@cqli After 23 years in this work, I cannot see anywhere in the bible that specifically says music is anointed. As I see it, only people are anointed (by way of God's spiritual blessing), but the music becomes sanctified. I personally believe that the power you feel is actually the presence of the Spirit rising up within you as you listen to the music. It's easy to think that power is in the music. It has an emotive property, sure. But it's job is to stir you to worship & that's happening to you

The Hebrew were slaves for 400 years and God allowed that, the Bible is a book writing by Men, a lot the things writing were solely for historical reference, many of the laws were man made for their way of living, mostly the Israelites if not exclusively for them. The old testament refers to the Old covenant which applies for the offspring of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob-Israel not the rest of the World, however the new testament or new covenant does, due to the promise God made to Abraham.
Many "Men of God" in the Bible, on purpose and even a cynic manner violated the Law, kings like Saul, David, Salomon, but notice that the Hebrew called it "The law of Moses"; Jesus said "Before Moses I am", Jesus was a completion of the law, the fulfiller, an absolute representative of the law and with his sacrifice not only he fulfilled it, he wavered us from our sins and we entered the Grace, the law was more like a curse to Israel because they worshiped an idol after the exodus from Egypt.

Trying to blame the evil in the bible on Moses, instead of god is an interesting trick; but didn't Jesus give his stamp of approval on the Law by saying:
not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Anyone who breaks 1 of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven,
Jesus refers to the Law of God in an absolute perspective that only he has, and he fulfilled in the cross, and he was also referring to the prophecies and the purpose of God until Judgment Day. That 2 timothy 3:16 is over stated and misused since Salomon wrote Ecclesiastes 1:1 saying that those were "his words", the Bible was written "inspired" by the Spirit of God does not mean written by God himself, it means that those who wrote it lived experiences or received revelation from God.
Clearly the Bible has many metaphors which should not be interpreted in an absolute, since only God is absolute. The Churches calls the Bible the Word of God in order to impose authority, based on the interpretation of their leaders, its a scheme or why do they collect thighs but do not practice Sabbath?, Paul said or you are either in the Law or in the Grace but not both. Similar to what the Jewish leaders tried to do to Jesus using the Law, but he went over them.

Can you please tell us why your god sat up in his heaven watching people who pretended to receive revelations from him write horrible things and put horrible words into his mouth; and he didn't lift a finger to correct the problem? Try to understand something, the Bible is a big book, all the OT is about the people of Israel, there is a lot of History, prophecies, Wisdom, and all can be inspired by God because He is the Center of all those scriptures and He is the inspiration of all of its content, that content included all the bad, very bad, awful things that happened some people, God had motives, I can not give you a complete disclosure or anyone by that matter. The OT main purpose was to prepare the way to the Lord
The Bible does not take you to God, its a reference, it provides knowledge of the events and concepts that lead to the first coming of Jesus Christ and eventually the second as well. You don't need to understand the whole Bible in order to be saved, and perhaps it is not feasible to completely understand, Satan doesn't seem to understand it him self, otherwise he wouldn't killed Jesus, he would have had avoid him to meet Jesus purpose instead, many things will be revealed until Jesus returns.
Atheist people follow a pattern, they wish to outsmart the God of the Bible, which is like trying to pour the Ocean inside a glass of water, save your effort in that vane purpose; ask God to reveal to you the truth of his Kingdom through the Holy Spirit, and by giving Jesus Christ a chance to come into you heart, in order to come to God you need to be small in your ego, open your heart, not quite your mind
I recommend you to read the Gospel of John (which is like 2% of the bible total bulk text) and pay close attention to what Jesus says about the Spirit the reveals all truth, he even said to his disciples "Many things I wish to teach you but not until the Spirit of my Father come into you then you will understand". @cqli After 23 years in this work, I cannot see anywhere in the bible that specifically says music is anointed. As I see it, only people are anointed (by way of God's spiritual blessing), but the music becomes sanctified. I personally believe that the power you feel is actually the presence of the Spirit rising up within you as you listen to the music. It's easy to think that power is in the music. It has an emotive property, sure. But it's job is to stir you to worship & that's happening to you

The Hebrew were slaves for 400 years and God allowed that, the Bible is a book writing by Men, a lot the things writing were solely for historical reference, many of the laws were man made for their way of living, mostly the Israelites if not exclusively for them. The old testament refers to the Old covenant which applies for the offspring of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob-Israel not the rest of the World, however the new testament or new covenant does, due to the promise God made to Abraham.

Many "Men of God" in the Bible, on purpose and even a cynic manner violated the Law, kings like Saul, David, Salomon, but notice that the Hebrew called it "The law of Moses"; Jesus said "Before Moses I am", Jesus was a completion of the law, the fulfiller, an absolute representative of the law and with his sacrifice not only he fulfilled it, he wavered us from our sins and we entered the Grace, the law was more like a curse to Israel because they worshiped an idol after the exodus from Egypt.

Jesus refers to the Law of God in an absolute perspective that only he has, and he fulfilled in the cross, and he was also referring to the prophecies and the purpose of God until Judgment Day. That 2 timothy 3:16 is over stated and misused since Salomon wrote Ecclesiastes 1:1 saying that those were "his words", the Bible was written "inspired" by the Spirit of God does not mean written by God himself, it means that those who wrote it lived experiences or received revelation from God.

Clearly the Bible has many metaphors which should not be interpreted in an absolute, since only God is absolute. The Churches calls the Bible the Word of God in order to impose authority, based on the interpretation of their leaders, its a scheme or why do they collect thighs but do not practice Sabbath?, Paul said or you are either in the Law or in the Grace but not both. Similar to what the Jewish leaders tried to do to Jesus using the Law, but he went over them.

The Bible does not take you to God, its a reference, it provides knowledge of the events and concepts that lead to the first coming of Jesus Christ and eventually the second as well. You don't need to understand the whole Bible in order to be saved, and perhaps it is not feasible to completely understand, Satan doesn't seem to understand it him self, otherwise he wouldn't killed Jesus, he would have had avoid him to meet Jesus purpose instead, many things will be revealed until Jesus returns.
