  • I feel your voice to be so comfortable. Don't ask why.

  • Awesome video man. Very helpful. I suppose anyone motivated enough could have found that info themselves online, as I'm sure you did. It's always nice to have it broken down for you though. ------also going to tackle French. Good luck!

  • Learn Esperanto first---you will meet people all over the world--who will then assist you to learn a third or 4th language . I learned Hebrew and Portuguese by extended stays with Israeli and Brazilian Esperanto speakers. Lernu.net is the place to go for free.

  • When I click on that FSI link I get a message that says, "Access forbidden!

You don't have permission to access the requested directory. There is either no index document or the directory is read-protected.

    Error 403".

  • @AndrewDeVido The FSI link is a dot org, not dot com address.

  • Livemocha FTW!!! except to use some of the tools, you do have to pay for a subscription...

  • This was helpful and awesome...Thanks!

  • Hello, great info... since you seem interested in 'feedback' I would like to offer my thoughts... The only thing I would suggest is to slow down as you present the info... and perhaps pause just a bit between the sources so as to allow a moment to associate the info offered with that particular source mentioned. (just a bit of mental 'delineation' for those listening.) My sincere thanks for the upload... : )

  • guys, what language should i take next?..I'm native Russian speaker, fluent in English and Arabic, very advanced Ukrainian and B German (i can understand articles of wikipedia for example and what people are talking about in comments. i lack vocabs to be level C in German)..now im learning German, but i also want another language (yes i can handle it, in fact...i started learning Arabic and English at the same time)..what is the language that i should learn? (i consider Spanish, French, Italian)

  • @3511able, no offense, English is my first language, and I have not the slightest idea of what you were trying to say to that poor guy.

  • ¡ MUCHÍSIMAS GRACIAS POR ESTE VÍDEO !. Soy muy inquieto con los idiomas y quiero comenzar ya... y con este vídeo... ¡SOBRADO. :-)!

  • @3511able I'm sorry but your english is terrible!Auf wiedersehen!

  • @doubleAAbatteries687 You're just full of brains, aren't you. Learn "English (that's capitalized by the way)" at this site, and you're learning from people who can't spell their ways out of paper bags, say they speak English and they surely do not, and get all kinds of misinformation. THAT's what I meant. It takes a pretty fine-tuned brain to pick that up, I see. Good luck in all of your endeavors. Don't take any wooden nickels.

  • Brilliant! Thank for your help :)

  • i need a program that can teach me chinese to write and speak it but i cant seem to find any good ones

  • it keeps saying access not allowed

  • Thanks for sharing!

  • hey guys..wat kind of jobs can u get if u kow like 3 foreign languages? can u a decent jobs with only language skills? i mean..learning languages is hard as hell and lots of foreign languages experts dont get paid alot. :(

  • @MessageInBlood1 Hello! You can get really nice paying jobs and can also have great career. It all depends upon what kind of language you speak and how good you are at it. Also you have to be a US citizen to get a good job in the US.

  • @imrankh68 so what kind of jobs can lang experts get? As for me, i only know korean and english and i studied a bit of japanese because i live in hawaii and i wanted to work in the travel and tourism industry. Hawaii gets tons of asian tourists. but that didnt work out cause my japanese wasnt good enough and now im trying to get a job in the us military as a korean/english linguist or translator cause korean lang is kind of high demand in the us military.

  • @MessageInBlood1 Check your channel comments.

  • @imrankh68 hi i know enlgish and turkish fluently, i live in england but want a job as a translater abroad, what course is best for finding language jobs, Mandarin and arabic, Japanese or Mandarin and Indonesian?

  • I love languagess yay!!!

  • Thx for the info I love languages

  • Thanks - appreciate the information

  • I found one today. "Anki" its a study type software that lets you create and share flash card decks. I state a capitol deck and a japanese deck. they appear to have 1,000's of shared decks. really cool and easy program to use too.

Also xbox live has a few indie games for really cheap. I found spanish german and japanese on there.

  • Totally right

  • try iPhone apps from "Rolling Train" to learn conversational basics of Spanish and several other languages on your iPhone or iPad. Created it after literally missing a train when I was lost in translation during travel. see my profile video for a brief demo video of "Got Europe ?". follow me @myrollingtrain . thanks and hope to keep your train rolling.

  • I made six videos that help native English speakers to earn the basics of Polish.

Visit my channel to watch them all.

    Polish is a good language.

  • Thk you man, you are great.......

  • Thanks for the presentation. It was very informative. You did a great job, Cheers for that. Tony

  • thanks this was super helpful! :)

  • Excellent, I will master Swedish and Hebrew tehehehe

  • Are you using Zoomtext or Magic?

  • Check out BUSUU . There is no comparison for free language ed.

  • @runkrc1 does it work for you? what language(s) do you learn with it?

  • For language learners, and experts -google donny's list a new site and become an expert on the world's first and only directory of experts teaching education through video conferencing applications, and connect with others, teaching, trading ideas, connecting, etc. Sign up!

  • LiveMocha has changed very much since it was mentioned in this video, and since ı joined in 2010 for Turkish. Now you can still get the basic unit lessons free but sadly I think you have to actually pay to get more advanced lessons. They have a confusing token system recently added, where those unlock lessons or something like that. I have not been using it since that was implemented, but I did find good native speaking contacts so its not all bad.

  • Jimmy boy the link to fsi should be .org you have it as .com

  • Thank you for creating this: it's so helpful. I'm longing to return to language learning and had no idea it was possible to learn free online. One suggestion-- my eye doesn't take things in fast so it would work better for me if the cursor stayed still more often.

  • Top Way To Learn Foreign Languages For Free : Download Rosetta Stone illegally.

  • @sharky168 hahaha that's what am doing right now.

  • @sharky168 can u post the link to get rosetta stone illegally?

  • @sharky168 Rosetta Stone sucks. Just my opinion, but many polyglots agree.

  • Thank you very much. You are helpful man

  • Want to learn how to speak SPANSIH? FRENCH? GERMAN? CHINESE? ITALIAN? JAPANESE?

THIS SITE HAS IT ALL. AND FOR A SMALL PRICE YOU CAN LEARN THE LANGUAGES.

  • Can you provide me the link for speaking English website ......

  • Thank you. I'm in the process of learning German. I was using busuu.com but I ran out of free courses so hopefully I can find another site to rely on.

  • fsi-language-courses[dot]org

  • shukriya (Thank You in Hindi) nice video...thanks

  • xié xié :D (That's 'Thankyou in Chinese')

  • u the best body

  • On FSI it has a language Cantonese and Chinese... Cantonese is Chinese -______-"

  • @lionluver360 Actually China has many dialects. Cantonese is more Southern China like the areas around Hong Kong, But Mandarin is the common Chinese spoken today or also know as Simple Chinese. Most will speak Mandarin vs. Cantonese. Top 3 languages in China are Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.

  • Thank You!!

  • Thanks for this :-)

  • thanks for the info, really appreciate it.

  • Can you find me one for dutch?

  • @silverdark7 On Livemocha you can learn Dutch :)

  • Learn spanish free, watch my videos.

  • Good introduction!

  • Excellent review dude

  • Thanks for all the info! Well done!!

  • Amazing!

    Thank you for sharing**

    Take care :D

  • Livemocha is wonderful;. I'm learning Swedish and Japanese for free, and I can keep up with my German. The only thing with it though is that if you want a professional tutor to review your submissions and give you constructive criticism then you must pay a small amount. They also have Active courses which are like Rosetta stone, except cheaper, and in my opinion better because they come with a live tutor. You need at least a microphone to be able to truly learn anything from this site.

  • it is awesome!!!! Thank u sooo much for sharing these great resources!

  • thank you i will be trying this out for french:)

if i learn french then i'll be tri-lingual! :D haha.

  • Thank you so much! You've said me a huge headache in trying to find the right resource to buy at the bookstore, and a ton of money on bullshit expensive software like Rosetta Stone!

  • Everyone, FSI is NOT down, it's a .org website, not a .com

  • Good job Jimmycom

  • This video is useful.

  • Thank you for sharing.

  • FSI is down

  • I can learn foreign language for free online now. Good job.

  • Your video is useful. Thank you.

  • Thank you for sharing.

  • YouTube: ReadSpeak Karaoke English / Kararoke Reading

    Learn to speak English fluently

    Learn to read with understanding

.Good for people who have memory problems.

    I have 350 arranged in35 levels- so far !

From pre-reading up to University level.

  • First it gave me an error so I looked it up and it has changed to .org

  • I liked WiZIQ, it is nice because has live online classes you can join for free and some teachers even let you talk and practice using the mic.

  • My friend Tara shared this video in a post in FB~~I'm so glad she did..free language programs are perfect for me, as I'm unemployed right now, but want to learn. Thank you for sharing your knowledge on free programs!

  • I think you only get a six day free trial on that live mocha website now.... That is unfortunate it actually appears to be a decent way to learn a language.

  • You like French don't you? :P

  • @LouTube013

I noticed that too.. He is always talking about learning French and clicking at buttons to show you the lessons screen and stuff...

  • thank you so much for this video! i was about to go and buy a Brazilian Portuguese book/cd, but now i can just get that for free!! :D

  • i want to learn korean

  • I'm trying LiveMocha per your suggestion, and I'm already finding it to be practically addictive! It's really fun, has tons of lessons in tons of languages, and I love how I can review someone else's work who is learning English, and native speakers of the languages I'm studying can review mine! It's true that it's not all free, but there is a free version and a pay-for version of some languages, so I can live with that.

P.S.-the link you provided to FSI does not work.

  • It helped me thank you.

  • This are the languages I speak and in the order I learned them:

    1. Dutch (I'm from The Netherlands, so this is my main language.)

    2. English

And which language should I learn now? French or German??

  • @captianjoel If you speak Dutch, then just pronounce "w" like "v" and you'll have almost mastered the German language! :P

  • @MarshalltheArtist

No, that's not true.. Your comment shows how less you know about the differences between Dutch and German.. Of course it will take alot longer than you think. I can hardly understand very advanced German sentences, but I can translate it with Google Translator.. And btw, on the High School I will learn German, so I think I should wait until then. I learned English before I had it on my school and everything was too easy. If I learn German now, the same will happen again.

  • @captianjoel It was a joke, hence the ":P"

  • @MarshalltheArtist

    Oh, lol...

  • @MarshalltheArtist

I will learn German and French on the High school, so maybe I should learn another language..

  • @MarshalltheArtist

Actually the only reason why I want to learn a third language is because I'm bored.. And I'm only 11 years old and like people said, I'm very good at English for my age. The most people of my age are just beginning with English..

  • FYI:

    FSI is fsi-language-courses org

and livemocha is no longer free, it's $29/month for French, Spanish, German and Italian, and $39/month for English. It was good while it lasted.

also, you should look up about com pages for some languages, they're really informative, and better than the 'title card w/narration' lessons.

  • thx

  • Thanks for the information! :)

  • Don't know of your vids but I subscribed. THanks for the info. I joined bacause of your FREE assistance on learning 4 FREE.

  • the best to learn language is this selection customizeinternet . com

  • the scribd is also a books site

  • Brilliant!! Thank you so much! I've been trying to find out where to start to learn Mandarin Chinese. Now I have a place to start researching.

  • I tried Mango Languages and it was so good and I learnt Lesson 1 so easily, then it said for at least $100 I could do all the rest. I died a little. :(

  • hey people u can learn languages free in my blog

  • Thanks for this. I used to study German in school but I was always behind in it & not much ever sunk in, but I figured that it would be great knowing a second language so I am going to give it another shot at my own pace : )

  • well, i study languages, and dependsing on what you're learning, quality varies. meaning, if you're learnig spanish, one site may be good, but if you wanted to learn russian, the same site may not work. the mango site is great for listening skills. busuu is AMAZING. it comes in an itouch app and you can use it on the computer. it's pretty convenient. but the wikibooks on t he language are the best. i used it while studying russian, making is 108375289x easier.

  • Good stuff man!

I wish I would have found your channel sooner. =(

  • to learn german, play runescape on german.

  • @SC2Viking learning spanish is very important because is the language most countries have as their oficial language. french is one of the latin languages, so after learning spanish is easier for you to learn any of the other latin languages, german is cool as is japanese too, thats just my opinion.

  • mango as well as livemocha are paying site buddy

  • @raoulhery i don't know about mango but livemocha is absolutely free for all languages....you pay only for extra lessons and that's your choice!

but it's free and it's great!

  • @raoulhery you do have to pay for Mango, but like someone else said, LiveMocha is indeed free.

  • thanks man! this is good info, makes me think how the younger generation is more interested in the rest of the world as opposed to all these old farts that run the place, read something besides comcast, peoples!

  • Thanks for the info! So many advertised courses are just way too expensive and discourage one from making any real progress.

  • Error 403

  • @DawnCraig37 the page ends in .org im guessing you are referring to the fsi language page.

  • @DawnCraig37 If you Google FSI you get the correct link for the site. For some reason I can't paste the address into the comment. Or, just add /Content.php to the end of the address linked in the info.

  • @DawnCraig37 Use the Wayback Machine.

  • @DawnCraig37 Better yet, use the extension org instead of com

  • Thanks a lot!! Now we can all be smart!

  • Thanks for all your tips!

  • Thanks for the post!

  • great video

  • like :)

  • Thanks!

  • Thank you for posting this video, you helped me out allot. :)

  • Rate 5 Star * * * * *! ! !

Communication is the best connection to assuring better business .

Lack of communication is the biggest reason for loss of part or entire business, (namely our economy putting things off or priorities).

Patience is secret and repeating many times as needed to learn for a life time! People smile understanding you talk some words, I have experienced other in places

Another big Ah Ha ! , moment is a third language usually lets you see many words match other languages.

  • Thanks Jimmy, those websites certainly look worthwhile for learning a new language without breaking the bank.

  • Loved your video. Another free education site I like: free-ed.net/

  • Ending is weird but it still is a great video.

  • The BBC has a good assortment of language tools for the more commonly spoken European languages. Mi vida loca is one of the more interesting Spanish programs.

  • LIvemocha is cool. Mango languages works very well. Mango Languages rabotayet ochen harasho.

  • bravo es una muestra que la tecnologia y herramientas disponible spueden usarse con un buen proposito/congrats here's a good example that tech & tools can do good for a meaning.... can you find the best place to learn dialects??? that can be usefull for scientific research
