I agree that this sounds absolutely terrbile, but Ryan Adams sure as fuck is not an amateur. He's an incredible songwriter, and if he's playing shows with and being covered by Elton John, than obviously a genius has spotted another genius.

First he did it with "Wonderwall" to which Oasis called him a "Fucking amateur".

He can't hit any of these notes and yet it's supposed to be "cool & grungy".

Thanks so much for posting this! I was there that night and I really enjoyed reliving this moment just now. Elton John was completely unexpected and the audience was pretty much in a state of euphoria during the two (from what I can remember) songs they played together that night. Hands down, one of my best concert memories ever!
