I bet some good food is prepared in your kitchen. I am getting ready to clean a 1959 nutone copper hood with original motor. I also have a kelvinator 1954 fridge that came with the house in the garage, still running strong.
I am disappointed that you don't really show how you removed, cleaned and reinstalled this fan. I have the identical model and was looking for some directives - like what kind of cleaner to use. You're right it's a good fan.
@mttunnelvision - It's a straightforward process, getting it down is a matter of unplugging the motor, loosening a couple of screws on the bracket ends and giving the motor a slight twist. I removed the blade & bracket from the motor and soaked them in hot water with dish soap, wiped the motor off with a rag and Brake Cleaner. I also oiled the motor with a few drops in each oil port. When reassembling, you may need to play with the bolt tightness & be sure the motor spins freely.

@1944johndeerel - Yeah, it's pretty pleasant to use it now. It just makes a "whoosh" sound when it's on now.

only problem? It doesnt have that awesome starup sound.

@Tabby266 - Yeah it became a lot more faint after the fan was oiled, the motor starts up a lot faster than before.
