@toppertruthio Hi - Sorry for the delay - Unfortunately I do not have time to make another as I am busy with a few other projects. Thanks anyway for contacting me . . . Mac
Hi - I do indeed have the same stove, which has been well used during the current cold spells. The only change I have made is to put a hinge on the baffle plate so enable me to clean the flue pipe without having to remove the stove - I'll see if I can take some pics and add an ammendment . . . regards . . . Mac
I love your inventiveness and your creativity when it comes to metal working. I am going to build one of these myself. I am going to add air injection at the top to encourage a complete burn of the gases before they exit the flue. Also, thanks for mentioning farenheit as well as celsius for us American viewers.
I had an idea that if a box structure could be made from thin plate and the flue run through it ( but not at same atmosphere ) The residual heat fro the flue could be ducted thro to other rooms...A small fan (run from solar? ) providing the draught What do you think??
I have seen a picture of a wood stove radiator that attaches to the flue somewhere - can't remember where though. Your idea sounds fine as there is always some waste heat going up the flue - maybe you could wrap a few coils of copper pipe around the flue and blow or suck the air into an air vent in another room - what do you think . . . . Mac
Ive been building a new pc and thought id look to c if you done any more....Phew !! last time I looked you were on post number 11 !! Great to see the secondary burn plate..nice touch..and getting good secondary ignition too !!...Have you made these before ?or are you a stove maker or owt??
Thanks for your comments. No I am not a stove maker - just ready to try most things to see if it can be done - my wife calls me a nutty inventor. With regards the stove - this is my 2nd attempt. The first was just a gas bottle with a flue and a door - no glass or baffle plate or airwash - I added these things as I went along and am very pleased with the result - been running it for 2 days non stop and it works really well . . . regards , , , OMD
Where did/do you get the glass door from? Or is it off something else?
