@dxproductions100 Lol...Just Use AVG with some malwarebytes and MSE and your set. Also it helps if you have a brain in your head so you don't download everything you see. Plus theres more and more Infections for macs these days. I bet theres a way to do some flashing or something... Also if you don't mind what bit is your win7, 64 or 32?
@dxproductions100 Well then, Continue on! I I agree with the fact that macs are useless execpt for people who want a overpriced computer with an apple on the side and those who think that video editing' pinnacle is a mac.
@dxproductions100 and what could you possibly use that for? Gaming is optimized for dual or quad core, that ram is small for 12 cores to share, and what are you editing thats that heavy. I mean Jon's computer is a quad and has 6 gig of ram and he does amazing things with it!
@TFichVe Yeah one of my Christmas was a new laptop that came with windows 7 and I can honestly say one of the best laptops I ever owned and windows 7 is great! I used XP for so long because vista was utter crap.
Yep. Vista was like a little test run.. sorta.... it tried a whole range of new things and it was overall shit. but in 7 they fixed it all and made GUI very clean and fast. high compatibility to!
@JPizzle1122 Windows 7 is great! The only issue I've seen is only one of the games I tried to play wasn't compatible with Windows 7, but other then that I love Windows 7 way more then Vista, and I say give it a few months and everything that worked on XP and vista will work for 7.
@AnbuIce i find it lags on tf2 sometimes...i have a laptop on vista that dosent(heck it does lag on roblox) but anyway im not sayin windows 7 is bad so dont flame me
Few things I forgot to mention. One of my GTX 260's dwarf the Radeon 4870. I have a NZXT Tempest case and the card reaches from the back panel to almost touching the HD's. Also the Sound card they supply with the Asus Rampage II Extreme is shit, other than that its a godly board.
Nice computer. I just subscribed. I cant believe I never ran across you guys on youtube in all the years I've surfed here. Anyway I built my computer recently, took me over 5 hours and $2200 to build. I went with new rather than trusted Dual GTX 260's, Asus Ram II Ex, 12GB OCZ Platinum, i7 920. Took me about 3 months to work out all the little hardware issues and a few heating issues with the Overclocked GPU's. I'm working on Vista 64bit, But I gotta say with a few minor annoyances, its not bad.
the cable is for the powersupply for u to connect the driver and hard drive at 0.33 be carefull when installing a pc one mistake and you hear a BEEEPPPPPPPPP sound
CONGRATS!!! Intel AMD... really depends on what you're gonna do, I prefer AMD because i never have had problems with it and really it's generally cheaper for equivalent power. But really not a bad setup man congrats.
Be aware that the ASUS BIOS can be a bit too clever for its own good when overclocking and will tend to disable CPU power management at other than default speeds. For that reason, I personally prefer Gigabyte boards, but in your case it will probably mean making manual selections for most settings rather than leaving them set to "Auto."
Jon, just so you know, that Cooler Masters case is really hard to clean and the big 200mm fan that goes in the side is kind of flimsy, so be careful. What I did was take out that huge metal plate with the Cosmos S logo on it so I could clean off the filter with the fan on it more easily. Also don't be surprised if you have to replace the stock fan more than once...
you guys are going to build a computer .... why dont you build the best microwave to your needs so you dont need to go and get a new one every time ..... build one...... get parts from old ones
did you guys even try to look for good deals on newegg?
My friend similar OCZ RAM for 40 dollars on Tigerdirect (megadeal) and personally i'd go for a 4850x2 as currently its only a little more. i7 is the way to go though, however i'm happy with my q6600.
I will admit though, its much better buying ANY parts from newegg and putting them together than buying any of the crap from alienware.

Your body builds up static electric throughout the day and touching the contacts on a component can short circuit it and cause damage.
Wrist bands are pointless though as you can just touch the bare metal of the case (as long as the power supply is installed and connected to the mains) to discharge yourself.
But really you should just handle the components correctly, finger grease & gold contacts don't mix
