One thing that seems odd to me is giving more to the one family that was on the food program than to the food program itself that is helping scores of people that might otherwise starve. I mean the one kid had no gas, elec, or furniture... it would be more important to me to help that overall program more than the one family. But it ain't my money, so not my choice. This lady seems very genuine and kind, but I did find the contribution amounts a little off balance. Fell for the cute babies

I have been homeless, and if that is a bad area of Scotland, Scotland must be a paradise. There's hardly garbage on the streets or homeless people lurking about. It looks like the disparity between the very rich and the very poor is not like it is in Chicago. Also the housing is pretty nice compared to where some live here. Here if you CAN even get any help as a single person, its like 48 dollars a week not 95 dollars that she got. Still, I love this country with all my heart.

Dundee Hilltown is most likley one of poorest area but having been born in Dalfield Walk and spending most my younger life in this area this women has'nt reality on whats realy happening in UK today. By the way spent some time in London Derry last year and was really aghast at the teenaage drinking probelm I seen there which was much worst than what I have ever seen in Scotland.

If you listen to the show she owns companies worth an estimated 50 mill meaning she has 50 mill worth of assets in her companies if she sold them not that she has 50 mill laying around somewhere in cash. Yes fair point about the guy in broken down apartment, however I think she would have been worried that the money would have been used to refuel his drug habit.

By sponsoring the food project, the guy in apartment would still benefit by receiving his weekly shop.

As for the Polish comment, I have no problem with Polish in Dundee. They are paying their way and are NOT sponging off the benefits system. Unlike some people...
