and WHAT THE FUCK is this supposed to be ? a fantasy of some sort ? in what type of circumstances would one be likely to use this phantasmagoric (to say the least) move ?
HHmmm the real question to me is why does he grab the chin na point first it looks like to me it is contrdicting the destructive and creative cycle in kyusho jitsu which is also known as jui jitsu
mm interesting. I suppose one use would be on an assailant who knew a bit of this shit!! I mean if he knew all the usual counters, I'll wager he'd be expecting, say, for the body to drop to throw. With this he's kinda WTF!! and then he's over. I don't care how graceful it looks...life's not an exhibition lol..
désolé mais si tu lances tes jambes comme cela ton attaquant va réserrer ses jambres pour garder l'équilibre donc au pire tu donneras un atémi avec tes talons...
these situations may not sem real but if 1% of attackers out there do attack that way then it is useful, that and at least you get a good abs workout : )
i did ju jitsu for five years and we learnt that one. but yeah, it isn´t that realistic. fun to do though.:D
a lot of the technics we leanrned didn´t really seem realistic, but if you do it for fun it´s great. you still learn some handy stuff you might acctually use.
Very dangerous to perform! If the guy applying the rear bear hug let go...or if he pushes down while the other one is down low.. Very poor technique, this technique doesnt existe in jujutsu ..I am 10000% sure it doest..
I think once they were at the apex the attacker would just drop the guy on his back. If not he would surely let go on the way down once he realises the guy isnt landing on his feet.
A better escape is deep, deep breath , expand the shoulders + suddenly drop (bend the knees quickly). As you're doing this, use your hands to help "lift" their arms over you.
As a real move should... it should occur in about 1 - 2 seconds.
What is seen in this video is completely ridiculous, as it requires too much time, and for the "hugger" to "cooperate". BS. :)

haha what would happen if he droped him on his face??
jay4144 4 years ago
i think that wouldn't happen, because the smaller guy is holding the hands of the attacker. I think so

Poor Form. No real finish. Too much space

A Kata is a series of moves attacking or defending from invisible opponents.
munslow9 5 years ago
the aim of attacking like that is to throw your opponent on the ground, I'm not sure it's a great idea to help him do that...

So could have used that move this week!

i think this is not an effectiv defense! look at the uke. he put the tori in the air... just because of this is this crazy move possible.

it would suck if the guy just let go.

A good and useful move to have in handy...but if studied enough a weakness could be found.
Spykachu78 5 years ago
This isn't a 'Kata'.
It's just an escape from behind the back bearhug.
Nice effective little move though.

Looks very effective

I wouldn't exactly call this a Kata, seeing as a Kata is a sequence of moves. This was a simple escape from a bear hug with a couple of weakeners.
faithdeparted 5 years ago
you are right, is not a complete kata.
