This gets much better with a suppressor attached to it, and I think once the upcoming patch hits it will become a lot better (Reduced recoil, about 0.33 per side). The suppressor almost completely eliminates what little vertical recoil there is leaving you to concentrate on the horizontal. The bullet velocity means the suppressor has almost no impact to how quickly you kill with it and you can use a laser sight alongside it so the hip fire is still fine. I have 500 kills with it and like it.

I prefer to use single shot with this weapon, as I do with most of the other weapons. When firing semi-automatic I didn't feel the recoil was that bad, but I didn't like the ironsights. Then, ironically, by the time I unlocked the PK-AS holographic sight for it, I had been using the ironsights so much that I actually did better with them than the holographic sight.

IMO All the carbine are shit. The faster firing ones feel like they're peashooters and only get hitmarkers at medium range... this one was the one that was working better for me. I guess I'll stick to my P90 or PP2000 as engy

It's supposed to be burstfired due too it's higher recoil reset rate, and heavy barrel on top of that actually makes it more useful then you can think. In other words for longer distance. Still not saying it's that good, but just some facts.

agreed im working on unlocking all service stars for all weapons but am struggling with this and the damn an94 i like this better than assaults an94 as getting the tour of duty is turning out to be a bit of a chore.

DICE seems to think that some factors are important when they aren't at all in regards to balance. Right now they don't seem to understand how to properly compensate for fire rate as far as balance is concerned. You look at the weapons that you lose gunfights to on a consistent basis, they're all really high fire rate. The SAW, the Famas, the MG36, the F2000. High fire rate weapons have a much faster kill rate because their damage isn't balanced accordingly. The only exception is the MP7. =/

I completely agree, while i go barebones (no sight or grips etc...) on 90% of the guns this is one of the few i would use foregrip on.

I even tried scope on it but that realy made recoil come up.

@MillionCrore the 50 (i think) MAV spot assists, 5 backstabbs with the knife, 50 suppreson kill assists ( you shoot close to an enemy without killing it), 50 ammo resupperlies ( you give 50 mags/explosives to teammates not yourself),

If it is true that the foregrip is built-in I'd really hate to see what it would be like without the damn thing.. I'm not a fan of this weapon either and will stick with the HK53/G53 (whichever it says it is for you and yeah I actually am in love with HK53..) Gotta say after finally getting the vehicle destruction with a repair tool finally.. was hoping for something a tad better :/ oh well!

the gun isnt worth the repair tool destroy that most people struggle with but i use the repair tool to take out/steal vehicles a lot so it wasnt much of an issue. the gun sucks compared to its big brother which i actually enjoy using

Sweet more BF3... It's not that i have any baseless aversion to SWTOR it's just that i don't game on PC and the money i wanted to use for a gaming PC is going to pay for classes so its not like I had a choice :p. Spot on in your comments on this gun. This weapon is a great example of how weapons dont translate well between games. If I'm not mistaken this is called the Type 95 in MW3 and in that game it is known as the OP weapon yet in BF3 its a waste of time - go figure!

I have service stars for all primary weapons except the 1014 shotgun. When talking about good weapons in the B2K expansion pack i would say that the assault rifles,the lmg's and the L96 are the better of those weapons. I like trying out weapons so i might get all unlocks for all guns. When talking about the pistols i only have service stars for 4 of them. It takes so much time with pistols!

Apparently the foregrip is just for show, it doesnt help to reduce the horizontal recoil at all. According to the BF wiki.

The QBZ-95B has a foregrip by default, and able to attach flashlight or lasersight on the second attachment slot which is usually as the 3rd on other guns, thus enabling us to attach heavy barrel, suppressor or flash suppressor as the 3rd perk. The gun might be underperforming compared to the other carbines but the different customization options might be worthwhile.
