First of all, I know you don't work for ED. Secondly, of course I can't do better, does that mean I can't have any critics? I'm a customer (bought BS, FC2 and will buy this) so i'm entitled to it. Thirdly, I never said they should focus on the gun only. I said that, at least in this version, they didn't get the sound of the gun (which is iconic for the A-10) right at all, and this is a letdown, especially in comparance to the high fidelity of the rest of the sim.

I hope so, because this sim looks amazing, A-10 is my favorite plane. Looking at all the detail they put in the plane itself (systems etc.) it would be even more disappointing if they decide to leave the gun sound like this. With all their military connections they could sure get their hands on some good recorded samples.

@HennyHuisman It sounds pretty realistic! In the video you linked you first hear the bullet hits, and after you hear the canon!

It sounds pretty similar... Also the gun sounds are recorded from different positions. So the gun sounds from behind the aircraft will sound different than the gun sounds when your on the ground below and infront of the aircraft. The best thing is if he would record the sound from the position like you show in your vid from the real A-10

@HennyHuisman, The game is in Beta 4, in Beta 5 they will start looking and changing weapons and armaments, so hopefully they will change the current GAU-8 sound to something more "realistic" sound.

@HennyHuisman the video you posting is tells otherwise. The sound wich is recorded there(mean the first one)is recorded from the ground. And its a bullet impact sound. The other one which is came a few seconds later is the acctual sound from the moment of fire. Which one you hear when you are a pilot. And that's sound arrives a few moments later because of the distance and because the sound is slower than the bullets. So from my point of view is truly accurate.

You see, I dont have money to buy the game right now and im very curious on how does the gun sound.
