Twilight Zone did a similar show about stopping time. The sad end was when a nuclear strike was about to detonate above her head and all she could do was stop time, hence becoming trapped and left to wander alone in paused time forever.
Favorite Show Ever !! The [Low Tech] Stop Watch was a Stroke of Genius A Writer And Film Producer's Dream Come True, There Was No Expensive props Involved During Filming Just The Actor And his Magic Watch, That's it !!
ive been looking for this for a long long time and i was only 4 years old when this was on the air! After watching a bunch of old Dr Who episodes i kept thinking about this movie.
@VipermanSBD There is another movie about the watch, I'm not talking about Airplane. This other one had the guy that used to do Hardees commercials wayyyyyy back in the day I think.
I remember this, too! I recall that this didn't air on a network, but was syndicated, mostly on independent television stations, which was a rare way to broadcast a TV movie.
Hehe, I see I'm not the only person remembering this old movie :D I too watched it as a kid, and I've just seen a movie Cashback and thought about this one.. and here it is :) I'm trying to download a whole thing, I sure hope it's available.. because I'm sure I'll never find this for sale anywhere.
Thanks for this little clip, now I'm 100% sure that's the movie! :)
That's like saying that your computer is way better than ENIAC.. And it's true, but you should never forget that this is a movie from the 1980's!! Flashy effects weren't available back than..
I can't wait to watch this whole movie again.. though I'll try to find Click and Clockstoppers as well, and any other "time-stopping" movie I can find.. because I sooooo love the idea of a time stopping :)
holy shit ..someone finallyposted this show......I knew this guy from AIRPLANE was in this show but I always thought the title was the GOLDEN WATCH.......thank you for posting this......When i was kid watching this ,...I always wished I could stop time with that watch....I wanted that GOLDEN WATCH
OMG! Why didn't I think of youtube before? It's amazing when I find stuff like this... I mean... I thought I was the only weirdo who remembered this crap! I SO wanted (hell, STILL want) a watch like that!
I WOULD, TOO! LOL! I loved this movie when it first came out--and I have been looking for it ever since! Someone should re-make it, yet I still want to own a copy of the original!
i've been looking for this movie for ages now... Do you have this movie in digital format? If you do, upload the movie to stage6 dot divx dot com and let us know - please! hehe
I loved this TV movie when it was first on! It's been a major part of my fantasy life since then. If I had one of these watches, I would SO abuse its qualities.
I need to find a copy of both. The Time gimmick in this is brilliant. This totally freaked me out as a kid. I agree with lightbeinglynn.... so cool to see again.
There was a sequel called "The Girl, the Gold Watch and Dynamite!" but none of the originals returned for it. Lee Purcell replaced Pam Dawber and I don't think Robert Hayes came back either.
Right. Also I remember seeing Zohra Lampert opposite Paul Newman in an old b/w movie from the 1950's. I always thought that Zohra's voice sounded just like Doris Roberts.
pam dawber you are so pretty!

@Mark2790 same with the original TZ where a man broke the watch and everything was frozen in time forever and he was alone.

This is my favorite part, the bikini part. As a kid I wanted to see her boobs so bad, lol.
What is the name of the other movie with the other guy playing the lead role? I forgot. I'd love to have both on dvd.

There's a scene before this..where
Ms.Dawber gets into bed with Mr.Hayes
and not her boyfriend.."Bernie The talent
Agent".
