  • Radiohead ~ They just keep doing it and doing it. Every album has it's very own special colours, having different effects on my varied shades called emotion. They make me feel comfortable in my own skin, which is all I've been seeking for the past 20 years............

  • I'm just a weird fish lost at the bottom of the sea. living in a chemical reaction fantasy

  • I feel so lucky to be able to understand how amazing this song is. Don't know how or why, but it speaks to my soul!....it brings me back to my childhood, even though I was a child before this song was a song. Thats what's up!

  • @adeg530 its the artist in you taking over.

  • This CD REALLY helped me through a dark, and troubled time in my life. All is better with me, but I fall back on this CD. This group really pushes the boundries, and they are always challenging themselves. Love Radiohead.

  • @Thefaze100963 I totally relate to what u said...to me it was Ok Computer, helped me through tough, dark times..Radiohead,s muisc is like soul therapy, so much depth that nothing else could reach/cure, it,s my drug of choice!

  • inception?!

  • @EasyMLMSuccess You might even say they were 'weird fishes' ;D

  • This song is amazing to listen to late at night when you can't sleep. Takes you to another world. :D

  • estas canciones estan hechas para escuchar cuando uno esta bajo el efecto de la droga

  • this music. whoa.

  • Whats really ironic about this moment, is that theres a dating advertisement next to this video. The fish used in this video actually absorbs the males of it's species into it's body. The male reproductive organs are absorbed into the fish itself and then it produces fertalised eggs. It's just funny. Thought I'd go all out and explain that one.

  • Dude inception sucked dick

  • If you havnt heard any of radioheads music while on hallucinogens. Then you haven't heard the message hidden within the music. Of course, its our own subconscious that creates that message, but its still the same message. Go home dreamers. Its time to wake up.

  • we need to go deeper

  • thats the fish from Finding Nemo.

  • Best fanmade music video I've ever seen. Fits with the song perfectly and whenever I listen to this song I always see this video in the back of my mind.

  • @TheSorrow1O1 Oh this isn't the official video?

  • @TheSorrow1O1 Sometimes that doesn't work out - whenever I hear the words "you're not alone" I think of a remix of a glenn beck show - what a nightmare

  • i just dont understand how radiohead could be this amazing. they're just .. there's no word to explain it

  • que buena banda!!!! que buen video.....impecable

  • I love this song so much. its a work of art.

  • I would cry after creating something as beautiful as this song

  • Out of competition, one of the greatest bands ever. Love them !

  • I can't look up one song on youtube without finding an argument on the first page of comments. =/ Let's get in tune with the music, not the useless prattle =]

  • damn, i got a message but i cant read it!

  • if i ever get on a spaceship i take kid a with me.

when i'm somewhere in space the ship will play this song.

    then i'm happy

  • The production on this track is insane. The way it maintains a flowing groove whilst moving through a 5/4 - 3/4 pattern but then also creates this layered soundscape which just sinks further and further into a musical fantasy which eventually engulfs you completely. And then you're just left with this distorted pulse, almost like the source of it all.

This song is such an incredible journey, you find yourself in limbo between Optimistic and Idioteque in a strangely beautiful world.

  • @rossvideosprint Hmm...5/4 - 3/4 pattern...not what I hear. More like the verse is 6/4 and the chorus is 4/4.

  • @rieekan243 The intro and chorus is in 6 (if you take the chorus to be in line with the lyrics 'You're living in a fantasy world' and the main riff on the rhodes). The verse could be thought of as 4/4 but really it's a bar of 5 followed by a bar of 3 throughout. They both add up to 8, but in terms of the emphasis and the phrasing, that's what it is, for me anyway!

  • @rossvideosprint I read somewhere (so not sure about how valid or true this is) that there are two different time signatures in the verses: the 6/4 is the underlying time signature, with an 18/8 riff played by the guitar. As for the chorus, I know you mentioned phrasing, but the 5/4, 3/4 option seems far less sensible. You may perceive it that way, but surely it's just straightforward 4/4?

  • @thedeadlyhamster Read what I said again. I said the chorus is in 6, the verse feels like a bar of 5 followed by a bar of 3. That's just how it feels as a whole. BUT, given that the drums stay the same between parts, it could be that the guitar is in 16/8 (not 18), whilst the rest is in 6. Anyway, enough of time signatures, it really is neither here nor there. It's just a way of rationalizing the sound. If anything, that takes away from the enjoyment of listening to it altogether!

  • @rossvideosprint I think we're getting mixed up between chorus and verse. Sorry, I wasn't having a go at you, I just wanted to check what you meant. Personally, I like the complexity of this song - the triplet "18/8" effect really adds to it.

  • @thedeadlyhamster I know you weren't having a go. I just wanted to clarify, sorry if it was bluntly put! I would say the chorus is under the refrain of "You're living in a fantasy world", and this is in 6/4. If you count the verse guitar part in quavers that's 16/8, (or a cyclic bar of 5/4 followed by a bar of 3/4 if you're counting in crotchets). That can't really be reduced to 4/4 because of the emphasis, so 16/8 probably works best! I'm not sure where the 18/8, I can't hear that anywhere.

  • @rossvideosprint "Lundi, Fastnet, Irish Sea"/"You're living in a fantasy world..." etc... would be where the 18/8 is. It may not even be true, but I thought I read somewhere that, although that section has an underlying 6/4 rhythm, the guitars have an 18/8 time signature due to the tripletty effect.

  • @thedeadlyhamster Ok I think I get you. The guitars are in 6 but that Rhodes sound over the top (which sounds a bit like an affected guitar) has got some triplet patterns in it. Not sure about 18/8 but I know the bit you're talking about at least! That's one of my favourite parts, it adds so much groove to everything over the top of those complex picked guitars, samples, and perpetual drums.

  • @thedeadlyhamster lads, I don't think even Radiohead themselves get that indepth with music

  • Such a gloriously amazing song.

  • FUCKING GODLY!!!!!!!!!

  • This messes with your head. In a good way.

  • i'm triping

  • q cancion tan buena

  • You know what, I wouldn't be surprised if this were an inspiration for Inception. "In Limbo", "You're Living In A Fantasy", "I'm On Your Side", "I'm Lost At Sea". All these things kinda remind me of Inception, not to mention that Thom Yorke's "Analyse" was in the credits for The Prestige, another Christopher Nolan movie.

  • @Spinoraptorrex it is. Christopher Nolan is a known rh fan

  • This song is disturbing, and I don't mean it in a bad way. I just like to lay down and listen to it and at the end I just feel like I'm being transported into another dimension.

  • @anpaol2 maybe thats just the lcd

  • @dsmc13 LCD? Lawl

  • @megcav6 lsd my bad man

  • wwoooooooott!!

  • Radiohead makes "amazing" look like "bad". theyre superiour beings. this is Music in all is essence

  • RADIOHEAD

  • Cool beans indeed

  • what a fake video

  • @taleof2cities who cares about the video? it's the music thats important

  • @taleof2cities what an idiot

  • How many bands in history have had a NO.1 album with music as daring and experimental as this on it? Not many.... Radiohead are brave and always pushing themselves regardless of what people want or say. Awesome!!!

  • @nelsano3 pink floyd is the only one who comes to mind. its funny how we forget this is experimental. they completely changed the way rock radio and singles sounded...

  • @nelsano3 how any bands get number one albums with harldy any promotion or videos.

  • @nelsano3 Few bands out of all of them per age or genre, yes. Beach Boys, Beetles, others.

  • @Qwinkly3 *Beatles!

  • MY theory is, Nolan used radiohead's idea for his movie.. this song was released in 2000... chris nolan started working on INCEPTION 10 years back... ALSO it says on his IMDb page that he's a huge fan of the band.. [:D]

the lyrics of the song say it all.. you can easily imagine dicaprio's character saying a couple of the paras..

  • Am I the only one that had this pop into my head when I saw Inception?

  • @urmerm this totally popped into my head, when leo was walking past all the memories him and his wife (forgot the name already) built with their houses this song appeared so vividly.

  • I prefer radio head + muse

  • Fits perfectly with Inception.

  • @alternative10000 no it doesnt. inception was stupid. if you weren't stupid you'd realize that.

  • @FlashingFountain

That's not very nice of you.

    cunt

  • @alternative10000 You read my mind :)

  • @alternative10000 fuck that, don't associate the overrated bullshit that is inception with a radiohead album made many years prior.

  • @ItsNotJackieChan idk im almost positive the end of inception was inspired by the endings of amnesiac and kid a, how can you not see the resemblance in this, morning bell, like spinning plates and the transition to life in a glasshouse, the yellowish orange glow in that was pretty damn close to how i pictured it in my mind

  • @ItsNotJackieChan

Overrated bullshit, haha, how ironic, specially on a radiohead video

  • @alternative10000 no it actually doesn't

  • shiiiiiiit second time i hear it....now i understand it that's why it's called in limbo

  • I think that after A rush of blood to the head Coldplay kind of sold out and began using old ideas too frequently. But before that time they were good.

  • this shoulve been in Inception!

  • Deep sea fish+In Limbo=perfect combination! great idea!

  • quit arguing about other bands and discuss THIS song

  • whoever thumbs downed this song needs to be beheaded. u dont need ears if u dislike this song. ^ +100

  • I got nice tits. I'm a guy.

  • @teluia You have nice tits.Your a guy?

  • Este tema me vuela la cabeza.

  • at the end it sounds like you defeat Koopa in "SUPER MARIO WORLD" for the super nintendo 2:59 -3:16. JUST LISTEN. REMEMBER? HE WAS INSIDE A CLOWN BALLOON ATTEMPTING TO SMASH MARIO.

  • Your living in a fannntttaaasssssssyyyyyyyyyy

  • amazing. i think this, and the pyramid song are their best

  • probably one of there best song.

  • The fish at the start of this video reminds me of one of the fish that Sponge Bob Squarepants met when he got stuck in Rock Bottom.
