I saw them at RFK stadium in DC in 1976 Memorial Day. Along with Aerosmith, Ted Nugent and Nazereth. Before the plane crash. It was beyond incredible. Rossington did a 20 minute incredible lead riff during Free Bird! He was burning that Les Paul up! it was raining that day and somebody threw a firecracker and it landed on the stage and you could tell after that they hurried through the set.

@Eggers1 Stanley and Alembic designed a special microphone system to prevent feedback. This placed matched pairs of condenser microphones spaced 60 mm apart and run out of phase. The vocalist sang into the top microphone, and the lower mic picked up whatever other sound was present in the stage environment. The signals were added together using a differential summing amp so that the sound common to both mics (the sound from the Wall) was canceled, and only the vocals were amplified

AMERICAN ROCKERS!! this is the kind of music I can listen too Over & Over All day 24/7 i was almost 10 yrs old watching a b/w T.V. & recall the breaking news with Powell with a black left eye and band aid on nose-He was speechless... I got into this GREAT MUSIC thru my 2 older bros 9&10 yrs oder than me and all they playedwas Rare Earth & Skynyrd, Deep Purple etc.. but SKYNYRD IS THE BEST BAND EVER!!

oh my God this is the most awesome Skynard ever!  Thanks for posting this. I can't believe the Japanese would put this on TV in the mid-70s but I've always known them to be open minded. I lived in Japan for 5 years and they love American music.
