  • well now it makes sense why there was all that fighting when i saw it as a kid. now i get it, the parents are the enablers for the bad behavior. if they would just teach her disciplne like any other kid she wouldn't be such handfull. isn't it amazing what we miss when we watch a movie when we're little. then we watch it like 20 yrs later and its almost a completely different movie to watch.

  • "why does she get a reward for stabbing me?"

  • If I was blind and deaf and had no way to communicate I would throw tantrums too....

  • how can helen know the letters shape if she can't even write or reading

  • @sndrlla she didn't, she could only feel the different handshapes.

at first, Miss Sullivan did all this spelling just to make Helen understand that tere is such a thing as words and only when Helen understood this she could teach her about language, letters, etc.

  • Helen was cute and smart. But she could'nt show it... I think Helen just was alone and want someone to talk to.

  • my teacher told me to go to this and wat n the world!

  • This movie is one of the reasons that I'm learning sign language. As a future educator, I believe that it would be a good idea to know how to sign just in case I should ever come across a deaf child.

  • Someone needs to lock up the child and throw away the key haha

  • "why does she get a reward for stabbing me?" haha, sorry but it was a little funny

  • when she threw the pot or vase u could hear the sound before she threw it lol

  • OH OH, Nannie Sulilivan about to whoop some ass.

  • sombody needs to teach that girl...my goodness

  • I would eat standing up

  • jimmy's a douche

  • @DumbDumbGirl96 he funny and rude

  • God that jimmy.. i just wanna punch his stupid pansy ass!! hes seriously getting on my nerves so much goodness gracious!! him and his stupid little cracks.. good actor tho. applaud him for that one atleast.

  • Those parents are dumb. I mean, wow.

  • The Words are off like alot !

  • eww

  • I find it irritating how the family think they know what they are talking about and try to defend themselves when Anne admits they are wrong.

  • the mom seams so fake to me. she's all smiley. It's in my opinion she's a bad actress

  • she reminds me of Jo Frost for some reason! super nanny!

  • man the acting in this version doesn't even compare to the original.

  • its sad the parents think thier child is no smarter than a fence post

  • hellen't parents don't know how to raise her. if miss annie weren't there, she would have been that way when she was older!

  • Comment removed

  • that father is so dumb. You don't hire ms annie to tell her how to do her work?

  • they could at least teach her to sit in one spot and eat with her hands from her own plate-blind and deaf or not.

  • Do these parents not know how to use their brain? The Captain wanted to contain/control her and Annie is offering them a way to do that and then she gets reprimanded every time she tries to, they are insufferable!

  • id be angry too prob worst

  • I really think Hellans Mom is such a Great person in the Heart...She wants to learn the letters to talk to hellen and wantes the best for Hellen....Mothers should look up to her...Shes such a Sweet girl. :-) GO TEACHER AND MOTHER!

  • Helen's parents are so stupid.

  • @TheLaughRoom They let her have anything she wants just because of her disabilities, but, she's still a child. She needs to learn from her mistakes. They're just ignorant.

  • @aGothicFruitBat ignorant=stupid.

Im just kidding, i know what u mean.

  • @TheLaughRoom I wouldn't say that Helen's parents are stupid per-say, They just had no idea how to handle her and just thought that giving her what she wants was the best solution cuz they didn't know what else 2 do

  • @XxTomRiddleFanXx Yeah, you're right, its just that my parets are very strict and even if one of my brothers had like, a problem thats that big, my parents would still treat him like any of us.

  • jimmy is stupid

  • You go teacher! Good job! 

  • they need ceaser the dog whisperer.

  • this jimmy is so annoying.

  • geez, they treat Helen like a dog!

  • "Why does she get a reward for stabbing me" LOL!

  • what an ignorant family

  • lol i wud kick that girls ass if she did wat she did in my house and lol breakfast is ready shall i get the ladder lol jimmy is my new boo dat smart ass bitch

  • iWishh shee wouldd put her handss on myy platee..idc if shee blindd and cantt hearr she needaah learn some manners..Man her parentss aree dumbb..qivin her wat shee wantss..if youu do thatt how will she ever learn ?

  • Breakfast is ready, shall I get the ladder? lol

  • jimmy is such a dick

  • i understand why her parents are reluctant, but they've yet to do anything that's worked...

  • 0:26 PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!

  • Helen was such a little brat!!

  • @gimmepb Damn straight! A discusting revolting ugly and hiedous little brat!!!!!

  • @gimmepb ,No Helen was trapped in a world of silence and darkness ,she didn't know how to tell people what she wanted ,so she threw tantrums, she's like a toddler or a baby

  • eww she touched peoples food and that teacher looks like she abusing her

  • @ilovetheworld123bka i dont believe Annie was abusing helen it was the only way she could get through helen. helen at this point was spoiled and got a treat when she did wrong so Annie had to reverse all that. Even if helen did believe Annie was abusive it didnt last long, they became lifelog companions and Annie died holding helen's hand. beautiful story

  • @dht23 oh i know shes not but if it were it looks like it

  • @ilovetheworld123bka oh sorry misunderstood you're meaning. lol. yes it does look like she is abusing helen

  • @dht23 ya it looks not she is

  • @ilovetheworld123bka well it was the oonly way to get through to helen. have you seen this scene w/ Patty Duke and Anne Bancroft I like that version better although this one is great to.

  • @dht23 okayyy

  • I Think I Know Exactly Why Hellen Gets Angry And Throws Things It's Because Every Time She Does Something Wrong Her Mother Gives Her A Treat And A Treat Is What She Wants So I Understand Hellen's Behavior

  • we watched how she learned to talk in my class when she grew up and the guys were laguhing and i was like you know thats not funny at all she's probly smarter then y'all so shut up

  • @Webkinzluver1224 she's not!

  • Oh God I love Annie. xD

  • @93RedHearts why is it Annie?I know it was Anne not Annie and it is written in my book...but i think annie is better

  • Um... I'm not exactly sure what you mean... :/

If you're talking about my spelling... I know that I spelled it wrong. Or at least from everything I've read.

  • @93RedHearts in other movies it was only Anne and also in my book....but i preffer Annie coz it sounds better than Anne...

In wikipedia also it was Ms.Anne Sullivan

  • Yeah, it's even Anne in the play "The Miracle Worker."

  • i wouldve smacked her clear across the face! Then said she fell.

  • Ha! If I had a brother like that he wouldn't last a minute with my folks, they'd leave his head ina a 360° angle like the excorcist if he ever taunted me or my sisters.

  • lmao

  • And it's all true.

  • Show pity and let her do whatever she wants? What good does that do ANYONE?

  • @Nine00 I totally agree. The parents were at the time had this child that they deemed as being dumb and helpless because she was blind/deaf. They loved her and because they loved her they didn't want to force her to do things but to be in a modern society you have to adapt and become civilazed. The parents thought of her as a baby, which is fine but Annie knew she was smart and didn't give in to her spoiled and bratty behavior like they did out of love;)

  • @Nine00 Hey, it worked with Henry VIII. Haha

  • @Nine00 so if they let her do, what ever she wants, she can kick someone in the oo-la-la

  • i would never have allowed helen to stick her hands in my food and if she would have had a tantrum i would have just let her have one lol

  • lmao!! i agree all of that would be very frustrating to me..

  • i know it is very sad to me it is terrrible that she went through all of that but in the end things work out

  • oh yeah... thats why the blind kid is wild because she gets reward for doing something wrong..... tsk tsk..... she need to leanr :)

  • She is absolutley right

  • She os absolutley right helen needs to learn

  • That is just disgusting that they let Helen stick her fingers in their plates and touch all over their food that they're going to put in their mouths. At least teach her to do that with her own plate if they don't feel like they have to teach her to use utensils. There's no way her hands are going in my food.

  • lmfao

  • @DisWldFrk90 Parents are weak! No wonder Keller was the way she was as a child sadly in this adaptation, this Helen is badly portraited.

  • @DisWldFrk90 Yes i would'nt like that neither. She maybe played with her dog or with ink and she sticks her dirty fingers in everybody's plates.BEurk!just disgusting yes and the food is dirty also. They treated her like a dog.

  • @DisWldFrk90

honestly speaking we eat with our hands but we dun let it touch our palm tats y helen is really out of option but the acting was done very well

  • @DisWldFrk90 When it is your own child, you won't care. Grow up.

  • @Linzizzle18 Not true. There are plenty of parents in my family that agree that is disgusting and that their kids fingers don't belong in their food, especially when they are going to stick their fingers straight into their mouth. They said they can let that slide with babies and even toddlers, but not an 8 year old. According to my aunt "When they're young it's cute. When they get older it starts to get disgusting and unacceptable." Probably because when they reach that age it becomes rude.

  • @DisWldFrk90 wtF? SHES dead now so its a little late

  • @TheWhatEverShow531 Hey she learned to use utensils and eat off her own plate before she died! lol Cause that's gross.

  • @DisWldFrk90 lol yes it's pretty gross eh? My best friend who is blind totally molests his food :D And then he offers it to me and i'm like "uh.. thanks. But no thanks :S" we've been best friends forever so he knows it grosses me out. Just like when i let my cats on the table it grosses him out. I know he can't help it but yeah. Pretty nasty :D

  • yes ia gree. Helen when she was little was never disicpline because the result is a always a tantrum. And I loved kate cause when I read her alwatys caring about helen she didn;t want her too be put away.

  • i know right

  • Annie is right
