I got mine piericed with a gun the first time. she messed it up so bad. so I tried it again on the other side, stupid me, once again with a gun, and she piericed totally different than the first time, and once again, it got really badly infected and I had to take it out. I waited a year, and I think sometime when it starts to warm up a little, I'll get it done again with a needle. :)

I got my upper cartilage pierced later that year and THAT hurt like HELL. I would NEVER get that done again. It hurt for seriously like a good 8-10 months after too (well I should say it was "tender" for that long after) ..... had to sleep on the opposite side. ugh. never again on that one!!!!

The guy who did my nose did it super fast. He put a metal think in my nose to catch the needle and the ring was already attached t othe top of the needle to it was one quick swoop. No waiting to have the stud put in. Didn't cray AT ALL! And I'm a pussy!

I have a really important question about my nose piercing..hopefully you or someone can help me.... ok so i had my nose pierced for about 6 months now, and 3 months ago, i went to put in a new cork screw, and it took me 3 hours to get it in.. so i took the cork screw and bent the "U" shape straighter so it would FINALLY get through my nose (which it did) and my nose piercing is ALWAYS sore. could this be why? or is it because of something else? i think it depends on the persons thickness/thinness of the nose. people with thin noses said it doesn't hurt. i have sorta a thick nose and i want to get it done , so probably it'll hurt like a bitch
@rubyhaya haha it wasn't that bad . my mom even recorded it haha . i should post it :D anyways , to answer your question it hurt for like 3 seconds tops , and the pain level on a scale of 1-10 , it was a 6 . the worst part isn't piercing it itself , it's putting the jewelry . and needles are more hygienic and sterile so i would always get it done with a needle , unless it's in the ear . but once it's over your piercing is just hot , and a little sore . but trust me , the pain is soo worth it (:

@AnushkaPARAMORE I say needle, the gun messes up your cartilage more & the pain wasn't that bad. I was 12 when I got mine. It was like a month before my birthday. I was really scared and shaking because I HATE needles, but I had to ask if it was done because I couldn't even feel the needle. I don't know if I have a high tolerance for pain of what but I guess that's what it comes down to. I think you should get it done. The only thing that kinda hurt was when the ring went in. @katie310433 you should talk to your boss about that some companies allow you to have nose piercings, but they have to be flesh toned jewelry because taking it in and out so soon after getting it done can affect healing time and the hole could close in those few hours of having it out
how much did it cost? i'm thinking of getting mine done but i would have to remove it for work. i work 3-4 hours a day, 2-3 times a week. do you think that would be a problem even if i wear it whenever i dont work and i clean it every time i remove it and put it back in?
@katie310433 around 60$.. and not really.. i'm not sure cause for everybody it heals differently. lots of people can take to a nose piercing very easily. for myself, that is not the case and i wouldnt be able to do that. not to mention that it's not good to be touching it at all for the first couple months

I'm getting mine done this Saturday and I'm really scared does anyone have any advice! I broke my arm and that didn't hurt one bit maybe a little but nothing serious so I need some advice

Skiz, some people take the pain differently, i didnt feel anything but a pinch, but on the other hand i handel pain really well

haha i have both of my nostrils pierced and i just got my right side one done today and it wasnt by a proffesional and my friend used a sewing needle and i had to push the nose piercing through some of my skin to get it to get in. now thats pain. lol.

@skiz689212 I don't know why people say it doesnt hurt... IT DOES. But the pain is over with in like 2 mins and it is TOTALLY worth it!!!! If I can do it ANYONE can.. Im terrified of needles. Theres a video of mine on my channel. :)

i think it depends on the persons thickness/thinness of the nose. people with thin noses said it doesn't hurt. i have sorta a thick nose and i want to get it done , so probably it'll hurt like a bitch

@h0esbetrippin it also depends on how thick the needle is and the needle she got it done with looked REALLY thick you should get a smaller size

@rubyhaya haha it wasn't that bad . my mom even recorded it haha . i should post it :D anyways , to answer your question it hurt for like 3 seconds tops , and the pain level on a scale of 1-10 , it was a 6 . the worst part isn't piercing it itself , it's putting the jewelry . and needles are more hygienic and sterile so i would always get it done with a needle , unless it's in the ear . but once it's over your piercing is just hot , and a little sore . but trust me , the pain is soo worth it (:

I'm 12 and come on guys I had to do mine 4 times with a needle and my mom did it for me it doesn't hurt that bad on a scale of 1-10 mine was like a 3 or 4

Aw, I feel for you girl. Just got my nose pierced a 2nd time (small hoop below the stud I have already) & I was stupid & didn't eat anything all day beforehand. Almost passed out. Make sure you guys eat something first! I've had my industrial pierced before & my tragus, (& I've been tattooed) & I have to say, the nose is the worst pain I have felt getting anything done to me. Maybe I just have a sensitive nose? It really does hurt a lot.

ouchh. I'm thinking of getting a black nose ring (wahoo!) when im a bit older, and I'm getting it done with a needle..but whats better? needle or staple thing? and did it really hurt THAT much? im getting stressed out.. :L

@AnushkaPARAMORE I say needle, the gun messes up your cartilage more & the pain wasn't that bad. I was 12 when I got mine. It was like a month before my birthday. I was really scared and shaking because I HATE needles, but I had to ask if it was done because I couldn't even feel the needle. I don't know if I have a high tolerance for pain of what but I guess that's what it comes down to. I think you should get it done. The only thing that kinda hurt was when the ring went in. Hope I helped!! :D

I'm pretty sure it hurt you that badly because she went pretty slow with inserting the needle. I've never seen a piercer use two Q-tips as a guide....

I did mine myself and it turned out fine(:
I love it! Mine dident hurt at all! It was a little pinch and that was it.. It really only hurts afterwards. And it took 3-4 days to heal.

I just got my nose pierced today!! It didn't hurt at all!! On a pain scale 1-10, 10 being the most painful, i give it a 0.5. My eyes didn't even water. :S

I got mine done a year ago and it didnt hurt at all! it just felt like a pinch! its fast and easy, my eyes watered alot but im glad i got it done :)

@katie310433 you should talk to your boss about that some companies allow you to have nose piercings, but they have to be flesh toned jewelry because taking it in and out so soon after getting it done can affect healing time and the hole could close in those few hours of having it out

how much did it cost? i'm thinking of getting mine done but i would have to remove it for work. i work 3-4 hours a day, 2-3 times a week. do you think that would be a problem even if i wear it whenever i dont work and i clean it every time i remove it and put it back in?

@katie310433 around 60$.. and not really.. i'm not sure cause for everybody it heals differently. lots of people can take to a nose piercing very easily. for myself, that is not the case and i wouldnt be able to do that. not to mention that it's not good to be touching it at all for the first couple months
