  • @robinjohanssonmdh Ya, he plays on smokey and the bandit, he sung the 2 songs west bound and east bound

  • whats that song at the beginning

  • @arragon5481 ever heard of Jerry Reed??

  • old school transam is cooler then modern 1

  • Music -> cool. old school Trans Am -> cool. WS6? ugly as hell!

  • at 2:00 he does a donut into a parking space

  • How could you dislike this video?

  • You have no idea how much it sucks to have a Pontiac that ends with "Am" and it not be a Trans Am. Some day... it will happen. Awesome cars guys.

  • when is the bandit run

  • it's firebird migration season.

  • Was snowman at the Bandit Run 2007? since he didnt die until 2008

  • AWSOME !!!

  • 3 days--what happened to 28 hours? Either way this would be great!

  • This is what heaven must be like

  • I have a 77 Trans-Am with the Hurst T-Tops that needs some TLC if anyone is interested in it it's a rolling chassis it's missing some parts off of it like 1 fender the shaker assembly, the passenger side window, and the valances for the front and rear and the carpet and seating other then that everything else is there! asking $800.00

  • I hope that guy had fun when he had to buy new tires after that burn out

  • Looks a hella lotta fun. I'm a 26 year old Brit, but Smokey and the Bandit will always be my favourite movie from my childhood!! To take part in a Bandit Run would be awesome :D

  • You Should go storm a Ford Dealer Ship.

  • GOD BLESS PONTIAC!!!!!!

  • Thats awesome ..I wanna go to the Bandit Run =D

  • bring back pontiac!!

  • In ten years a come with my cars !

  • who could dislike this?!

  • When do these runs happen?

  • I am gonna open up a tire shop somewhere between Txarcana and Atlanta and just wait for you guys.

  • I wanna come along for the next one haha, got a 91' Camaro, itd fit right in, im hoping to come across a T/A next, not sure whether i want a 77-81 or a 98-02 though, if i got a decent price on a frame-on restoration i might buy a project car, have a company restore that, and just drive my Camaro til its done =P

Either way ive always wanted to join one of these!

  • this is how you drive a Trans Am

  • omg thts alot of bandits

  • It's ridiculous.. as if the '77's didn't look mean enough, they came up with the LS1 Trans Am body.. my god i love America.

  • imagine being stuck is all those trans am's in a prius, hahahah. or, get about 30 t/a's or so and just chase a mustang that randomly appears, or, box one in, put it in "the rocking chair".

  • Hi all, is this a yearly event? Amazing what those movies did with many of us. I was like 9-10 years old when the first came out, and I just loved every second of it. It was what every boy wants; Fast cars, big trucks, smoking tires. Burt Reynolds was my big hero back then. I even became a fan of country music. For a Swedish boy at the age of 9 that's something extra. Brings back memories to hear that track. Jerry Reed past away in cancer, correct?

  • @speters987 I am also wondering if its a yearly event. It would be fun to take part in it for sure.

  • and on the 8th day, God after having created the turbo diesel and jake brake saw the need for something just as bad ass in a car, so on the 8th day the Lord giveth the "trans-am" and he blessed it with 455 cubic inches of heaven under the hood, then being the all knowing God, put Burt Reynolds in it and it was good

  • I don't think it matters whether or not you're a big Trans Am fan (I'm into old Muscle Cars in general, not T/A's in particular... and primarily, I like CORVAIRS... Go figure... ), This video is just COOL! If I had the time and money, I'd sign up for this years run in a heartbeat. I don't think I'd do too well in the burnout competition, though.

  • I'd love one of those 70's Trans ams. The nearest I've ever got to riding in one was a 78 Camaro.

And what a great sound. Who needs that crappy BMW V10 sound when you have that raw V8 power sound.

  • Baaaaaaaaaandit Ruuuuuun............!!!! niiiiice

  • only in america, great vid!

  • Well, it just does not get any better than this!! I'm ready to sell the Vet for a 77 T/A!! (Black of course)

  • get a bandit edition

  • 1:40 thats true classic hore power love those 400's

  • great video truely a masterpiece (owner of 77t/a se and 80 turbo s/e)

  • brought a tear to my eye, a real outlaw car

  • That looks like alot of fun, id'e like to take my 79 on that one of these years, quite a drive from california, but it would be fun.

  • Comment removed

  • I just bought a 79 Bandit style SE-Y84. Driving it back from Oklahoma to a new home in Canada... gonna be a long drive, but oh so sweet! East bound and down....

  • If you are driving up i29 through Kansas, and are going by Omaha, NE, you should swing by Restore a Muscle Car in Lincoln, Just an hour off of i29 and see all the Trans Ams and other cars we are restoring here! He can help you out with anything you need while on your way as well! Drive safe and Congrats on your purchase!

  • That was fuck raw as hell !!!!!!!

  • After paying for the Burt Reynolds car, that's all they could afford is Coors Light!!!

  • cool as dudes iam from england and drive a golf v6 and ive love the bandit films keep the bandit rolling hehehehe

  • that was nice. now i seen the old boy with the general lee filming the video, i cant remember his name but he is a cool cat. it would be cool if Camaros could make the run, i would do it then.

  • Dude man camaros can make the run any american muscle can

  • Way cool.................

  • Two questions:

Remember the Bandit tv series? Had some young guy driving a Black Dodge Stealth R/T in the 90s. Would that qualify?

How about a Pontiac Lemans patrol car? Can't have the Bandit without the Sheriff chasing after him...

  • That was the Viper tv series...

  • Actually there was a series of made for tv movies. Bandit Bandit, Bandit Goes Country, Beauty and the Bandit, and Bandit's Silver Angel. The bandit's car in that series was a black 91-93 Dodge Stealth R/T Twin Turbo.

  • My,my...................the 79-81 Trans-am's were the most GORGEOUS looking muscle-cars EVA!!!!

  • The Bandit Semi will be there this Year everyone show up to see the tribute to Jerry Reed !!

  • i have a ta pace car i should go to that....i been invited to lots of car shows but not one like this

i have a badass first car

  • GO PLEASE GO the Bandit Semi will be there this year too !!

  • where the fuck did he go lol

  • I saw a General Lee lol.

  • That fact that you're a sheriff is not germain to the situation........ "What the goddamn germans got to do with it!!"

  • 4:19 - they're in Alabama! You can see the Winfield police car. That's my old home place. :)

  • Watching this gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling inside and you can't but help but smile and giggle your ass off like you were 5 years old!!! Amazing!!! Wish I was there, I bet the police must have though oh no not again!!! lol Amazing to see this wonderful cars in such good condition, a real tribute to the hard work of everyone!!! Just what the song says ain't it!!! Just hope this catches on!!!!

  • Looks like alot of fun, I wish I would have bought a ta instead of my vette.

  • Really gotta go on this one day! Song never gets old but what's it called?

  • it's called East Bound and Down, it's the Smokey and the Bandit theme song

  • Yeah, it was a stupid question- just wasn't sure who sung it. But I found it so thanks though!

  • I live there, Texarkana

  • all of a sudden you see hundreads of trans ams flyin down the inter stae thatlb be funny!!!!

  • thats how you drive a fuckin pontiac...

    great video!

  • I have a 77 special addition Trans-Am and would love to do the run but I live in the Shetland Islands to the north east of Scotland! Bummer dude!

  • Gahhh!! I want to go! Hope I can get it going good enough before then

  • 3:27 when the 77 enters the highway was sweet....

  • Any year TA or any Muscle Car is welcome to join us. We had camaros, gtos and General Lees there on the first run. Thx Dave

  • Yeah because i swear i saw a red 74 GTO maybe it was a74 firebird

  • i wanna do this in my trans am

mine is the gen after the bandits tho

  • Yes, we shot the footage from a General lee 1969 Charger.

  • if anybody wants a 1980 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am talk to me here or on zwinky look for animeartist0.:D it's awesome in great shape my uncle rebuilt it

  • The camera looks like it's sticking out of a '68 or '69 Dodge Charger. Possibly a General Lee. Or am I wrong?

  • it looks like it might be a general lee i'd have to ask my uncle he restores old muscle cars he would know for sure.but he's rebuilding a 79 dodge charger now for the next bandit run.i wish i could go:(

  • Well I know it's either a 68 or 69 Charger for sure. I'd know those fenders and hood turn signals anywhere. I miss my 68.

  • I am going to dust off the 79 in my garage right now and do some doughnuts, what a cool video

  • nice cars!! regards!

  • a 78-79 T/A cutting doughnuts is THE most beautiful sight on the fucking planet!!!!

  • i wish i was there =*(

  • Great video, good old buddys. Bandit passion its alive, and good job to Year One people.

  • I love how you can see the chunks of rubber fly off at 2:21...pretty sick.

  • I'm gonna bar-b-que your ass in molasses!!

  • Jesus their goes a set of tread

  • I saw this when it came through Tupelo, MS. Talk about kick-ass.

  • lol!dodge charger!a charger spends more time in car workshop than on the road!

  • I can attest to this. My 74 Dart is the most cold-blooded vehicle I've ever encountered in my life.

  • its too bad that theres only one real car there, the General Lee, although the trans am is a nice little toy the real car is the Dodge charger aka the GENERAL LEE BABY!

  • yeehaa ya brother u tell em lol

  • man i have got to bring my trans am to the bandit run this year

  • I did not know about this run But Next car I'll be there.

  • You couldn't see it from the ground but the gold T/A burned out

  • Coming down from Victoria Canada. Going to be there in 09

  • Be part of it next year then! :D I know I won't miss it for the world.. I just gotta remember to bring an extra set of tires this time.. :D
