I'm not sure about that as the a380 is wider than the 747 (first floor) but still has the same seat configuration.

Plus you cannot compare the seats as each airline does something different.

Best landing experience:

Same plane, but on Jan 08,

It was really rainy outside and turbulent, not good landing conditions but for some reason (probably very good pilot) I couldn't even feel the plane touch the ground! So smooth, after while then I realise it. I also realise that the plane actually touch the ground than went back up in the air again and then dropped again. The only way you could tell if the plane landed was with your ears! Quiet Engine. Noisy flaps and landing gear.

davidlu I think at the time of this flight A380 was very new aircraft and its the biggest commercial airliner. So people are just excited.

people who clap are not sad fuckers when they are in a plane that lands safely and smoothly. landing is the most dangerous part of flight and its always nice to land smoothly and be happy to arrive at your destination. for me im a terrible flyer so i always want to jump for joy when we land..

@thrcman I would say take off is the most dangerous because the engines are being stressed to the max. Engines can quit out or even catch fire and in rare cases fall off the wing

ya know I think clapping is naff too. I love planes and I'm excited about my first A380 flight as well but come on... its NOT the space shuttle! Its a plane! There has been so much testing and if there was even an inkling that the plane wouldn't make it then they wouldn't fly it. Simple.

They sold tickets to the highest bidder on ebay. My company helped build the plane, so they wanted to have someone on it.
