I notic that this game doesnt have huge explosions with spartans flying from one side of the map to the other. im used to lobbing a grenade and seeing my enemy fly over my head, but in this one they just get propelled a few feet. also it appears you cant jump as high. more logical gravity, but hopefully we can still tweak it in custom games.

Just to clarify, this video is the gameplay in Halo Reach ALPHA, not beta. So it's a possibility things will be different for the beta compared to this here video. Anyways, it looks to me like Reach Multiplayer is genius and it's going to be non stop fun! Halo 3 ODST was a bust, and I'm so glad they're making this one a real Halo. Totally looking forward to the beta on May 3rd, gonna play it all the time. Although I will miss the helmet choices from halo 3 such as Mark V :[ oh well, still rules!

Semi Auto is when it fires a round with each pull of the trigger, and loads a new on in replace of it (automatically) semi = half auto = automatic

half automatic, which it is half automatic, you don't have to manually pull any loading mechanisms (i.e. a bolt rifle) to load the next round

so Semi Auto is obviously not burst fire, educate yourself. I looked it up, and even wikipedia has this information correct.

Halo Reach looks great and all but I feel like bungie is making Reach into a Call of Duty halo edition with the loadouts and stuff. Part of the reason why I liked halo so much was that you started with the same base characters and found stuff on the map rather than leveling up and getting new weapons. I hope they have a classic mode type deal where its just kill and pick up stuff with no loadouts

i feel you on that one. but this is a far cry from COD. i mean think about it...sometimes getting to a particular equipment piece was a pain. and it sucked even more when a team mate picked it up first and missed used it. The load outs are going to be that missing link that i think halo will benifit from. Its not like you can just level up and have better more powerful weapons. you still have to scavange for those. And the whole jetpack thing looks fun but will have very little practical use.

@Jonnych32 It looks like some kind of personal overshield (one of the armor abilities) that also acts like an EMP to take out the ghost, but now i don't think it was the shield that took out the ghost but either a rocket or grenade launcher shell that exploded on the player, and as a result of proximity, the ghost got taken out. The shell can be seen flying in from the right just before the ghost gets destroyed.

The only way they can prove they're not graphics whores is by making the frame-rate a solid 60 per second. Seriously, how many eye-lashes, pubic hairs, solar-flares and HDR glares do you need, before it's enough to focus on feel instead?

@abcdefggfhgfhjg. actualy i think thats an armour ability. look how he goes down on one knee and the shield tuns on and if u pause it at :35 u can see what looks to be a shield icon above his radar
