  • That was fucking flawless

  • tenacious d song tribute talks about the best song in the world (this is this song)

  • Thom yorke paranoid anxious

  • i want to watch the live video... anyone knows where i can find it ?

  • radiohead are getting older... but the thing is that they still make "new" music. What I mean is, radiohead never sound the same two records in a row. They evolve. That is what makes them so great and fresh. Take ac/dc for example, all their records sound the same.

  • I feel kinda sorry for the 3 guys who thumbed down. They must be deaf :(

  • I´m not a man of great speeches, so I´ll keep it quick:

Nirvana are not very good; Radiohead are, and yes, they´re getting older, but their music is still sincerely good, so that doesn´t even count.

That said, I can only conclude that Radiohead are just AWESOME.

  • davvero una bella versione!

  • @Sinista415

yea they both came around the same time. the beatles broke up, Nirvana left lasting impression like beatles. as of current standing legacy is irrelevant. it's all niche music, no more gr8 bands exist on main stream. radiohead lost out to hits by nirvana, in the early 90s now a days & subsequent generations ppl won't care about 1 band for too long. radiohead included, they're old.

  • So ignorant. People will listen to Radiohead 1,000 years from now, their art will live on like Beethoven and Van Gogh.

  • super group: Yorke, Malkmus, Grohl, coyne, and mike gordon

  • why judge this? just appreciate it

  • I like this video, btw. It kinda matches this song. thanks for putting those pictures to this song!

  • @Gigsixstring how does it match? the song is about julius caesar

  • If Radiohead isnt the Beatles of our generation, who is? hmmmm...

  • The Beatles were slightly more cheerful :P

  • @robuzy

    Nirvana?

  • not eeeeeeeeveeeeeeeeeeeeen

  • i dnt get the pictures....

nothing to do with the song...do they??

  • I see you guys are comparing Radiohead vs Beatles. I definetly think that Radiohead is more complex as a whole; both their lyrics and musical atmosphere reek of deep, profound complexities which generally appeal to the immaterialistic/deep type of person. While the Beatles generally sing semi-shallow songs about love, though with exceptions such as Eleanor Rigby, A day in the life etc, which are fantastic songs. Both incredible and revolutionary bands to their era ofc, but RH wins this contest.

  • I think your analysis is both "shallow" and lacking in depth.

When comparing the two, you need to take into account more than just musical styles. You need to consider social, economic, technological and previous artists.

Remember, RH had the beatles to listen to as reference, but the beatles were clear pioneers in a world that never had anything like them before.

Their songs for the time, were not shallow, but rather deep in comparison to music being played during the same era.

  • You are correct that RH did have the Beatles as a reference, and their music itself is inspired by them, which they have mentioned themselves. In that sence you have a valid point that the Beatles were bigger pioneers than RH. But I still think that lyricly they are not on a very profound level; I mean, just because they didn't have as advanced technology back then, people could still read, and poetry itself hasn't taken huge strides since then, therefore I rate RH more in that category. (....)

  • ... (continued)

That said, RH's music, especially The Bends and OK Computer, has also had a huge impact on today's rock/art-rock/noise scene. So like in art, Monet inspired Cézanne, who inspired Picasso etc, and they each developed the art, that their peers had created. I personally like Picasso the most, but that doesn't mean that his rolemodels didn't have a bigger impact on art than he did. Anyways, I'm tired of comparisons, they're both great bands, let's just enjoy the music. Cheers

  • Radiohead and The Beatles...Two different generations, two different energies, both amazing both uncomparable.

  • Thumbs up!

  • Chuck Berry,

  • You cant really compare due to time difference.

  • What a song what a composition what intensity !!

  • shivers

  • Radiohead is almost perfect band. Propably most beautifull and talented band out there. Only thing it is lacking is catchy, powerfull and energic riffs. Still, Radiohead is near perfect

  • Are you kidding? Have your heard this song electric? It has some of the most energetic powerful riffs of all time.

  • @BrotherMagpie You are right! I searched for it and COMMUNISTNIHILIST has an upload. It is superb. You will miss some of the lyrics Tom squeezes into the acoustic version as well as the chord changes, but I do like the plugged in version.

  • 1:51

  • Catchy, powerful and energetic riffs? Like Electioneering, The Bends, Just, There There.. Those kinds of songs?

  • He haunts my dreams and steals my socks

  • and my wristbands

  • Whats with the freaky ass zombie templar with whose image we are being graced with? Anyone know the relevance?

  • I'm not sure.

  • @fuckyoucar

i read somewhere that this song was about the fall of the roman empire, so prob just a head nod to that

  • @msu1673 I think you are thinking of "You and Whose Army?" from Radiohead's "Amnesiac"

  • @fuckyoucar What's an ass zombie?

  • @fuckyoucar I know it. . . templars are very important at the origin of bourgeoisie. . . "history is light on the truth" . . .

  • rafo94 you have a lot of reazon

  • radiohead is way way bigger than the beatles....face it

  • as the biggest fan of beatles i say u right. its new age...

  • I don't think so. Beatles had a really broad appeal, while Radiohead is a "you like em or you don't" kind of band. I think the Beatles had some great songs, and great albums, but Radiohead is revolutionary, and they love to keep things fresh.

  • What do I say? Even child can understand Beatles. They r accessible. But Radiohead... They sound really bitter-sweet for men with a difficult life(we r all passing that stuff).

  • Some of their songs are accessible, but their later ones definately require a mature mind to appreciate (Eleanor Rigby, A Day in the Life, While My Guitar Gently Weeps)

  • agreed, but you cant really call radiohead revolutionary when comparing them to the beatles lol. but still, agreed i love radiohead. leeds 09 baby ;)

  • but you can't call beatles revolutionary when there were artists at the same era and before them

  • @ComradeNu still the two greatest bands ever though, indisputably

  • @ComradeNu ...there was the bends

  • @ComradeNu ah ah ah ah ah

  • Incredibleee!!!!!!

  • Why do we argue with one another. What purpose is it for does it benefit us? If one were truly a fan we would get along and appreciate what should be appreciated. The music.

  • You have downs please stop it.

  • Well, that came out of the right mouth. Just look at the amount of ha's and !'s

  • Radiohead is as close to a living God as any human or group of humans could ever be.

  • I'm sorry...did you just call me a stupid mother fucker? Wanna say that to my face? It's such a pathetic waste of time to call people terrible names on YouTube. Get a life! Also, two Beatles are dead, so they can't be a living God, now can they?

  • Thanks! You're a class act! :)

  • So you are saying the Beatles are better, but Thom Yorke is better?

    Make your mind up, love.

  • I think the beatles suck, but thats my opinion damndirtyRob, your a stupid mother fucker :)

  • OH SWEET LORD THE IRONY

  • "That's it Sir, You're leaving, The crackle of pigskin The dust and the screaming, . the yuppies networkin, the panic, the vomit, the panic the vomit, God loves his children, God loves his children

    Yeah????

Some of my favorite lyrics of all time.....

  • wuahahahahahahah What the hell are those pics...

  • wats 3:04 about?

  • radiohead is everything music should be

  • holy shit, i've never even heard of this before!!! this is insane!!!

  • one of the great musicians- thom yorke... hes up there with the likes of bowie and lennon

  • He ain't dead !(?)[was it what you're thinking lol]

  • errr bowie isn't dead either

  • lol youtube at its best

  • I wish I could've been there

    this is incredible

  • Absolutely brilliant performance.

    God loves his children...

  • Originally it was

    God Loves His Children

    Thats Why He Kills Them.

    Fact! :]

  • Correct. Thom Yorke wrote the song after a long long night started at a Los Angeles "hot spot" bar. Creep was on the radio, and americans were digging it. He was disgusted and overwhelmed by all the "yuppies" that persisted in trying to become his go-to-guy, and their ways about enjoying an evening. It was his first time seeing the sociciality of the society that all people seem to want to be part of. The elite.

In my own opinion, paranoid android was a reflection himself to .. this.

  • Thats incredibly deep and the lyrics are making way more sense to me now.

Thanks man, you've helped clear a few things up

  • BEAUTIFUL!

thankyouthankyouthankyou thom yorke for being so bloody amazing

and thank you preinfixed for posting this!!!

  • Is there any question Thom/RH pump out the best music the world have ever known?

Ok that's over the top but HOLY gravy they are amazing.

  • ive been to every radiohead show and this is thom yorkes greatest performance

  • ohhh ok ill take your word to is since youve been to every radiohead concert ever

  • This song is really hard to carry solo, and Thom delivers it magnificiently. 7/5 stars

  • well, he did write it.

  • Ha awesoe he skips the Jonny solo segment too... That's what I do when I play it acoustic.

  • not the only time ever played...

  • that is awesome

  • best song ever I do agree

  • drawing at 3:14 is almost as awesome as the song

  • best song ever

  • HOLY F THAT WAS AWESOME

  • pray now!!!!

  • I love how the studio version of the "off with his head man" is so intense and hardcore... and in this version it's so anticlimactic and utterly beautiful.

it makes me ears horny :o

  • i fucking feel the same way comrade! brain sex

  • My favorite song, ever!

  • why did he do it only the once?

  • i know, it's a classic when done in this way, I for one would love to hear it again. Maybe on the tour they're on now - I have tickets for Manchester so that'd be extra brilliant

  • He's played it with jonny at KOKO in london but yea just Thom this is the only one ive seen.

  • It's not the only time he's ever played Paranoid Android acoustic live, I'm almost certain - there was an mp3 online of it, but who knows if this is the same one.

  • beautiful...

  • haha i like how the crowd thought the song had ended at 2:50....

    what newbs.

  • No I think they just clapped because they thought the "solo" was great, I have a Nirvana album (Muddy Banks) in wich the crowd clapped after the first chorus of lithium(or smells like Teen spirit)..so it's either that or they really are a bunch of newbs.

  • I have that album too,But I think in this case they really did think its the end.

  • The best band on the planet in my opinion...it`s a hard one to call but i think this song is still the best they have done !!!

  • bless you for sharing this, bless internet for making it possible, and bless thom yorke for existing!!

  • ahhh

  • It would be great if Thom specifically recorded a studio acoustic version of Paranoid Android, with perfect sound quality. Then again, should probably be grateful that this version even exists.

  • Thom is music and music is Thom!

    The best!

  • Agreed, now words just feelings and for me memories too. Of the feelings I had in 1996 and all the things I wanted and feared.

I'm too scared to favourite this version... :O

  • Damn he's good. I love the way we're all as intoxicated by the song as each other. Its just sublime.

  • what do you mean we're intoxicated by the song as each other?

  • Absolutely faultless. Superb.

  • Thom Yorke is one of the best musicians of our time.

  • the best

  • THE VERY BEST

  • the... mm... very very best? xD

  • Not only he but all of Radiohead with him..

  • Beautiful music to my ears.

  • this is just one guy and a guitar.

  • wait... how can this even be PLAYED this way on 6 strings? how..

what the... how could he capture all of this? beyond me...

  • agreed, it's so multi layered, i have yet to try this song even with a looper pedal, better yet just one guitar

  • words cannot describe how incredible this sounds

  • This is really inspiring for anyone who owns an acoustic guitar!

thank you so much for posting this

  • i think it would have been better if they attempted to play the climaxes through with maybe jonny doing an accousticcy version of the solo or something, but still...beautiful as always :)

  • very cool, nice video stills

  • only time ever played live....?

sorry lads check out koko 2006...

  • speechless

  • genial

  • Candy Apples?

  • Perfect...

  • ...Strangers?

  • Except for when he accidentally plays an A minor chord but then switches to A major.

But anyway, this is unheard of! So cool!

  • when was that exactly?

  • A minor at 3:01 then A major at 3:02.

  • absolutely wrong

  • If not, then what is it?

  • that section starts off in Cmin doesnt it?

  • Right.

  • damn awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow this is amazing for just one acoustic guitar, what a brilliant job

  • Beautiful music to my ears.

  • First heard this song on jools holland it blew me away ,fav radiohead song in my opinion its a work of art.

Great to hear it acoustic....cheers preinfixed

  • Impresionante la emotividad transmitida a traves de esta cancion..Radiohead siempre hace eso, juega con tu sistema nervioso hasta recordarte que eres humano.

  • Woah, there's a lot going on in that guitar playing.

  • yeah, this is amazing. I still can't get enough of it.
