to leave a way out for you before I noted how stupid that sounds. Oh well

  • O.K., one last time; are you on drugs NOW? I was never talking about your 13th month bs, I quoted nothing regarding that. Where do you get that I don't know they have perks? YOU said "capital structureS" in your abyss-like ignorance apparently thinking I meant buildings. It was SO stupid I didn't know what you meant, hahahaha, you're killing me! You don't know what capital structure means! Give up, it's pathetic! You're humiliating yourself you all-assuming clown! Goodbye, for real this time, haha

  • mpotzkill,

I thought you went to bed. Another falsity. Your masterful connection of capital structures and farmland will probably never be topped. The fact that Europe only reminds you of Sweden is just more proof of your ignorance. There are many perks in European workers' rights that don't exist here. I'll wait until you have figured out the first one before I move on. I can see you are easily overwhelmed with new information.

    Goodnight, again???

  • Europe is not nirvana by any means, they are living off their great-grandfathers' capital stock & it will all completely unravel someday if they don't forsake their socialist ways. They have mixed economies as well though & superior producers (non-union workers) carry your comrades on their backs. Also, if they let the Japanese in with lower paid workers, the Japanese would kick the crap out of them too. So now answer my question, wait, I already know: "management".

  • Exposed, you're really a crack-up. I've also noticed this, do you really not understand half of what everyone says to you or are you pretending to be a block-head for some insane reason? I guess the former, seeing as how you think your patheric strawman based entirely on assumption "exposed" me.

  • Did you have to go to bed or is that really your only card?

  • MaMa asked ,Can the kids of the future afford this? Will THEY be paying for all of this? No Health Care, No Jobs, No Credit under 33% interest,No Housing? WHY IS THIS HAPPENING. Thank you, just wondering, New Born Baby Aden

  • Word!!! Thank you Davis!

  • Thank you Davis. Thank you.

  • Ford should buy Aptera, and then get subsidies to make the Aptera have a lower base price.

If you dont know what that is, its an American car company that makes only 2 vehicles: there hybrid gets like an average of 330 MPG from normal gasoline. Imagine that converted to natural gas. The result would be miraculous, i.e., the cause of a miracle.

  • Health Care?

The way things are going, taking care of one's health is going to about foraging for food. The USA imports almost half of its food.

What's showing up in the news about this?

    "US farmers lose credit lines"

"The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City said this month that agricultural lenders are reporting tighter credit standards and said it expected further reductions in the availability of funding."

  • The American government shouldn't loan money to GM... it should buy it and finally get some green American cars in production.

  • Excellent.

  • Rock on Davis. Im with you 100%.

  • when are you going to get rid of the naked person over there ----->

  • Fuck yeah competition is good. Privatize police forces too!

  • Sustained Growth will not happen if oil is the driving force and to assume that oil will go on forever now that it has passed its peek is just insane. So a 25 Billion Bailout for the Auto Industry is just putting off the inevitable. Let the auto industry die and re-invent itself. 25 Billion should be spent on the American people, and I agree, it should be spent on Health Care. Change the laws or remove the bureaucratic monster by force.

  • Well Mr Fleetwood, you're in fine metal, and I'll have it no other way: am almost tempted to look pass my increasing disappointment in what I can now call your 'bridge too far' promise. I had thought that you had left the dungeon, and walked into a new light, full of hope for change. But ah, thankfully no! I have never heard power whores so aptly described. This commentary went some way in assuaging my disappointment in you not walking that bridge, but like you, am full of hope for the future!

  • no one does expects the government to do the right thing

and yet everyone complies with government

everyone is still a nazi consumer

stop buying all the shit you buy that makes these rich fuckers rich and stop wagging your finger

take your power back and use your freedom instead of being apathetic

every time you buy something from a corporation you could make yourself or pay an individual to make for you you're a complicit nazi shopper

  • hahaha. i love you man. no homo but i love ya

  • Davis, I sent an email to operation itch a couple of times...

I like Rep Akermans comparison to the soup kitchen for those greedy men

  • Bravo.

  • Good stuff as usu. Where ya been? Happy Holidays.

  • Hah. What a bunch of dumb fucks.

  • Great..Just great video..Keep 'em coming

  • This is HYSTERICALLY funny!

YES! Demonise the auto industry executives for THEIR ....GREED!!!!

    25 BILLION??? BILLION????

Hey, the Rothschilds & their NWO buddies just stole over 8 TRILLION from you in a month. Its gone. Bye-bye!

The bankers are using the cash to buy up HEALTHY industry in a "value grab".

The fascist "congress" WANTS to DESTROY our manufacturing base. Why? WW 3 is planned for America!

Our manufacturers are "evil" because they want MONEY!

    Lets SHUT 'M DOWN!!

  • HOW DARE THEY! Are they really that stupid? Go to Washington hat in hand looking for money to maintain the status quo and they do it in private jets. They deserve what they get. Let them go bankrupt and reorganize leaner and meaner. PLEASE!

  • Here's what I think they should do. Offer them the bailout, but on the stipulation that the members of the board are reduced to minimum wage, or at least a heavily reduced salary, to which can only be increased when they begin paying the loan back. The more they pay back, the more they can pay themselves. Stopping payment will decrease their allowed salary as well, and they cannot fire workers or decrease benefits, they actually have to start selling cars well.

  • Great video. Keep them coming.

  • I love my SUV and pay my insurance payments So fuck your logic. My family is not hurting. Maybe yours is because the best you can do is hope to get monetized on YT! Get a real job Fuckhead!

  • Actually it's 18,000 Americans that die each year for lack of health insurance. However, as far as I'm concerned 18 Americans dying each year for lack of health insurance should be considered a national disgrace.

Universal health care for all! Support HR676 write your congressmen today. Write Obama

    Google: HR676

  • Uhhhhh.

For once, the mainstream media beat you to the punch on the whole "flying to Congress in a private jet" thing.

Then you fell back, predictably, on universal healthcare. And used Japan as an example.

What surprised me is that you failed to point out the REASON why Japan can do this without destroying the citizens with the taxes that entails, that reason namely being that they don't have a gigantic freaking military like ours, which is why they have the money left over that they do.

  • Damn I love your video's.
