  • Maastricht university is the right place for those people,who are able to make desicions on their own, has ideas, doesn't afraid to tell their opinion and has creative thinking.This university creates friendly atmosphere and tutors are friends for students.For those, who are saying that there is language barrier for starts,I could tell that everything is possible just need to put some efforts and learn language by practising with other fellow students.If you don't like it you can go to America.

  • @MsEvelina91 what about "it is a university for those who are able to speak English at a good level"?

  • PBl doesnt work, the class has to be homogneous to be able to work, there are obviously language barriers for starters, and there are of course cultural differences that might impede people form fully sumberging themselves in this way of teaching. where talent can floursish really?!?! i dont think im reaching my full potential.. perhaps they mean talent for Brussels?!leading in learning.. its like 111th ranked in the world of top unis?! tutors arent helpful either! just an opinion.

  • @amayita86 I 100% agree

  • maastricht it tiny, and u get bored after like a month! the guesthouse are unfriendly and have no customer service skills whatsoever, the career event i went to called catch the coach was so misorganised and sincerly quite pointless! international, really??

  • @amayita86 yhea dhu xD

    everyone knows that O3O xD

    I mean it is just an small town :3

    and do not blame the maastricht that it's boring and such xD

    whispers:it is amsterdam =w=''..and the cabinet >.>

    and the teachers aren't helpfull I know, but I think it is that if your in a high rank of learning or something ,you must understand it yourself ^^;;

    but you can ask the teachers for prived lessons ;D

    and some people aren't friendly I know ;/

    it is bec of america I think ._.

  • @michi3dayo yhea it's not that I blame on america ,but since the more sexy thing and cool things are in the media in america and that comes to the netherlands.everyone thinks it is cool and such >.>

    and that wanna be gangter and such ;/

    ahwell ._.

    I have only one tip xD

    make fun with friends in the city as much as you can =D!

    and go to other places than maastricht ;D

    maybe,heerlen or sittard . I dunno xD just have fun :3

  • @michi3dayo im not american for starters..and never have been in an american institution of higher education! but i am pretty sure its better than this!! what point are u making on america, i dont understand!!u are not clear enough!

    i do not mean to offend.. but i think you can keep the tips to yourself, as a matter of fact, i dont have any probelm in making friends.. and that reallys isnt the issue!! and yes i am going on holiday every so often to get out of this place!

  • @amayita86 ik wild alleen helpen hoor xD

    en met america nau hun media is bijna alleen over seks en cool ;/

    dus jha nederland neemt dat over =w='' en vinden stoer/gemeen doen en cool enz..ik geef america niet de schuld alleen the media .. ;_;

    maja en met leren enz als het niet lukt,maak noties ofzo of een samenvatting,of kijk op skype og google voor hulp:3

    p.s I live in limburg too:3

  • @amayita86 I perfectly agree. And I do think that it is hard to learn from a 24 year-old tutor who does not even explain why he gave you a low mark and just says "your papers have been much more boring this time" and gives you no feedback. I think it is hard to write a proper assignment on any legal system without having someone explaining you what a legal source exactly is and why it is required for your assignment. I think it is not just hard but even impossible to learn a subject like

  • @IChoseLife7 end up looking up words for the entire evening if you are not a native speaker (wasting the time you need to read all your 654654 pages for the next tutorial) or, even worse, asking if what your Dutch or Spanish tutor is speaking is English or a mysterious language which would be English if he did not speak with a marked, ununderstandable native accent. Ah, I could keep on, but I'll stop.

  • @michi3dayo ok soo u agree that maastricht is dull and small.. and basically boring..soo thats a common gorund we sharre! there are other towns such as salamanca in spain, or like leon .. or like nottingham in england.. that have more of a student buzz thatn this place!! i mean for gos sake.. doesnt this uni cater to students?? so u also know tha teachers arent helpful. and ur complacent about it>.i want to, but i cant.. i think things need to be improved and bettered

  • also, this higher learning quality, that u allude to, shouldnt be based on people not being helpful, instead it should be based ont the things we end up knowing.. there are no statistics that PBL is yieldign better results than the standard methods of teaching! i must understand it myself, yes.. but with guidance and support form your tutors and teachers.. if not .., why go to university at all?private lessons.. yea right.. try asking them to respond to emails. thats difficult enough!

  • @amayita86 really??? fml
