What was the last exercise that you were doing for? Does it expand the rib cage? And just one last question. What kind of reps and sets would you suggest for these kinds of exercises? Thanks!!
Very nice, I used to hate working abs, until I started training more for performance and discovered better core exercises like the ones in your videos.
Good ideas for core training. It is advisable to hyperextend your spine like you do in some of these exercises? Looks bad for the lower back. Thanks for sharing the knowledge.
hi fury, first of all congrats, this is an amazing video. I just found a little 'mistake'. At the end of this video, you are lying on floor doing transverse abdomen contractions. I am not sure if i see it the wrong way but you should keep your whole back touching the floor while you do this. Again, im not sure if im seeing it the wrong way and you were doing that but at some parts your back is away from the floor and i dont know if thats when you are doing the transverse contraction. Thx ^^
A lot of these exercises can be translated to simply moving around on all fours, especially if you incorperate obsticles to go over, under or balance allong.
Just got into strength training and I have an extremely weak core, this was a great vid, I learned a lot just by watching, being a newbie, What do you think the best beginner exercises would be for me to start at?
Sure is, most likely a lack of intra-abdominal pressure, and because you are not able to keep enough tension in your anterior chain, the posterior chains super compensates and you feel your low back. It's best not to feel that, start with controlled partials, and static holds.
Hey just curious about the 2 breathing exercises that you're doing at the end of this vid with your shirt off - can you explain a little about them? Thanks
Called the vacuum, basically you're activating your transverse abdominus (thing weight belt) and teaching yourself how to draw inwards to create more intra abdominal pressure. Very popular in the older days

hey where can i get those wheel things?
merclessmurder 2 years ago
You have to build them, although they sell for 80 bucks and are called akro wheels.
furyianfiraga 2 years ago
@furyianfiraga I believe I've seen some less expensive wheels online. One can also improvise w. a barbell or the right type of dumbbells.

When I do rollouts all I ever feel is my lower back working, is that from inproper form?
CheezMonsterCrazy 2 years ago
yes, opposite from most exercises, youactually have to conciously contract your abs and round your lumbar(lower back)

Good to see people training the TVA instead of the rectus abdominals. Kudos to you. Keep training hard using your God given weight belt.
