  • My railking sd70ace can pull alot to. 20 cars up an 8% grade with no slow down or 35 cars up a 4% no problem. With mth you always get alot of power.

  • was it on your newest layout or the one before you moved?

  • @dtmwalkthroughs The newest layout.

  • was it on your layout or his?

  • I got a Blue Comet Railking ready to run set in Christmas 2008 and it's a really good engine.

  • I really like that NS caboose, looks great!

  • My friend has the same engine, they are suprisingly powerful!

  • Wow 32 cars on that train.

  • i have this engine it awesome

  • In real life they would have a space car between the engine and the first tank car along with one at the end of the train. Most likely a gondola would be the spacer car.

  • um, ok.

  • does this mean there is going to be more steam on your layout from now on? ;)

  • No. This isn't even "mine". It's technically my son's engine. I have ordered my first steam engine, however, from MTH out of their 2009 vol. 1 catalog. So when that comes in, I will have my first real steamer. But, for normal operations, my layout is 100% diesel.

  • What engine did you get?

  • MTH 20-3376-1 NYC 4-8-2-L4b Mohawk Steam Engine

  • When you get that steamer, I want you to highball it with the longest train you can stir up.

  • This is why MTH is awesome.

  • Damn right.

  • where do you guys buy your engines from, ive ben watching all of these videos and im amazed, i want them on my layout when it has been completed

  • It's a little steam engine from my son's starter set. Starter set engines aren't usually very powerful, but this one can pull 32 scale cars. That's way more than a lot of starter sets will pull. So, it's the little engine that could!

  • weird title

  • Where'd you get the orange hoppers? Powerful little engine!

  • Those are L&N hoppers made by Weaver models.

  • that is a sharp looking engine!
