  • I get sad when I read comments like that.

Languages change deal with it I mean Maltese that decend from North African arabic languages/dialects and has changed even more the Darija and that has been respected as a language in it's own right must be the most disgusted thing in the earth.. mean with you logic Spanish is a corruption of Latin my mother tounge Swedish is a corruption of Old Norse, Hindi a corruption of Sanskrit and etc because they have all changed from that

  • greek and cypriot.

  • Hi Moses, I only learn standard languages and I don't even speak a German dialect. Learning a dialect would only make sense to me, if I lived in a region, where such a dialect is predominantly spoken. It's a good advice to learn the standard language of such a dialect first. Fasulye

  • You know 'Darija' is the name for Arabic Dialects all over North Africa not just Morocco, how exactly is Darija 'primitive'? Could you explain that.

  • Syrian and Egyptian dailect are different only certain letters are pronounced same (i.e: the letter Q is pronounced as A) but as dailect are tottaly different.

    Syrian dailect is beautufl though!

  • Syrian and lebonaness are more similar

  • Hoi there..i am african and i speak and write fluently like 7 european languages ( french, english, dutch, German, spanish, portuguese and italian) and i also do speak my african native language (sango) and french creole from Martinique..I really would like to learn Japanese..then i will start learning other african languages like swahili, Lingala and maybe arabic...i am very lucky because i don' t take much time to learn new languages..it usually takes 7 months..

  • Darija is widely spoken here in my city so I'm familiar witht the sound but not the language ^^

  • No, euh I was talking about dariJA which is the maroccan dialect of arabic , so I guess it has nothing to do with persian, right?

  • I'm not familiar with Darija.

  • Persian ? I thought it was a indo european language. Darija unlike MSA and other dialects but I really want to learn it because I have many marrocan friends here

  • Yea, Dari is close to Persian. They speak that in Afghanistan.

  • cool

  • hey mouse keep up the great job ! love ur videos and sometimes..there are dialects that have words completely different from standard language

  • i was not rlly clear in this one but sometimes..they are so different i cant even understand most of the dialects in bulgarian...sometimes they are so confusing like the famous "zlatograd dialect" which no one can understand and they even subtitle it on TV shows

  • Great vid! but ressources are so hard to find for dialects...

Do you think that fussha (MSA) helps to learn Darija dialect? Did you find some ressources to study darija?

  • I think learning Persian would help with learning Daria. I don't have that one on my language list. I do have Kurdish on my list and I was able to find a few resources on it.

  • Keep up the good work cuz..
