This amazing comment from MENTALMALFUNCTION struck me deeply about how many jazz styles/tastes & beauties there are.

If I see him playing excellent Ragtime which I don't like - I don't know why : I think it's not grooving but MENTALMAL plays it fantasticly & He says "nice approach" and Myself I thought : What a Great Lot2Learn_remake, specially on the rhythme part and Doug's comment about the BOX , I wished there was a kind of forum where everybody could really speak ! - ****** Roger Great !

The best thing that I like in this version, is that you have played entirely with your style, with real feeling, not a copy of music. This not only makes the song very musical but also the character of those who interpret it. Great solo expression. Very Nice sound from your real piano. * * * * *

This swings really, really hard!! I particularly like how you take a chord up a half step for a couple of beats before coming down half a step and playing the expected chord. It makes for a very musical way to briefly play outside, and then to slide right back in to the structure of the song. You are playing outside with a clear strategy. That and being totally in the pocket stand out to me in this post. Wow!
