  • This is now my favorite way to bind off. I just tried it on my project and it's exactly what I've been looking for. It's not only loose, but it also gives a clean edge! I love it. Thank you for sharing it and teaching it so clearly!

  • This video is a relief for me because I find the usual standard bind-off is so tight and my start-off end of my project is usually larger than my finish-off end. I'll try this technique.

  • lovelovelove this! Thaaankyou! I have been struggling for a way to bind off some wrist warmers leaving a loose enough finish without being too stretchy! This is just so perfect and I'll use it over and over...

  • Very nice instructions! I loved the video of it it was so clear to me.

  • Hi, great clear video. I'm new to knitting. Would it be OK to use this on a V-neckline? I cast off already but it was tight I couldn't get it over my son's head! I've unpicked it and wondered if this would be OK or would it make the V-neck baggy as maybe it is only round necklines you use it with. Many thanks

  • @queenofpuddings13 Not knowing your pattern, I definitely think it would be worth a try. Grandma would approve!

  • Great video and clear instructions! Thank you so much!

  • which bind off method is better for a neckline knitted in round, sewn bind off or grandma's favorite?? The pattern calls for Italian bind off but instructions were unclear to me and could not find any video on it. Thank you!

  • @drswitz My answer depends on what pattern the neckline is knit. For an all knit neckline I would use the sewn bind off and for a rib neckline I would use Grandma's Favorite. I have never heard of the Italian bind off either!

  • the video was great and easy to follow, but my bind off wasn't any stretchier than a normal bindoff

  • @nlcurrie Did you wrap the yarn counterclockwise? It should be looser than the standard bind off. If you need stretchy, try my video on the Sewn Bind Off.

  • Really helpful!! Thanks!

  • The perfect cast-off for a neck ribbing that threatened to be too tight. saved my project. Thanks!

  • Thanks for the helpful advice!

  • your video is great. i always bind off wayyyy too tight. this method will be great for my sweater

  • Thank you so much! This makes binding off my cowl so much easier and better!

  • you're a very good teacher. Very clear instructions, nice voice and good video quality. Thanks for the help!

  • Thanks for your kind words! Look for more videos in 2010. Thanks for watching!
