Great video. People often upset whenefer the word 'hindu' is mentioned, just being mentioned. Go India, go Hinduism, be brave, people will finally understand you. Flood of vedic visdom and truth cannot be stoped.
This is such a stupid video. Certainly like aurobindo we're living in the disappeared past.
All the masters like Raman mahrishi, nagaurjana, bodhidharma, ram krishna paramahansa, jiddu krishnamurti, buddha, mahavir, vivekanad, guru nanak, kabir, meera, lalla, chaitnya mahaprabhu, namdev, farid emphasized on knowing thyself, which could only happen by being absolutely present in this moment, but somehow we love to live in the lost glory rather than facing reality happening at this moment. :)
in india ,tamilnadu ,human souls are taken under earth ,under rocks ,even to several thousnds kilometers under rocks and given different shapes .in sevrages and made aliens .please save ..taking under earth and beating and burning .please save .to every one .every molecules .and request to bring all the souls ,creatures from under earth to on earth .please save from pains ,sufferings .please save
"India saw from the beginning..." (When? I'm asking because this sentence is imprecise.)
The rest of it seems OK. But some comments here wreak of a kind of claim to superiority that are quite out of place in the context of this ancient wisdom.
No, wait. This vid is horribly imprecise and feels like the production of nationalistic (and irrational) sentiment.
The biggest flaw is that it speaks of "India" as a single homogeneous entity, and "India" has never been that. Indeed the concept and word "India" is foreign to native Indians, to whom the region was many countries, with intra-divisions on lines of (inter alia) caste, religion and even "race".
@YGRoundNo2 : did you drink hemp , mate ? This vid is amazingly accurate - and you sound like fed on your horribly pathetic Christian culture to despise Truth , - ie , anything that does not go beyond your invented story of Jesus ( mythical character invented by Constantine , Roman Emperor by committee).
India , that is Bharata , was around when your ancestors were painting nthemselves blue , learn to repsect the Mother civilization of the world - Vedic Culture of India.
I'm not even Christian ... jeez, you just proved yourself as willing to accept information without evidence, and without caution of possible (and probable) flaws.
India was a single sacred Identity from 10,000 years B.C. ( as per latest Anthropology) , in Indian Scriptures , it is more than that. Whioch your drunk , maggot like ancestors called ' Mythology'.
India was always a single cultural entity , with many local kingdoms , a single RACE . Latest DNA analysis shows India is a single Race , of many colours . Keep this divisive Shit in your mouth and learn some History , Twit.
If you're going to argue intelligently, as a fine example of this noble race and civilization you so much want to be a part of, at least show some intelligence and nobility.
You have no evidence that I aim to be "divisive" or support "divisive" notions of India.
"Learn some History"??? The official history of India is indeed aimed to divide, and to make Indians feel inferior to Europeans .. the reason I'm here, on this page, is INDEED to learn TRUE history!
@taurausbull If you post here you cannot avoid others' also seeing all the mistakes, hate-filled mind, pitiful lack of education and mental disorder in what you write =:D
@LooksAeterna we don't need lessons from a german pig like you in tolerance, but all your racist views about Indians and are well "documented" here. your statements are nothing but lies and people should be made aware of it .
@LooksAeterna you should instead come up with better arguments to dispove the facts that all that you have written and continue to write are nothing but lies. just because a white man like you write it it does not become the truth.
LooksAeterna has to look in his own backyard for examples of intolerance fundamentalism and rascisms and worst of all violence without reason or regret againsts minorities in germany "(wikipedia)wiki/Racism_in_Germany". Born idiot s like LooksAeterna is an audacious and blatant lier of worst kind abusing Indians without any proper knowledge
He likely means expressions used by these psychopaths such as "misguided fool" "poking his nose" "nonsense" "hocus pocus" "is NAZI anscestors" (I stopped glancing through there.
@LooksAeterna you think you have the sole right to abuse indians as nationalists and fundamentalists. you are a german scum, an idiot by all accounts. germany is full of Nazis they always were, are and will be. germans are a pack of blood thirsty wolves who know no better than to abuse and kill.
@LooksAeterna First of all don't label people nationalists or other things. Firstly it is a privilege and not a right that you learn about Indian culture and way of life. Secondly, don't tell us what our culture is... it is disrespectful, ignorant and self indulging behavior which is egotistical.
@LooksAeterna you labelled Indians falsely first and i think you are one of those who has lost his job because the work moved to India or China and you living on state handout venting your anger and frustration on Indians.
looksaeterna is a misguided fool who is needlessly poking his nose into matters that he has hardly any proper knowledge and he is desperate trying to proove his german superiority, correctness of his thoughts. he posts and arguments are simply nonsense and should be in the bin.
You have to understand: IT IS NOT I WHO'S HAVING A NATIONALISTIC ISSUE, I GENERALLY DON'T GIVE A DIME WHERE MY BODY ORIGINATED as opposed to racists and proto-fascists of the type all excited about the first parts of the Gita.
These concerns are purely those of what from my POV is primitive, backward mindset of a nation that is STILL clinging to a national identity.
I just injected that your culture is guity in itself of what it accuses the West of.
Aurobindo and Ramana Maharshi belong to the top ten of my most respected sources of wisdom.
I get nausea, however, when I see Indian nationalism and hindu fundamentalism. Any kind of fundamentalism, that is.
Gratitude for the Wisdom of the Great Souls who were NOT fundamentalists (hindu, christian or whatever), NOT nationalists (eastern or western or whatever) and were beyond all such falsifying distortions of universal wisdom.
@LooksAeterna you arrogant german stop calling Indians who love their country as nationalists and fundamentalists. why do you bother to indulge in Indian thoughts and philosophies at all, you should read your beloved book Mein kampf. It is shamless to see a half ignorant german idiot like you spreading lies and venom on the internet without any hesitation. there are more Christian fundamentalists and murderers in your whole country than throught the whole history of Hinduism.
@TheGioCool Moreover, since we are all coming out of Africa anyway, what are going on about this stupid genetic issue of 15 - 20 000 years ago ?
the genetic origin is in africa. The cultural questions at hand here are much later than the movement of this gene. It takes a really warped mind to bring this up here at all.
Next, please restrict language reflecting your body-, reproduction- and excrementing-neuroses (typical for hindu culture) to those with similar mental disorders.
It means the source was not in today's India but closer to Afghanistan.
BUT nobody with ANY brain cares the least about these results AT ALL nor would he suggest that this R1a1a has ANY connection with our cultural-political issues here. Because:
"...that was long before the Harappa culture, so if anything the "hindu" oppressors who invented the caste system were re-conquering the true Indians wome they subjected as outcasts."

@LooksAeterna Racism in Germany has a long history. It is reported that people with a migrant background "are under-represented in important institutions, including the political system, the police and the courts. A Journalist Andrea Lutz writes "During my holidays in Sweden, Ireland or England I have walked along the street with African, Japanese and Indian people, and I have never been stared at as I have in Germany
@LooksAeterna the atrocities committed by the germans towards people of other cultures --
The Herero and Namaqua Genocide is considered the first genocide of the 20th century. It occurred from 1904 until 1907 in German South-West Africa (modern day Namibia). shame shame shame on germans and the germanic clans and tribes.
The Imperialist Imagination: German Colonialism and Its Legacy (Social History, Popular Culture, and Politics in Germany) by Sara L. Friedrichsmeyer, Sara Lennox, and Susanne M. Zantop page 87 University of Michigan Press 1999
For every one to read and understand the true nature history of Germans and treatments of non germans.

@LooksAeterna you have no shame at all to lie here so blatantly. let all those who stop by here see your true color of a german facists. German war crimes in wikipedian is faily true account of is the atrocities committed by germans during the history of their nation state. shame on LooksAeterna who is lecturing Indians about virtues and vices of Indian life, culture or philosophies. Germans like LooksAeterna not only can't take blame of their evil past they have in fact no shame at all.
@LooksAeterna you may not have shout from the mountaintop that you are a racist & a bigot like ancestors and fellowmen Hitler & Osama Bin Laden, but all your racist views are well "documented" here. your statements are wholly lies or simply your imaginations or your bad education. Looksaeterna you are a low-class, perjeduiced ,bigot, racist alcoholic & a despicable human being without a shadow of a doubt.
YOU ARE A FOOL.....nowhere in history has indian hindu, sikh, buddist or jain been fundamentalist.....You are child of WESTERN THOUGH AND RACIST...so iits natural for you, to accept the western versiuon of history..When islamic armies where entering india you know faught them??..SAFFRON WARRIORS, you know when the BRIITHS RAPED INDIA..who tried to stop them SAFFRON WARRIORS//....indians say it proud that your a SAFFRON WARRIOR..dnt let racist western history tell EVERYONE THEY are racist.
Then you have no idea of Bharata ( india ) , its culture , its sacred geography. Are you Indian , or expat ? You sound like a McAulean Demon Child. Wonder who McAulay is ? That is one more proof of your low intelligence.
Aurobindo's life is an affirmation of cultural nationalism , in fact he made a final revelation before he moved to Pondicherry ' Sanatana Dharma is the Nationalism of India and its Spiritual Path'
Hindu Fundamentalism is a creation of jaundiced minds.
Inspite of a massive Holocaust of Indian ( Hindu) people , at the hands of Jihadi Islam ( many broken temples + libraries + raping people and killing them at will , taxing people for not being Muslims....list is endless) and Missionary Christians( Goa Inquisision + many converted temples in south India )..
Hindus live Tolerence - Mutual Respect is its DNA , unlike other bloody organised religions. Hindu Fundamentalism is like saying ' Dry Water' or 'Hare's Horn' - non-existant
@LooksAeterna i dont agree with hindu nationalism but u must understand why it has now come to being. "hindu"nationalism and fundamentalism has come about mainly due to centuries of christian and islamic aggression. historically, hindus have never attempted to convert others, or invade other countries in the name of religion. u need to understand that to eliminate the effect (hindu nationalism), the cause (chistian and islamic aggression) must stop.
@rahul727 As I pointed out before, hindu violence is much older than christianity, so this excuse is nil. Also I do not agree that christian missionary activities TODAY - regardless of whether I agree with that - are of themselves aggression. That was true in the days when missionaries in colonialism performed a political function for economic purposes. In fact, the aggression comes from hindu fundamentalists who kill christians, and IMO because they tend liberate the lower casts.
@rahul727 So if you want to be taken seriously in the world forum and not still be considered totally backward Hindus have to start demonstrating their intellectual maturity by owning the violence that comes from them (here on the youtube-commentaries as well), take responsibility for it, show remorse and then change. This is the procedure for any adult - instead of always falsely ascribing one's faults to some outer cause like a child.
@rahul727 Now having said that, certainly I concur with you that COLONIALISM and its scheme of economic exploitation through pseudo-christian missionaries BACK THEN CONTRIBUTED to the violence already implicit in hinduism and its caste system. So that certainly did not help, nor was it christian in the true sense.
Coalescent time estimates for R1a1a(xM458) STR from Underhill et al. (2009):
W. India 15,800
India 14,000
S. India 12,400
It went south. Moreover, that was long before the Harappa culture, so if anything the "hindu" oppressors who invented the caste system were re-conquering the true Indians wome they subjected as outcasts. =:D
More psychopaths spurting trivial truths mixed with hate filled language refelcting their maladjustment to their own physical body. It regularly comes from Indian nationalists - a neurotic mess, not only since colonialism.
@LooksAeterna your anti Indian views are typical of german supremists who have lost their minds or are fulled by their own deep inferior complex that they vent out their anger on Indians
@LooksAeterna you germans are neurotic, it is well known that german white supremists such as you and your whole clans of white inbreds had inferior complex and have suffered for generations. its for everyone to read "Inferiority feelings in the individual and the group." --- F. Oliver Brachfeld
another example
M.W. Fodor wrote in The Nation in 1936, "No race has suffered so much from an inferiority complex as has the German
@LooksAeterna you germans are neurotic, it is well known that german white supremists such as you and your whole clans had inferiority complex and have suffered for generations. its for everyone to read and understand why germans behave so badly with those not of their own kind
"No race has suffered so much from an inferiority complex as has the German"--M.W. Fodor ---- The Nation in 1936,
Inferiority feelings in the individual and the group -F. Oliver Brachfeld - 1951 Psychology
Oh while at it, for the nationalist dreamers: please google "Max Théon - the Unknown Occultist" at kepher dot net and see where some of Aurobindos symbols (and what else ?) had their origin, hehe...
Wow, a friend just pointed this out to me: google "Ramana Maharshi: Hindu and non-Hindu interpretations of a Jivanmukta" by Dr. J. Glenn Friesen.
Quote:
"Ramana said that his enlightenment was not based on Scripture or on the study of other works. At the time of his enlightenment ... he had not even heard of ‘Brahman’ or ‘samsara’. The only books he had read were the Bible (!!!), the Periapuranam... and bits of the Tayumanavar ... After his enlightenment, he read other books"
So after all this display of the very culturally and religiously induced pathologies I meant, perhaps it is time to return to the only thing I ever wanted to express:
Gratitude for the Wisdom of the Great Souls who were NOT fundamentalists (hindu, christian or whatever), NOT nationalists (eastern or western or whatever) and were beyond all such falsifying distortions of universal wisdom.
And so as a form of such gratitude, I finally managed to upload the documentary "The Sage of Arunachala" about Sri Ramana Maharshi (I have official permission to do so !). They are the only videos I ever uploaded to my channel so far, and I just wanted to announce that and invite everyone to see it !
I counted roughly 55 contributions of mine before giving up on "debating" people who behave in such a way that the Buddha calls them "unfit for debate" and hence holds his followers responsible for not "debating" them.
Google: "Kathavatthu Sutta: Topics for Discussion ", from the Anguttara Nikaya.
But in defense of Yoga, having gone through serious yoga teacher training myself, I have to say - done correctly - it doesn't necessarily impede clear thinking.
@LooksAeterna Debating involves citing proof and knowledge over the topic. Both aspects are missing from your posts. "But in defense of Yoga, having gone through serious yoga teacher training myself, I have to say - done correctly - it doesn't necessarily impede clear thinking." You do realize there are 9 different schools of yoga and using Yoga as an umbrella term is incorrect.
People like LooksAeterna come in suddenly, spout some BS out of nowhere and when challenged with counter evidence, will simply call names instead of engaging in a meaningful debate. They are nothing more than trolls.
As far as the "west" and "western thought" are concerned, i hope we both agree now that anceint greeks and romans cannot be classided as "western" in modern sense.
@LooksAeterna From geneticist Stephen Oppenheimer 's magnum opus "The Real Eve"
"Indeed, nearly all Europeans and by extension, many Americans can trace their ancestors to only four mtDNA lines, which appeared between 10,000 and 50,000 years ago and originated from South Asia."
@LooksAeterna, Indian population is indeed is derived from ANI(ancestral north Indians) and ASI (ancestral south India) genetic groups. But the point is both if these groups evolved in India. There is no genetic evidence to prove that ANI came from outside of India. The genetic evidence proves that the ANI migrated out of India towards middle east and central asia and from there to Europe.
finding relatively closer affinity to Western Eurasians than to Asians among upper castes compared to lower and in men compared to women... Evidence has also been found that the deep ancestry of the entire Indian population is a hybrid of two distinct founder groups: the "Ancestral North Indian" (ANI) genetically closer to Middle Easterners, Central Asians, and Europeans; and the "Ancestral South Indian" (ASI) is as distinct from ANI and East Asians as they are from each other;
whose relative proportions vary with the former type more prevalent in high-caste and Indo-Aryan speaking groups." (end of quote, forgot the quotation mark at the beginning up there).
Google:
Bamshad et al. "Genetic Evidence on the Origins of Indian Caste Populations"
@LooksAeterna the ancestoral north indians are from the south indian populations. further testing has proved that the shared genome present in europe was from india. ..as the indian genome was of a much older date.
@TheDharmaArmyofASIA excellent words someone has to let LooksAeterna know these facts, He is stuck with Max Muller and his hocus pocus of Aryan invasion theory and caste system theories of the british pseudo-intellectuals
@LooksAeterna you are bent upon proving the lies propogated by your fellow europeans, sorry but you should go back to school and read the latest results and not just rely on European lies
@LooksAeterna Studied by 90 scientists from the Human Genome Organization’s (HUGO’s), the research on Southeast Asian (SEA) and East Asian (EA) populations of 1,928 unrelated individuals represented 73 populations from 10 countries, including China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia and Singapore. So unless all these people are Hindu Nationalists, please let me know where you get the basis to debunk my smog emissions. You're just a condescending manipulative person for lying about my culture.
@LooksAeterna their has been no INVASION of any kind into india for the last 40,000years........so the people of india have been largely UNdistturbed for 40,000years...only during the arab invasion during the 9thcenturies was their a minor inflow from central asia...NO ARYAN NO ALEXNADER NO HUNS, INTO indian geneome....in the past 40,000 bar the last 1000years.
@TheDharmaArmyofASIA well said LooksAeterna seems to be reading the books written by his NAZI anscestors and some one should slap his face hard and send him back to some proper school and not the schools run by NAZIs or anglo saxons
This discussion has dropped to such a level that someone else may talk to these people: "There is no archeological evidence for aryam [sic]nimmigration" duh ! And on and on...
I keep noticing more and more that it is not any particular truth that is under attack from all sides (not here but everywhere), it is the very orientation towards truth and a reasonable desire for disinteresed objectivity itself ! No matter what side you argue for, one is only accepted if you are unfair and stupid.
@LooksAeterna A study conducted by the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology in 2009 (in collaboration with Harvard Medical School, Harvard School of Public Health and the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT) analyzed half a million genetic markers across the genomes of 132 individuals from 25 ethnic groups from 13 states in India across multiple caste groups.
@LooksAeterna The study asserts, based on the impossibility of identifying any genetic indicators across caste lines, that castes in South Asia grew out of traditional tribal organizations during the formation of Indian society, and was not the product of any Aryan invasion and "subjugation" of Dravidian people.
@looksaeterna, There is no archeological evidence for aryam immigration too.As i said its just a linguistic theory.Nnothing more.As far as greece and rome being "european", they are european now, not in anceint times. You are putting present definations to anceint history with no relevance.Anceint greece and rome have far more common things with egypt than it had with brittons or angles or saxons or normans. They considered what you call "europeans" as outsiders and barbarian people.
Vivekananda? Western influence? This is new. What else? He never said anything about the Vedas? Vedas had Western influence?
And why do you attempt to hijack Greek/Roman philosophy and make it "Western"? Clearly , with no recourse, you had to join the nearest school of thought!
I mean really, what is YOURS?
The Christian tradition attempts to hijack the Jewish faith.
The philosophy is not yours. America, the land, was not yours...you stole/robbed/murdered to get it. WESTERN!
@LooksAetern there is nothing called "western" or "western thought" to begin with. There was a greek and roman thought. But the greeks and romans were not "western" . "west" in modern sense denotes western europe . Anceint greeks and romans considered what is now "western" (europe) as barbarian lands inhabited by cultural less inferior people. Also there is no evidence for aryan invasion theory. It is just a linguistic theory with no basis in archeology or genetics.
@yendluri Are you the second Straw man fallacy man now ? I explicitly denied the invasion theory. But lunatics believe that merely because the Indus culture did not go down because of invasion, then there was no aryan IMMIGRATION which led to a suppression of the aboriginal people. This inference is totally nonsensical.
As for your redefinition of "Western", and there being "no western" INFLUENCE I guess it shows your level of education. Greece and Rome are parts of Europe, duh.
I just got to thinking: the behavior of Indian nationalists here is a good indicator for why J. Krishnamurti called all this narrow minded blue meme (see Spiral Dynamics) traditional stuff (East or West) the bullshit that it is.
Speaking of K. it is equally interesting that apparently all great Indian sages of late had heavy Western influence:
Oh, I just noticed that after I blocked this fellow who seems to be the same one with a mental imbalance who keeps coming back to this thread under various new identities, posted another avalanche.
Keep going and proving my point !
The Wisdom of India has been outsourced long ago, just like our jobs got outsourced to India. What you have left there in the way of traditionalists, if you are so proud of it, by all means: keep it. No one else needs it.
Aurobindo (besides his excellent British education) also had strong theosophic influences from the Mother (Alfassa): google "Max Théon - the Unknown Occultist"
AND
he was suggested for the nobel price of literature by Lucila Godoy Alcayaga, better known as Gabriela Mistral who was also a Freemason.
whether anybody believe it or not but one of the most acplished and genius ppl were from the Asia. and for example the hindu music i believe has some biological significance.
.christ and christian have nothing in common..christians used slavery, murder the bible to spread idealogy..the church who said science was evil...the church burned women as witches..the greeks state that to find knowledge of maths science go to india...the indians have the most advanced numbering, ,maths, science, language.THIS IS FACT..go to india today you see, you feel, history,.you see life..bible is proved to be ILLOGICAL..world 6000 yrs old pfff u dont get yogo from illoigical thoughts.
@TheDharmaArmyofASIA I just want to correct you. You are right that the East "enlightened" the dark BUT math and science did not ONLY start in India and China. You forgot the EGYPTIANS and the ARABS (Babylonians also): Algebra, Pythagorean, quadratics etc etc...... They made extremely significant observations and proofs. You just seemed to leave key societies out of your analyses. Thanks and Peace.
@LooksAeterna lol white people try to rewrite history over and over again....first its was the blacks nothing more than savaeges....THE EAST TOOK THE WEST OUT OF THE DARK AGES.....the foundation of all mathes and science is found in india and china....the first ever yoga poses can be found dating back 3000years...yogo posed seals can be found acros india from 3000years back
bwwaaaaha, apparently you can't possibly have read all my contributions here otherwise you wouldn't think that the true parts of what you said (among your biased exaggerations) are in contradiction to my points.
Don't sweat it, I have spent two decades of studying and practicing in eastern and western traditions. Just rest assured that anything true you can tell me about the east is already well known to me.
@LooksAeterna you contradict yourself. The east is all about introspection and individual self discovery and spirituality. How can you possibly claim anything that the east offers is well known to you if you claim to have all encompassing knowledge?
@sputtagunta1 Nothing in what I say contradicts anything else I said here + your question makes no sense in so many ways, I see no sense in debating. Think whatever you like, namaste !
@LooksAeterna how can you say that you know everything about eastern philosophy when the concept of the philosophy is self discovery and interdialogue. Being condescending about what you know is contradictory to Eastern thought.
The reason it doesn't make sense is because you don't understand eastern thought, although you claim you do.
@LooksAeterna Looking at Eastern religions through a western prism is no way to understand the abstractness and beauty of thought. You are limiting your scope of exploration. To truly discover the concept of transcendental knowledge, you must let go of your ego first and acknowledge there is much more to learn. Truth has multiple layers which you can uncover, just as much as it is relativist, it is also absolute.
To discover the truth, you need to perceive truth without limitation.
@sputtagunta1 You should stop projecting your prejudices on me and instead look at the arguments for their own merits. What you are trying to do here is a typical sign of immaturity for dialogue called "ad hominem", you obviously do not even realize what I said. Hence I will not debate with you.
@LooksAeterna I don't need a lecture in what "ad hominem" is. Western scholars love to propagate the Aryan invasion theory without any sound proof and genetic evidence.
Genetic evidence says that Indians are all the same. As far as me being immature. Immaturity comes for regurgitating propagandist comments from textbooks completely biased towards western viewpoint.
If you want me to stop debunking your statements, stop forcing the Etic perspective on us. You are just like Michael Witzel.
@sputtagunta1 As long as you use fallcies like ad hominem you need a lecture. I am not a proponent of aryan invasion, for instance. Nevertheless the aryans gradually and increasingly suppressed the aboriginal culture, they just didn't invade.
Indeed, genetic research does prove that the lower the caste, the more the genetic signature belongs to the aboriginal culture, and the higher, the more aryan it is. Taht has nothing to do with aryan invasion, but everything to do with caste suppression.
@LooksAeterna WRONG. Genetic research shows no difference between higher and lower castes. They are similar and there is so distinction between the two.
Just go worship your overlord Michel Witzel and join the Aryan invasion cult. No use being apologetic and defending a theory that has scientifically been proven false. Take your propaganda somewhere else, we can define our own history thank you :-)
@LooksAeterna I have scientific papers to back up my statements, what do you have except for your theories and assumptions based on linguistic patterns?
I repeat and stress, my view of Hinduism has NOTHING to do with the Urantia Book itself, although I like the quotation I pointed to below. If you like to see a view that I favor and which is a very profound addition to Aurobindo's, then
google: "Interview with Bernadette Roberts Reprinted"
google: "Thus we discover that our original darkness IS true light"
and click on the very first link at "spiritualteachers org" in both cases. Highly recommended !
This excerpt mentioned below should do both sides of your issues (not mine) justice. Aurobindo was likely unaware how much his Integral Yoga owed to Christianity (since he rightly rejected the intentions behind organized christianity in India)
but his Yoga - just like Christian Mysticism and totally unlike most of Hindu Yogas - entirely rests on faith and not in the slightest on ritual or on secret formulas. Original Yoga was also free of that, but its origin is pre-Hindu, aboriginal Indian.
It has become amply clear that you are acting stupid in order to obfuscate the truth.
It is good that you do this since it will show that traditional hindu "culture" (which is a form of exploit. oppression) has nothing to offer to the world.
We prostrate to all the good things coming from India: the teachings of the Buddha (as opposed to its misinterpretation by the Vaishna fundamentalists), Aurobindo, Ramana, Krishnamurti, Vimala Thakar, and you can keep all the rest (="culture") to yourself.
The Yoga techniques, BTW, have already been exported from India as they had already been sadly appropriated by the hindu ideology and away from the free spirit of the Indian aboriginal people whom hindus suppress to this day through the caste system.
The wisdom has now become world wide. Eckhart Tolle is more realized than any of your priests. The wise ones among the INdians would agree.
India will rise again ! After Hindu domination has crumbled completely. To that end, I applaud christians
...Now here is the way to goto oblivion nonsense world of @LooksAeterna. Looks like he is one of those anti-Manuvadis of medival Mayawati clan. From the way he speaks its clear he has an agenda of Hindu-bashing and Manuvadi-bashing. The traditional Hindu culture is something a pig-eating moron like you should not speak of. You don't understand Hinduism, Buddhism or for that matter you don't know the difference between your ass-hole to your ear-hole.
You have no idea what you are talking about. Seriously. Ignorance at best. Carl Sagan knew much more than you do. Just watch his video on Hindu cosmology. Read Francois Gautier's books. You will be enlighten for life. Ignorance is bliss. Hopefully, some people are wiser and morally higher than others. Swami Vivekananda is one of such a man.
Now this was condemed by Adi Shankar as a fraud on Hinduism. So Buddhism was not evil or threat to Hinduism except it has lost its purpose in India and was redundent. It become succesfull in other countries becuase there was no Hinduism or knowledge of Hinduism in those countries....so in way Buddhism took the best of Hinduism and propogated it to the whole world. People like Swami Vivekananda, Aurobindo showed the world that Hinduism and Buddhism are two paths to the same Ultimate Truth.
The West brought Buddhism back to India is an contradiction in itself...Buddhism did not become extinct but merely got blended with Hinduism and other Dharmic religion. Becuase what Gautama Buddha was trying to do is to show the Vedic Hindus that merely adopting the Vedic scriptures in face value is not good and doing sacrifices will not yield any good. Now after the death of Gautama Buddha, his followers were doing the same thing merely following his scriptures in face value.
Stop this nonsense with the supposed tolerance of hindus. It is a well known fact that Hindus disparaged the buddhist teachings until the WESTERNERS brought it back into India through their interest.
Go to google books, there search:
"To delude the demons" Buddha
or
"evil doctrine - Buddhism"
click on the first link.
Buddhism was considered an evil doctrine until westenern interest in buddhism led Vivekananda to use it as a kind of advertising for India.
@Looks Aeterna has to be tele-transported to medieval times....because his knowledge on history stops there. His mumbo-jumbo about 'Brahma-jala' or 'Maya-jala' is for third rated minds with fourth-rated knowledge level!! Buddhism was defeated philosophically and theologically by Adi Shankara and other Hindu philosophers by showing Buddhism is another form of Hindu philosophy, since it supports Karma, Maya, and in believes in Rebirth according to ones action or karma in previous birth.
Whatever might be the case of WESTERN INTEREST, your theory of Buddhism being a threat is non-existing today and has no practical purpose apart from academic bullshit!! Having said that, what exactly is your point; that Swami Vivekananda was wrong in using the western interest in Buddhism as his platform. If yes, then what is wrong in it, after all Westerners didnt know the difference between Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism or Sikhism during 18th century?
For them everything was same Oriental Religion. If no, then youre merely making a mess and mockery of this debate and its a waste of time talking with you. If you don't understand the very basis of Hindu tolerance than you failed to understand the true essence of Hinduism and have no locus standi to speak about 'Genius of India'
Yes, of course, Olcott and the theosophists and such people fired up western interest in buddhism. And ONLY because of that did VIvekananda use it to address the west and since that time the Indians suddenly rediscovered the Buddha. In this sense, yes, the West brought the Buddha into India.
Hindu nationalists before had derided Buddhism as a teaching that leads the wicked into hell.
The Buddha was always a problem for hindus, even back then, see brahmajala sutta.
This is the greatest fraud ever perpetuated!! Swami Vivekananda never took the route of Theosophists...infact he derided them as the false reperesentatives of Hinduism. @LooksAeterna has no concrete idea about anything at all adn is mouthing of bullshit.
You've got to learn to read: I did not claim he was a theosophist.
I said:
"Olcott and the theosophists and such people fired up western interest in buddhism. And ONLY because of that did VIvekananda use it to address the west"
Nothing wrong with my mind except you're talking things that has no proof or evidence. The reason why Vivekananda was able to goto US and speak about Hinduism is because of his own individual effort with the financial help from his friends and his well-wishers. Why would Swamiji be deriding Theosophists and Buddhism when he was invited by the same west who want hear him speak good about both. That is an oxymoron from a moron like you!!
You still didn't get, maybe you don't want to or you cannot. There is nothing self-contradicting in what I said:
Vivekananda had no interest in theosophy, but used WESTERN INTEREST in buddhism as a sort of public relations platform to relate eastern thought.
And that interest of the westerners was sparked by Olcott and this bunch. This is a fact, regardless of what you, I or Vivekananda may think of theosophy.
A mentally sane person would have immediately understood what I said.
"Yes, of course, Olcott and the theosophists and such people fired up western interest in buddhism. And ONLY because of that did VIvekananda use it to address the west and since that time the Indians suddenly rediscovered the Buddha. In this sense, yes, the West brought the Buddha into India.
Hindu nationalists before had derided Buddhism as a teaching that leads the wicked into hell.
The Buddha was always a problem for hindus, even back then, see brahmajala sutta."
Check out "Genetic analysis" at Wikipedia re the Caste system:
' "the Indo-Europeans established themselves as upper castes among this already developed caste-like class structure within the tribes."...the divisions may have become more well-defined and intensified with the arrival of Indo-Aryans.'
That means: first and foremost, it is the upper caste Indians themselves who are guilty of the fundamentalist invasion you complain about.
Thanks for preaching. We will add Christianity also to the Indian Wisdom. But then, we will still keep Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism and all other Ism's including Islam too with us; and then we will say Jai Hind!
Moreover, it si idiotic to identify christianity with the doctrinal programs of the established churches, as I have said many times.
True Christianity cannot be exclusive because it is universal. That is the case with all religions. They are all the same insofar they are true, and they are all bullshit insofar they aren't. Hence every religion is the only one there is, insofar as it is true.

Quoting from the voice-over:
"India saw from the beginning..." (When? I'm asking because this sentence is imprecise.)
The rest of it seems OK. But some comments here wreak of a kind of claim to superiority that are quite out of place in the context of this ancient wisdom.
YGRoundNo2 1 year ago
YGRoundNo2 1 year ago
@YGRoundNo2 : did you drink hemp , mate ? This vid is amazingly accurate - and you sound like fed on your horribly pathetic Christian culture to despise Truth , - ie , anything that does not go beyond your invented story of Jesus ( mythical character invented by Constantine , Roman Emperor by committee).
India , that is Bharata , was around when your ancestors were painting nthemselves blue , learn to repsect the Mother civilization of the world - Vedic Culture of India.

The official history of India is indeed aimed to divide, and to make Indians feel inferior to Europeans .. the reason I'm here, on this page, is INDEED to learn TRUE history!

cosmicintellect 6 months ago in playlist Shri Aurobindo essay The genius of India
@LooksAeterna i dont agree with hindu nationalism but u must understand why it has now come to being. "hindu"nationalism and fundamentalism has come about mainly due to centuries of christian and islamic aggression. historically, hindus have never attempted to convert others, or invade other countries in the name of religion. u need to understand that to eliminate the effect (hindu nationalism), the cause (chistian and islamic aggression) must stop.
rahul727 2 months ago
@rahul727 As I pointed out before, hindu violence is much older than christianity, so this excuse is nil. Also I do not agree that christian missionary activities TODAY - regardless of whether I agree with that - are of themselves aggression. That was true in the days when missionaries in colonialism performed a political function for economic purposes. In fact, the aggression comes from hindu fundamentalists who kill christians, and IMO because they tend liberate the lower casts.
LooksAeterna 2 months ago
@rahul727 So if you want to be taken seriously in the world forum and not still be considered totally backward Hindus have to start demonstrating their intellectual maturity by owning the violence that comes from them (here on the youtube-commentaries as well), take responsibility for it, show remorse and then change. This is the procedure for any adult - instead of always falsely ascribing one's faults to some outer cause like a child.
LooksAeterna 2 months ago
@rahul727 Now having said that, certainly I concur with you that COLONIALISM and its scheme of economic exploitation through pseudo-christian missionaries BACK THEN CONTRIBUTED to the violence already implicit in hinduism and its caste system. So that certainly did not help, nor was it christian in the true sense.

Sadly I allowed myself to talk to such elements. I am too nice.

@LooksAeterna A study conducted by the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology in 2009 (in collaboration with Harvard Medical School, Harvard School of Public Health and the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT) analyzed half a million genetic markers across the genomes of 132 individuals from 25 ethnic groups from 13 states in India across multiple caste groups.
sputtagunta1 1 year ago

WESTERN!
xferspace 1 year ago
@LooksAetern there is nothing called "western" or "western thought" to begin with. There was a greek and roman thought. But the greeks and romans were not "western" . "west" in modern sense denotes western europe . Anceint greeks and romans considered what is now "western" (europe) as barbarian lands inhabited by cultural less inferior people. Also there is no evidence for aryan invasion theory. It is just a linguistic theory with no basis in archeology or genetics.
yendluri 1 year ago

Krishnamurti (theosophists)
Aurobindo (British University, theosophic occultism)
Vivekananda (Freemason)
Tagore (Freemason)
Rajneesh (W. philosophy)

Aurobindo (besides his excellent British education) also had strong theosophic influences from the Mother (Alfassa): google "Max Théon - the Unknown Occultist"

he was suggested for the nobel price of literature by Lucila Godoy Alcayaga, better known as Gabriela Mistral who was also a Freemason.

bwwaaaaha, apparently you can't possibly have read all my contributions here otherwise you wouldn't think that the true parts of what you said (among your biased exaggerations) are in contradiction to my points.
Don't sweat it, I have spent two decades of studying and practicing in eastern and western traditions. Just rest assured that anything true you can tell me about the east is already well known to me.
LooksAeterna 1 year ago
@LooksAeterna you contradict yourself. The east is all about introspection and individual self discovery and spirituality. How can you possibly claim anything that the east offers is well known to you if you claim to have all encompassing knowledge?
sputtagunta1 1 year ago
@sputtagunta1 Nothing in what I say contradicts anything else I said here + your question makes no sense in so many ways, I see no sense in debating. Think whatever you like, namaste !
LooksAeterna 1 year ago
@LooksAeterna how can you say that you know everything about eastern philosophy when the concept of the philosophy is self discovery and interdialogue. Being condescending about what you know is contradictory to Eastern thought.
The reason it doesn't make sense is because you don't understand eastern thought, although you claim you do.
sputtagunta1 1 year ago
@LooksAeterna Looking at Eastern religions through a western prism is no way to understand the abstractness and beauty of thought. You are limiting your scope of exploration. To truly discover the concept of transcendental knowledge, you must let go of your ego first and acknowledge there is much more to learn. Truth has multiple layers which you can uncover, just as much as it is relativist, it is also absolute.
To discover the truth, you need to perceive truth without limitation.
sputtagunta1 1 year ago
@sputtagunta1 You should stop projecting your prejudices on me and instead look at the arguments for their own merits. What you are trying to do here is a typical sign of immaturity for dialogue called "ad hominem", you obviously do not even realize what I said. Hence I will not debate with you.
Believe what you like and leave me alone.
LooksAeterna 1 year ago
@LooksAeterna I don't need a lecture in what "ad hominem" is. Western scholars love to propagate the Aryan invasion theory without any sound proof and genetic evidence.
Genetic evidence says that Indians are all the same. As far as me being immature. Immaturity comes for regurgitating propagandist comments from textbooks completely biased towards western viewpoint.
If you want me to stop debunking your statements, stop forcing the Etic perspective on us. You are just like Michael Witzel.
sputtagunta1 1 year ago
@sputtagunta1 As long as you use fallcies like ad hominem you need a lecture. I am not a proponent of aryan invasion, for instance. Nevertheless the aryans gradually and increasingly suppressed the aboriginal culture, they just didn't invade.
Indeed, genetic research does prove that the lower the caste, the more the genetic signature belongs to the aboriginal culture, and the higher, the more aryan it is. Taht has nothing to do with aryan invasion, but everything to do with caste suppression.
LooksAeterna 1 year ago
@LooksAeterna you just lost any credibility you would have landed through benefit of doubt. Here is why you are an idiot:
1) First you assume that Hinduism comes from outside India.
2) You assume Yoga isn't part and parcel of Hinduism
3) Still purport separation of Aryan / Dravidian
4) You probably still think horses were alien to India.
Your debunk:
There are under water cities throughout India with Hindu sculptures that are from 10,000 BC. Choke on that ;)
sputtagunta1 1 year ago
@LooksAeterna WRONG. Genetic research shows no difference between higher and lower castes. They are similar and there is so distinction between the two.
Just go worship your overlord Michel Witzel and join the Aryan invasion cult. No use being apologetic and defending a theory that has scientifically been proven false. Take your propaganda somewhere else, we can define our own history thank you :-)

LooksAeterna 1 year ago
This excerpt mentioned below should do both sides of your issues (not mine) justice. Aurobindo was likely unaware how much his Integral Yoga owed to Christianity (since he rightly rejected the intentions behind organized christianity in India)
but his Yoga - just like Christian Mysticism and totally unlike most of Hindu Yogas - entirely rests on faith and not in the slightest on ritual or on secret formulas. Original Yoga was also free of that, but its origin is pre-Hindu, aboriginal Indian.
LooksAeterna 1 year ago
BTW, while I do not condone the Urantia Book wholesale, here's an interesting aspect to the Christian-Buddhist dialogue:

It has become amply clear that you are acting stupid in order to obfuscate the truth.
It is good that you do this since it will show that traditional hindu "culture" (which is a form of exploit. oppression) has nothing to offer to the world.
We prostrate to all the good things coming from India: the teachings of the Buddha (as opposed to its misinterpretation by the Vaishna fundamentalists), Aurobindo, Ramana, Krishnamurti, Vimala Thakar, and you can keep all the rest (="culture") to yourself.
LooksAeterna 2 years ago
The Yoga techniques, BTW, have already been exported from India as they had already been sadly appropriated by the hindu ideology and away from the free spirit of the Indian aboriginal people whom hindus suppress to this day through the caste system.
The wisdom has now become world wide. Eckhart Tolle is more realized than any of your priests. The wise ones among the INdians would agree.
India will rise again ! After Hindu domination has crumbled completely. To that end, I applaud christians

SV2609 2 years ago
The West brought Buddhism back to India is an contradiction in itself...Buddhism did not become extinct but merely got blended with Hinduism and other Dharmic religion. Becuase what Gautama Buddha was trying to do is to show the Vedic Hindus that merely adopting the Vedic scriptures in face value is not good and doing sacrifices will not yield any good. Now after the death of Gautama Buddha, his followers were doing the same thing merely following his scriptures in face value.
SV2609 2 years ago
Stop this nonsense with the supposed tolerance of hindus. It is a well known fact that Hindus disparaged the buddhist teachings until the WESTERNERS brought it back into India through their interest.
Go to google books, there search:
"To delude the demons" Buddha
or
"evil doctrine - Buddhism"
click on the first link.
Buddhism was considered an evil doctrine until westenern interest in buddhism led Vivekananda to use it as a kind of advertising for India.
LooksAeterna 2 years ago
@Looks Aeterna has to be tele-transported to medieval times....because his knowledge on history stops there. His mumbo-jumbo about 'Brahma-jala' or 'Maya-jala' is for third rated minds with fourth-rated knowledge level!! Buddhism was defeated philosophically and theologically by Adi Shankara and other Hindu philosophers by showing Buddhism is another form of Hindu philosophy, since it supports Karma, Maya, and in believes in Rebirth according to ones action or karma in previous birth.
SV2609 2 years ago
Whatever might be the case of WESTERN INTEREST, your theory of Buddhism being a threat is non-existing today and has no practical purpose apart from academic bullshit!! Having said that, what exactly is your point; that Swami Vivekananda was wrong in using the western interest in Buddhism as his platform. If yes, then what is wrong in it, after all Westerners didnt know the difference between Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism or Sikhism during 18th century?
SV2609 2 years ago
For them everything was same Oriental Religion. If no, then youre merely making a mess and mockery of this debate and its a waste of time talking with you. If you don't understand the very basis of Hindu tolerance than you failed to understand the true essence of Hinduism and have no locus standi to speak about 'Genius of India'
SV2609 2 years ago
I meant "us" ,ot the US.
LooksAeterna 2 years ago
This is the greatest fraud ever perpetuated!! Swami Vivekananda never took the route of Theosophists...infact he derided them as the false reperesentatives of Hinduism. @LooksAeterna has no concrete idea about anything at all adn is mouthing of bullshit.

You've got to learn to read: I did not claim he was a theosophist.
I said:
"Olcott and the theosophists and such people fired up western interest in buddhism. And ONLY because of that did VIvekananda use it to address the west"
Something's seriously wrong with your mind.
LooksAeterna 2 years ago
Nothing wrong with my mind except you're talking things that has no proof or evidence. The reason why Vivekananda was able to goto US and speak about Hinduism is because of his own individual effort with the financial help from his friends and his well-wishers. Why would Swamiji be deriding Theosophists and Buddhism when he was invited by the same west who want hear him speak good about both. That is an oxymoron from a moron like you!!
SV2609 2 years ago
You still didn't get, maybe you don't want to or you cannot. There is nothing self-contradicting in what I said:
Vivekananda had no interest in theosophy, but used WESTERN INTEREST in buddhism as a sort of public relations platform to relate eastern thought.
And that interest of the westerners was sparked by Olcott and this bunch. This is a fact, regardless of what you, I or Vivekananda may think of theosophy.
A mentally sane person would have immediately understood what I said.
LooksAeterna 2 years ago
And therefore:
"Yes, of course, Olcott and the theosophists and such people fired up western interest in buddhism. And ONLY because of that did VIvekananda use it to address the west and since that time the Indians suddenly rediscovered the Buddha. In this sense, yes, the West brought the Buddha into India.
