love both of these rides! i didnt care for vettes back in the day cause they were so White collar buissiness suit guys car in the 80s an 90s, and never EVER seen people do burnouts in them back then! NOW, holy shit, its not cheap 4 the everyday person, but in SUPERCAR terms, the vette is BY FAR the BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK supercar. 4 120k u get the Zr1 with around 650hp, but for 75k u can get a Z06 with 500+hp. Slap sum turbos on it, an 4 under 100k ur beatn evrything. i still luv the 900RR 4eva!
@IRONSEAN7 I almost agree with you. But for $50k you can get an Ariel Atom 3 (2.9 second 0-60)! As bad ass as a Z06 would be, I'd much rather have an Ariel Atom personally (spend the 25 grand on a couple bikes that would both be faster lol). And let's not forget the 2012 Nissan GTR at $90k (ZR1 performance+ and easier to drive, for $30k less). Now don't get me wrong, the Corvettes are pretty high up on my wish list too lol and they are definitely great bargains for performance automobiles.

The corvette would have destroyed him from a high speed roll. Anyone that know anything about the aerodynamics of bikes would know that. If it was me on the bike, this is the only way I would have raced him. If I was in the vette, I would have only raced from about an 80mph roll, and watched him disappear into my rearview. Besides, its not like a CBR900rr was that fast compared to newer bikes. It put out around 130 HP, my 04 GSXR750 did 131 HP at the wheel with a few bolt ons LOL

@breethwithme My 04' 750 and a 09' 750 both put down more than a cbr900 stock, weigh less, and have a much better power curve. Just check the stats. If you are beating your buddies 09' 750 then you are simply out riding him. I havent been beat by a 900rr yet. I rarely drag race them though, I road course and a 900rr doesnt stand a chance against me on the track unless the rider is much better than me, but then he probably wouldn't be on a 900rr then....

I always like to start from a roll, cause yea you either have to ride the clutch out or come up on a hella wheelie ( given you don't flip over ) unless you have a bike built for that,extended lowered etc...Normally when you have a fast ass car against a bike it makes sence to give the bike a lead..unless it's from a roll..

first off squid... the clutch delivers the engine's power to the wheel via a series of traction plates friction and a wet clutch assembly a primary and second sprocket and a chain and when hi revving the engine at oh say 8000 rpms and just carelessly letting the clutch fly usually causes squids (like you) to wipe out badly before making it 4 feet off the line... his clutch action was perfect the launch was sufficient for the win... and he didn't kill himself trying to show off, no falls and win

The corvette would have destroyed him from a high speed roll. Anyone that know anything about the aerodynamics of bikes would know that. If it was me on the bike, this is the only way I would have raced him. If I was in the vette, I would have only raced from about an 80mph roll, and watched him disappear into my rearview. Besides, its not like a CBR900rr was that fast compared to newer bikes. It put out around 130 HP, my 04 GSXR750 did 131 HP at the wheel with a few bolt ons LOL

@breethwithme My 04' 750 and a 09' 750 both put down more than a cbr900 stock, weigh less, and have a much better power curve. Just check the stats. If you are beating your buddies 09' 750 then you are simply out riding him. I havent been beat by a 900rr yet. I rarely drag race them though, I road course and a 900rr doesnt stand a chance against me on the track unless the rider is much better than me, but then he probably wouldn't be on a 900rr then....

Eitherway, they make roughly 110hp.. not 127 HAHAHAHA. And Full exhaust and jetting will not gain you that much HP.
I have an 09 R6, for me to gain an extra 10hp.. it takes more then full exhaust and tuned. I also have to pull the head.. Get port and polished, then get the valves done.

Nice @ weezy a gixxer 1100. I never owned a big boy like that, but my last ride was a 02 gsxr 600, was plenty fast for me.I never was good at the dead stop racing. I always like to start from a roll, cause yea you either have to ride the clutch out or come up on a hella wheelie ( given you don't flip over ) unless you have a bike built for that,extended lowered etc...Normally when you have a fast ass car against a bike it makes sence to give the bike a lead..unless it's from a roll..

first off squid... the clutch delivers the engine's power to the wheel via a series of traction plates friction and a wet clutch assembly a primary and second sprocket and a chain and when hi revving the engine at oh say 8000 rpms and just carelessly letting the clutch fly usually causes squids (like you) to wipe out badly before making it 4 feet off the line... his clutch action was perfect the launch was sufficient for the win... and he didn't kill himself trying to show off, no falls and win
