I read the tutorial, but, how can you detect rotation with an accelerometer? Or are you actually tilting your head left and right to make the cannon move?

Thats really cool. Im in the process of building a Giger Alien costume. I want to do some basic animatronics for the lips, and tounge, and a rig that when i open my mouth it opens the aliens mouth. I was just going to try and do a push pull wire set up and run it into one of the hands, but now I seen your thing on instructables about the flex sensors, i think thats the route. The thing is I dont know jack about any of that. Could you help me out with it?

How are you tracking head motion? is it a gyro or accelerometer or combo?

Sorry for the late reply- Right now it's accelerometer based but that may change with time. I looked at all kinds of systems from gyro/accelerometer/IMU/ digital compass,etc. and this was the easiest and least expensive way for me to get the effect I wanted.
